Thanks for the replies everyone! 

We do play MInecraft together, since that happens to be my current game addiction. I've tried a couple of my first mmo's; Runescape (bleh) and Conquer Online. Niether really grabbed his attention which is one of the reason I posted in the first place. 

I would like to try and find a game that he enjoys because it's his character, but also a game that I don't mind playing at the same time. I updated DDO and we will be trying that with in the next couple days but I doubt he'll get into a game like that.

I may just be a nut to think a 3 yr old will enjoy anything since he will not get to mash my keyboard to play, but I'd like some idea's anyways. I am looking to have a game him and I play just to bond a little more. I get that most parents like to say their kid is advanced in a lot of things, but mine is when it comes to things like this. 

If you think I'm a nut post that with a game suggestion. I wont get offended I just want idea's.

What model laptop do you have? Sounds like my G73 with less ram. I haven't found a game that I couldn't play yet. I also had a old school desktop that played a lot of games since I upgraded it and added a 9800 gt (that I had to bend slightly to fit on the mother board lol). I guess I over upgraded that, but since I've had the G73 I haven't touched it.

I guess my point is that my desktop managed to last a solid 6 years with many hours of game play. Also my old Toshiba laptop with a on board garbage intel videa card, played a lot of the same games as my desktop just not at the same level. That lasted about 3 years and it wasn't a gaming rig. 

I hope the G73 added some future proofing to my gaming experience or else the wife is going to be pissed lol.

The reason there will always be multiple options is answered in this threads debate. Different people like different things. 

I personally like all models depending on my real life schedule. When I'm so busy with work and the family that I cannot justify $15 a month for 2-3hrs of game time, I like the b2p model since I can get on whenever I want and not feel like I'm wasting money. I only like a couple f2p games and those are facebook/browser based games. The 3d free games have yet to pull me in... Exception being DDO but even then I paid a monthly sub to access all the content.

How has the OP been on this website since at least 2006 and this is a argument? I call shenanigans... or epic fail.

I guess it is always possible the op hasn't played any game but WoW but I find that unlikely. 

It's buy to play and has jet packs :)

We should really just stop responding to these lame threads. 

I wish you all the luck in the world in making your dream become reality. I will talk it over with my wife and hopefully help you out. It maybe only a dollar but at least that's 1 less you have to get later on.

Thanks for the article. Having not played the 4th addition rules of dnd and not hearing that great of reviews of it, except that it would make a good video/mmo game. I hope they do it right since it's not a mmo lol.

I totally agree here lol. 

I would love it if Blizzard would make a sandbox mmo. They are one of the few Devs out there that could do it right imo. I am not a huge WoW fan but that doesn't mean I haven't played it or appreciate it's polish. If only other Devs out there could polish their games as well.

Devil, that is exactly how I feel. I sure hope that Salvatore's got more input than storyline. I am a huge fan of his work, especially the non dnd stuff he writes. But I highly doubt he'll have any trumping power over Cryptic and Atari. 

I hope that Cryptic and Atari have learned their lessons and will create an amazing game that is properly published.

When I picked up Salvatore's new book Gauntlgrym, I thought it odd that it also said, Neverwinter Book 1. Until I received an email that led me to the link above. It says it's a online game but I wasn't sure if I was excited about it. When I first found out about DDO I was thrilled from the second I heard of it. Could it be that Atari is involved or could it be how vague the term online is being used?

I'm just wondering what your thoughts are about this and if you have heard anything more than me.

I heart my i7 but I know as with everything computer the top only stays there for about 3-6 months. There are a lot of great pre-made systems out there that wont have the bloat ware and other bs we all hate. The ASUS RoG line is nice imo. I got the G73 and was surprised when I got it and it wasn't loaded with crap.

I know your looking to get a desktop so RoG isn't your thing but ASUS has nice desktops out there for very nice prices.

Edit: I guess ASUS does make RoG desktops.

I'm looking to upgrade to the full version as soon as I can figure out a way to lol. Getting laid off next month isn't helping my cause though... Is the only way to upgrade through the digital option trough GA?

Global Agenda has a f2p option to lvl 15. If you like it drop the $30 on it and your good forever... Well until the game closes lol
