Interesting read-

Seems like a fairly balanced description of the game in  it's current state.

I'm in a squad, we are on the allied side, and are a organized, dedicated, fun squad.

Squad night is Friday and Sat (800 est ish) we are willing to show new people the ropes and help gain rank.

our website is www.75thguards.com

we are on allied TS, and have our own Vent server.

Check out our webpage for more info.

cya all in game,

Dalziel

I agree with a lot of what the op wrote,

I feel PvP is important tho, yet needs to be done well- should be balanced and fun.  You will win some and lose some, deal with it.   I also like the idea of no levels.  I hate to grind, but I also don't want my hard earned levels trivialized.

I live in the US, and would like to play cabal online.  Any idea on how i can play outside eu?  When cabal goes free can all play?  Any help or info would be appreciated, thanks!

Pay based no- in its current state it would not make it.  F2P its decent,  I love the gameplay, pvp and gvg.  If it had an updated engine and graphics, with a decent quest system and lore, who knows.  The Idea has potential
F2p ya people still play-
Shadowbane  is all about the pvp, gvg.  If I were in charge of improving the game I would add some quests, update graphics, and keep the current char creation.  I love the detail and diverse amount of chars you can make. I like the pvp, its massively merciless.   Adding quests and pve would appeal to more of a player base.
GnH looks pretty good from what I have seen.  PvP looks cool, PvE looks good, and the game looks like its a well rounded game so far. So my question is, who will try the game when it's released?  I know I will.
always try a game for yourself- dont let others decide for you.
I recently reactivated my subscription to RFO.  I left bc of the grind.  They have reduced the grind, and increased the exp/pt gains. They are currently plannin on merging servers to one server, like in eve.  Im not sure about only allowing one race per server, but I think they will nix that, prolly allow you to choose 3 chars to migrate (as long as names dont conflict) this should make massive chip wars.  Im torn between bel mau and acc.  not sure where i will go, prolly to the less populated of the 2, just for challenge.

IMO its worth a try, graphics are awsome, pvp is good, storyline is good tho not really much RP.  Free trial dont cost you anything so why not give it a try.  make up your own mind about games and dont base them on heresay or people who have not even gotten out of town to make the choice for you.

Not sure, but im in the same boat you are on this....
In some ways its like SB, the good parts of sb are in darkfall.
city cappin is better in DF bc its not all about capping and burning a city down, you want to cap it and then hold it and make it part of your kingdom, and get resources from it.

If open pvp scares you, you can go check out guild wars. I am looking foward to DF, the graphics, pvp, char development, no glowing names above your head, no fire and forget pvp.
