Best advice anyone can give you.  Play the game for yourself and make your own decision.

You can find the game in bargain bins for 20 bucks.  That's less than half of the new games coming out.

Make your own decision.  Fanbois and the rest of us have ours already.

big ones, because i've no desire to go through all those paragraphs and summarize for those too lazy to read it themselves...

1.  After level 10 your thrown to the winds.

2.  Quests are not layed out well to guide the player.

3.  Some quests have zero in game information, you have to be lucky or ask somebody or use a website.

4. Pisspoor implimentation and location of new quests and old quests

5. Cookie cutter path to 50, all toons do basically same thing to level

6.  Flying mounts for end game...this is stupid, you need them at lvl 15, you basically do NOT need them at lvl 50

Just to name a few....

Just as an aside I LOVE VG and think it's a wonderful game.  I also think every point suggested would improve the game a thousand fold.

The people yelling keep it the same are the problem.  They are too closeminded and blind to the obvious to see how good this game could be, if it would update.

Millions do not play EQ1 and VG together.  I would be frankly amazed if the populations of both right now were even 500,000.

I've heard of all 3 and I would not PAY to play any of them, which was my entire point.

Thank you Hazmal, that's pretty much what I suspected.

Thanks for the reply.

use the beta as an example.  Destruction pretty much wins every single time.  Abusively so.

They have removed every reason I can think of to play Order.  None of the classes seem interesting to me and they don't have trollslayers.  So basically no point in playing Order.

Has anybody actually played a healer in RvR that can answer this.  Not really interested in your opinion.  I'd like FACTS.

It looks like the beautiful awesome version of freelancer I've been waiting for years to be updated and upgraded.  I simply can't wait to try this one out.  I'd pay to play what I just saw.  Looks fantastic!!

Zero Solo Game.    Plain and simple.

I know it seems like this would not be the reason but I beta'd this game and played for over a year.  The lack of solo content and EXTREME need for a good group for the medium to high lvl content drives people away.

It's why I left.  There are times you have to wait hours to find a group.  You cannot progress without doing x to y to z at certain points so getting that group is necessary.

Having that kind of limitation is the reason this mmo has not exploded into a tremendous success.

The addition of solo dungeons was laughable.  It gives people something to do while they are waiting for a group at certain points.  There was not enough of them and they gave too little reward to help the game.

I'm not interested in starting areas, opinions on character development, styles of play, combat, etc.  I am interested in ENDGAME.  I am not interested in how much you like it.  I only wish to know specifics please about the game not you.

AoC had a wonderful starting area.  The levels were adequate and the first 20 levels are very nice and enjoyable to experience with a well laid out play area and storyline.  After that the game sux bawls so bad it was a waste of time going beyond the starter area.  Practically none of the items promised for endgame existed at launch.

I am curious about what a lvl 40 character will do 2 weeks after launch.  Why do I say 2 weeks after launch, i expect to see numerous people lvl 40 after 2 weeks. So again my question for all the fanbois who refuse to read past the first line of text, I'm only interested in ENDGAME.  What is it like for those that have been there?

Thanks for your input if you choose to answer my question.

The single most game-breaking factor in AoC for me and my wife was the fact that grouping was pointless and you were actually punished for doing so in early levels.

Secondly I'll be looking at balance issues.  AoC had and still has MASSIVE character balance issues.  With WAR being all about the pvp then balance is a HUGE issue.  I'll be looking at the balance not only between destruction and order but also between ranged and melee.

I am looking for a game where my wife and I can enjoy playing it together.  If WAR doesn't offer a good environment for GROUP play then it will be thrown out just like AoC was.  It's called an MMO for a reason.

AoC was stupid.  They punished you for grouping.  Dumbest damned game design I've seen in years.  Those guys are idiots.  If you take a pile of crap and decorate it to make it pretty, you wind up with a pretty pile of crap.

I'm hoping WAR will be a vast improvement over what I've seen so far.  My Beta experience has left me with high hopes.

entirely depends on if they have fixed ranged combat.  At present melee classes obliterate ranged classes.

Any melee class will abuse a bright mage, which I want to play.  IF they fix ranged, i'll be a bright mage, IF they do not, I doubt anyone will play a ranged class for very long.

I know they said that a good half of the game is based around PvP so I expected at least that much, it's good to know that the other have is PvE and that it at least will engage the PvE crowd.

I'll be playing regardless.

Thanks for the response Marl.

Marl can you enjoy the game without having to PVP or is it a PvP centric game?

I'm curious if the beta testers will be purchasing the Collector's Edition of the game.

I made the mistake of buying the AoC CE and it was a complete waste of money.  Will the WAR CE be worth the extra dough or is it another waste of money?
