With all the PvP options on PvE servers, PvP servers feel like an unnecesarry feature.  Espescially since there are no game features that give people a reason to do open world PvP except ganking..

^^  This

So 8 battle leve's over 32 hours...and they only take like 2 hours to do...so your paying to play a game for 2 hours and your paying the same amount all other games charge with NO LIMITS.

Why do people play this game again?  Why would I pay for a game I can only play 2 hours in 32?

Go Beastmaster / Champion / whatever warlord is fine.   Most pts in BM and 2nd up champ.  Remember your third class is just there for flavor on most efficient builds.  Putting more than starting points into build 3 will gimp you later.

For your wife, Ranger / Marksman / Assassin.   Low points bards are worthless.  She also doesn't want to put more points into her third class for reason listed above.  Assassin gives poison damage buff without spending any points.  Ranger as primary gives you AoE attacks while hubby tank holds agro.  Marksman for the increased DPS.

That's a monster duo, the one your running now is gimping you.  Just FYI.

Wow....the spreadsheet with screensaver game won...

Congrats CCP.  Your game is garbage but good job impressing the loudest voices here.

I disagree with everyone in this thread...even the people I agree with.

Sentinel / Justifier / Whatever - don't need a third class with those first two

7 bucks

10 bucks

now you have all the content, 60 days free subscription time with full access to game

You can cap your level in under 90 days easily not playing more than 20 hours a week.

for 17 dollars...

Rather than listening to opinions without links, there ya go...facts WITH links :)

give it a shot for free, if you choose to pay, don't spend more than 20 bucks.

I said 30 bucks in my first post because I bought some points to spend on fluff.  I like fluff.  You don't have to pay anything though.

^ This ^

props to bansan, they play the way so many should.   You can play lotro without spending a dime.  If you spend just a tiny bit, less than 30 bucks, you can have all of the content and reach level cap with ease.

This game needs to be played slowly so you can emerse and really enjoy the content.  The story is fantastic and the game is absolutely beautiful with maxed settings.

I recently came back with my new rig.  Maxed out everything.  I'm enjoying myself a great deal while I wait on other mmo's to come out.  I would suggest you download it and try it yourself.

That doesn't cost you anything but time.  Do it while you sleep and even that is mitigated.

Have you tried Fallen Earth?

If you like post-apocalyptic themes you should give it a go.

Right now the endgame is pvp centric but they are adding content for a lot of other choices.

This game is really amazing.  It's themepark/sandbox mix.  The closest to a real sandbox game I've seen in years.

You can also get it really cheap on steam with a mount to start with!

1. Crafted gear was in every example I found, BETTER than quest gear or drops.

2.  Game was beautiful and very polished.

3.  Leveling was steady and not a chore.

4.  Game did not feel like a grind at all.  Questing brought good XP gains.

5.  The story is good.  If you bother to read the quests they make sense and you have a reason for doing what you are doing.  Many of the complaints are from people I honestly doubt read anything.

The game does lead you along with quests and can seem very linear.  There is an easy way to break this cycle.  When you find a group of quests together DO NOT TAKE THEM ALL.  Take one of them.  On your runs back and forth harvest items and craft.  Explore while your running around.

People get bored because they CHOOSE to get bored.  Playing the same way in an MMO will get boring regardless of the MMO.

Rift is a very polished, pretty, fun version of WoW and Aion and WAR and all the other themepark MMO's out there.  This is EXACTLY what the devs said they were doing.  They said flat out they took all the games they played and picked the parts they liked.  They used this to create Rift.

I'll be buying it and enjoying it when it comes out.  I hope, if your not playing Rift, you find a game you like.

1. Redesign gameplay for solo ability in all quests from 1 to cap.  Whatever cap is and will ever become.

2. Add real pvp.  Monster play is stupid.  Give me a race, from 1 to cap, that HATES the goodies.  Goblins, Orcs, Trolls, Worgs etc etc.   Let me grow them up and grow to care about them during the process.  I could care less about my monster toons, I never play them because they took nothing to attain.

3. Seperate Servers for F2P and P2P.  Not because the P2P's deserve it, but more so we don't have to listen to them whine anymore.  They can stay on their server until it dies from lack of elitist jerks.

WoW

It's fun.  It doesn't feel like work and it's not horridly monotonous.  EvE is both of these.

Lotro maybe, but it just got boring too quickly.

Yes it is.  It's good because I did NOT spend any money on this game.

I can watch everyone complain about how bad it is and know that waiting and watching was the RIGHT idea.

It's what I'll do with all games now.  I could care less about being in the first month or first two months.

When one is a turd, I'll have my 50 bucks still in pocket with a smile.

I was excited about this game.  But I have been burned a LOT.

I chose to wait this time.   I am so glad.

With all the bad, and so very little good, I have seen about this game there is no way in hell I would pay for it without a trial.

NO WAY.

Pay 5 dollars.  Get the weekend sub for live.  Make a toon there and see that every server is DEAD.

After you realize everyone from live is lying in the desperate hope they can save their dying servers, switch and make a FREE toon on the Extended servers.

Play on bronze for a while and learn the game.  You'll have LOTS of help from the LOTS of population.

We also have numerous lvl 90 raid guilds ACTIVE right now.  The Live people are lying about this as well.

We have endgame right now on extended.  They just hate admitting it.

The total cost to you, to find out for yourself which you prefer, is 5 dollars.

That's the cheapest way you can find out for yourself, which you prefer.  Try both.  5 bucks.

1 year of live = 143.99  all expansion must be purchased, 40 a pop.....on a dead server where you have to solo all 90 levels to get to any players....

1 year of platinum 200 = EQ2x server with population at all levels, and full game just like Live.

+  Sentinel's Fate Included

+ 6000 Station Cash spread out 500 per month = 5 bucks a month = 60 bucks

+ 10 character slots

+ next expansion included free

So Platinum EQ2x = 140 bucks with SF included, don't have to buy it.  The Station Cash = 60 bucks for the rest of the 200.  Also you get next expansion free, so 40 more bucks.   Live subs will have to pay 40+ bucks for this.  And you get 10 slots, regular Live subs do not, never will, etc.  And you get servers with population at all levels.

I'm not sure where exactly you see Live being better than EQ2x.  The math disagrees with you, and so does the population.

Then do not play it.

Thx k bai...

I cancelled my Live subscription and moved to Extended.  Been there a month, will continue to subscribe as gold member while I think about platinum and I have no regrets.

Not sure why so many Live subs are whining about it, except they now have to admit their servers are dying or dead.

Just come play extended and enjoy the game again.

I like playing tanks, I like playing healers.

VSoH is the first game that let me do both in the best hybrid class I have ever played.

The Disciple is the most unique and fun to play class I have tried in any MMO ever.

It amazes me that no other game has grabbed this idea and run with it.

Healing can be fun but nobody wants to stand in back and mash the heal button over n over.

The disciple is right in the thick of combat.  Martial arts forms smacking the mobs and healing their companions all at the same time.  It's just great fun to play.

If you play VSoH and have not tried the disciple really you are missing out.  Make one and give it a try they are really fun.

I've heard all the arguments for RMT making something not free.  If you can play the game without paying a fee, it's free.

Difficulty is subjective to the player.

JGE is subscription based.  So your paying for it regardless.
