The bad as a title made me chuckle though |

The "stop UK and other EU players having to play apart thread"
General Discussion « The Chronicles of Spellborn 11/20/08 6:41:42 PM
Im really, really trying to figure out what went through their mind when they thought this up.. Is it because in Great britain you speak english..? If yes, that would be insanity and stupidious.
And about latency and community, currently im playing Eq2 with a guild that's practically only Staters, and most of the community aswell, but they are often online for me at the evenings/nights. And i don't mean after 12 << Sure, more action heats up after twelve but meh, there are still players around to chit-chat with. And i have no latency issues when playing.
Ro on the other hand was horrifying, i could have huge lagspikes whenever i played, but im just blaming Gravity for that :-p
Im sad that i won't be able to play with the people from the Uk. In my experience they have the weirdest and somewhat best humor you can get. And you gotta love the accent :-p
I'll go peek on the boards later when i wake up, hopefully lots of people on the TCOS boards are really making a big fuss about this.

What i recall the beta starts the 22nd which is tomorrow, (just going with my Gmt+1 time) So yeah, for all europeans i guess we have to wait until tomorrow. And finally i can see the game with my own eyes :D |
|

yeah, too bad we europeans doesn't speak english.. such a shame.
Im sorry, being a little racist are we? Sure, there are some people that doesn't type english in the ooc channels and such. but meh, even those who speak english as their native language have a somewhat retarded english. SKOOL N DAT Y'KNOW?

Too bad they have decided to shut down the game huh? |

He still reminds me of fanatical fanboys. To me he's just bragging about the game and how awesome it is. I know it's not <<
ah well, loads of people loves it so i can't argue with that.
But to call it the best mmo in the world and that nothing can beat it is a little too much. |

It's Korea, not Corea.
And oh, just because it launches soon in Korea, doesn't really mean it's getting close for a Western release. I'd say atleast half a year until it's released. Faster depending on if they have a company releasing it here in europe/states and such. Buut yeah, only time will tell. |

And no. Don't go wow, stick with Eq2. Personally it has the best Community ive seen (except for Pre-nge swg and Iro) And what is this rabbeling about no content in Eq2? Im like level 40 and have seen more content and deph in this game than any other mmo ive played. Sure, Aoc has the graphics and fatalities. But ive heard so much more crap about that game. And the graphs in Eq2 is pretty good if you know how to tweak. But for all means, those who prefer aoc over Eq2 aren't mature mentally enough to bother with a game like Eq2. :p Cheers |

My first impression of the whole mmo community was Everquest. I've never had so much fun playing a game before. Everquest back then was probably the shizzle for everyone and there was so many people playing. Even though i didn't play that long (a week or two tops) I stil got a taste of the mmo's. The game i can really call my first is Ragnarok Online. Ive been playing since.. Well, as old this account is to now really. Heck, even longer than this account.. Love the old days of Iro. 10-20k people on each server and prontera practically impossible to move in due to all the shops :D |

Aion does not imperss me graphically, it looks like a revamp of L2 and has the same enviroment as wow, im sorry. But i won't give much faith in this game. Even if you say it's going be "no" grind (everygame has grind, so saying it won't is bullocks) and more western-style of a game. It will still be a korean game, isn't that right?
Edit, and oh, i didn't see the video, only the screenies someone posted

You should have been around when Asheron's call2 existed, nothing beats the sound of the arrow flying from your bow~ |

Oh yeah, drugs and booze is so much better. Let's see, concussions, amnesia, vomiting, back-fire from the drugs, death murder etc.
And mmo's, random nabs flaming "I POON YOU FU" and you get a laugh. I think i'd do the second <<
I do party occasionally, and it's not like the computer is my whole world. |

General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/12/08 12:00:12 PM
Awesome? Indeed. Most epic ever? Don't think so.
Heck, the first level 70 or 75 at lineage 2 was immortal for some reason (Godlike pvp spree anyone?) That was freaking epic. :-p |

Oblivion is no RPG. Oblivion is action game. It's a good action game. But don't expect it to be a RPG.
You create your own ingame persona which you roleplay. So it's not a RPG huh?! I don't think that you fully understand what the term RPG means.
It's not really a classic Rpg either. Morrowind is much better than oblivion to be honest. But as newer game i'd say Mass effect, Fallout 3 (which is pretty fun but oh so short) .
Real classics are, nwn1 and 2, baldur's Gate I & II, Icewind dale, Arcanum, Fallout 1 & 2. Any of those works pretty fine. Though the older ones are so much better than the newer ones. Cheers |

I just had to. Character, Melo Master you name it. Never had a jedi though, didn't care much.
Server, Kauri Sadly i cannot remember the name of the wonderfull clan i was in, even though it was CU it was some amazing experience for me to get to know people like them.
Too bad things ended up like this for Swg, and i hope KOTOR Online (or whatever Star wars game it will be) Will have a brighter future. |
