Every single game? Wow... I guess Counter Strike would be about as successful as AoC if every FFA server was 14 Terrorists vs. 2 Counter terrorists.
Just being a bit sarcastic here. Of course MMO's are different and in a lot of them you will have mechanics that allow griefing and such. One of the problems with AoC is that the mechanics promotes griefing. A select few people likes that, which is just fine but it does get a little funny when they start complaining about low server populations.
It is almost like they imagine that this sort of mechanic is happening in every single game

and this is a Fantstic point , like i said before im not complaining about the pvp server in general but more of a pvp standard for Games like Aoc , the reason being is that its tough for new subscribers to get a grasp in the game because a person is holding them back therefore the newplayer never reaches the same lvl or gear lvl of the pvper. This thread was just to show the Aoc community that , those 2% of the population are Destroying the Games playerbase.

lol you have an option in the option menu to show your helm or not.

And give it time most bots are in the higher lvl areas they will steal your mobs and get nice yellow drops.

dosnt help whne your lvl 68 and the pvper is a nicelly geared out 80's they can almost 1 shot me. how do those higher lvl people plan on protecting me. its the high lvls Grefing people thats the problem

its no pvp server or pvp man Read its . its about grefing. and how to stop it or fix it. the people in the Aoc community need to realize that they have a dieing community and they need to chill will the large amounts of player hate in the game because the whole game is pvp and the hate will kill the game.

i dont even wanna know how many people left the first few months because of the Crazy killing that was involved in the beggining. so with a dieing community i think 5 kill min and then leave then alone system seems fine.

i Understand Cimmeria is a Pvp server but when geared out 80's run around not letting people lvl it makes me wonder hmm Why am i playing this game. Now yes its a pvp server ok i get that the most you get out of a person is 5 kills and then you get no pvp exp.

So After being Camped for the 20th time i was sure they would have given up. nope
Seems all open world pvp is just little kids running around grefing others.
Even with this Criminal system its still pretty bad.

Also for the people who like to pvp in the Starter Zones. its a nice way of letting people that are new to the game to get the feeling that if they enter a zone they will just die die die die die.

Just because you have a gun dosnt mean you should run around just shooting it off.
i propose a justice system. kill a red person who is all murdered out and get a boost to some stats. good people increased Def Bad people Increased Attack.

Age of conan. Ehh the only game that still have some what of a good play through. fun story nice lvling system. nice Character builds.

i mean i tried eq2 and there just wasnt any people.
Aion is nuts Sacks on your chin.
WoW just lost its Worth after about a month.
No one plays Daoc to make it fun.
Aoc is the closets thing i can get to Daoc.

Thats why Daoc was and still will always be the best game ever. on the RP servers you could get banned for not rp in the Global chat area. or someone could report you.

now i dont play WoW but i have. and the one thing they have that none other do is. THEY GIVE A CRAP.

Make a Game that you care about first make sure it dosnt suck second Listen to the General population. and the money will Flow. Its like Running a Resturant your building might look pretty but if you food sucks , people wont come,then word will get around and bam your out of buisness.

i have to agree with alot of it. but you must also remember mmorpg's are a small buisnes's at first. so Funcom see's that in the begining they spread themselves very thin and the reason why everyone took off was because of the pvp issues with open world pvp greifing people to leave the game And the Fact that 3 months into its launch the game had ZERO endgame. Marketing can only go so far you Can market the shit out of a game like Aion did and in the end if you dont Provide a F$%king amazing experience you SOL. Now with WoW that did some smart moves for instance.

Wow was Simple to pick up and play for the young and or new mmo player. < Bam selling point

They Released the Game with Bugs yes but the Game was Decent. < didnt lie that it was gonna rock your socks off.

now that they spent the time to polish there new baby they have all the money in the world. and yes people with always watch Wow to either see it Rise to new heights or to see it Crumple.

Conan is a sleeping Giant thats Run by people Who just are not Equiped to Handle it.

Yeah i Fell for the aion trap also , i have a 40 cleric and an SM. the higher lvls is serious Grind. For instance at 37 you get 3 quests for blue items in Alsiq Village. Each quest requires between 80 and 170 Oath papers. now you get 1 oath paper for ever 1 Elite you kill or you can do a quest which you have to kill mobs to get 60 Mask's which drop about 95% of the time then when you turn in the Quest you get 10 papers. :)

i Came back to Aoc and im having a blast this is the Game of ultimate skill.

After almost a year im going back to Age of conan. the Game was Fantastic just had no Endgame at the time of release. but now its all fixed.

i need a phone # because i got ahold of a gm and they said they fixed it , but its still not fixed lol.

yeah man do a 1 month sub then do a one year.

Still nothing.
