Good morning Daevas!

As you probably noticed, we've completed a server wide reboot without much notice on a day that we typically don't perform maintenance. It's only fair that we keep you in the loop and make sure you know what's going on. Over the last week we've been working on a list, we've been checking it twice, and today we found out who was naughty or nice. Ban Hammer Claus just came to town. When the servers come back online, nearly 16,000 accounts will have been removed from the game. If your account was banned, please read the following FAQ.

1. Why was I banned?

There could be many reasons your account was closed. If you did not receive notification of your violation via e-mail please create a support ticket and the violation will be explained to you. Please note that if your account was closed for the use of 3rd party software (botting) or participating in RMT (gold buying/selling) the evidence for the account closure was gathered over several weeks. It may be completely unrelated to what your character was doing right when your account was closed.

2. ... but I wasn't botting, buying Kinah or spamming advertisements! I'm innocent!

Any action that modifies the client or automates the same way a bot does could potentially flag an account as a violator. We do not use one specific instance to "flag" an account for botting or RMT. We use many instances to strengthen our conclusions. Please understand that it is not what "you" have done on your account, but what the account has done. If your account is shared, purchased, borrowed, or power leveled, it could be the actions of anyone who?s ever used the account.

3. I'm aware of all of the above, but I have never done any of it. Who do I contact?

To request a review, please create a support ticket.

We are taking a very hard stance on this issue and do have sophisticated processes and procedures in place that help us keep unwarranted banning to a minimum. If you believe you've been wrongfully banned, you can email us at support@ncsoft.com, and we will review your account. Our goal is to ensure our legitimate players are having the best game experience possible. Please note that you don't need to submit multiple tickets, as we will review a specific case only once. We obviously take these violations seriously, but also want to make sure that legitimate players aren't banned unnecessarily.

If i was a knight would you walk up to me and tap on my armor to see its thickness or check how sharp my blade is? would you ask around and see who I killed? no of course not because if you touch or even ask about my stuff I would kill your ass.

A lot of these developers think their delivering a service to players by publishing information of every ones characters on the net, taking away players privacy. Giving the elitist pricks ammo to be even bigger douche bags.

I work hard for my stuff and instead of using crappy mechanics to sneak a peak at my stuff or achievements in a game maybe you could be a god damn human being and get to know me first and just ask.

Its pretty simple imo.

Hey Why are you using that spec? FU!!!

 

Its all bullshit and I hate it. I tell my friends and decent people that are willing to socialize what spec I am or what im training and what adventures i've been on. some ass hat that wouldn't give me the time of day shouldnt be able to just right click me and see my shit or visit a site and pre judge my gaming capabilities.

So I say fuck the man! and no!!! You can't see my stuff!!!!!!!!!!

If I were the King (Raid Leader) and I asked to see your Armor (Gear) you would show it without bitching...

If I asked where your trained (Spec) again you would tell me..

I think the UI is alot like WOW, not thats a bad thing - Its a lot easier to pick a new game if its like your old game :)

First of all, thank you all for your help and please keep it coming. I can see N>G on raids and having the officers just keep track via raidtracker or something of who gets what, but we put all of the frost orbs and BOE's in the guild bank and I was looking for a way to have members be able to "buy" stuff out the GB without using cash. (We also have matts, enchants, pots, etc in there)

(Bank Items) A point system would work good for that imo

Maybe +1 for being on time +2 for raid boss and +3 for completing the raid (This I would do based on a 3+ boss raid not single boss raids - IE Naxx/ULD/TOC) and then all points reset on a monthly basis.

imo NbG is the best way w/ mainspec getting 1st dibs

After patch 3.3 all your guild should be in 232 soon.

With the speed of leveling in wow now, it never to late you can be 80 pretty quickly.

as far as grouping before 80, there is some but mostly its not nessasary other than 5 mans and group quest.

People act like this isn't how life works...

My favorite memory;

My cousin and I were in Lake Rathe and some new player ask if we could join our group, we said sure.

Well when he and I played we use to talk on the phone while playing.  Well we decided to have some fun with this new guy....

We told him of the stories we had heard about the Sea Monster that was in Lake Rathe, so my cousin was in control of the boat and I acted as if I had to leave, I popped levitae and ran accross the water.  Then I started casting damage spells on my self and talking in group chat, saying taht the sea monster was attacking me.  We  had the new guy so scared, this was back when if you died in a bad spot you might just lose your char, no graveyards yet!

My cousin made up some story about having to log and left the poor guy in the middle of the lake.

I still wonder if he ever left that boat in the middle of the lake or just /camped   lol

I paid 10 bucks for 1 year of Fileplanet, best $10 I ever blew...

I have used AVG for years and I have never had a virus on my PC.

Alot of it has to do with your surfing habits as well.

Not sure if its possible in an MMO but Dark Sector's auto scaling AI is baddass.

In DS, if you killing everything w/ ease the game ramps up the difficultly, if you dying alot it lowers it.
