The devs on this game should have waited longer before allowing the public to test the game. I downloaded and installed it the other day. The patcher took forever to update the game and once I got in the game. There was nothing to test, no quests and no creature or NPCs to attack. Plus when I walked into a body of water. I started walking on top of the water, like I was Jesus of Nazareth. I know they are in very very early testing, but no one outside of their office should have ever seen the game this way. |

Holy Smoke Batman! All these AAA MMOs going F2P , is age of subscription dead ?

Last I heard APB was going to be B2P (Buy to Play), just like Guild Wars. Found this bit of info at the APB website: How much will APB cost? The actual price for the game itself is still under discussion but we’ll keep you up to date. We can confirm that APB will not require a monthly subscription. |

The Chronicles of Spellborn: Original Spellborn Goes Free to Play
News Discussion « General Discussion 8/14/09 8:09:07 PM
Its not a bad game (I played it in the Acclaim closed beta.), but I did see this coming from a mile away. I even said that Spellborn would go F2P within a year on the Acclaim forums back in January of this year and got my thread deleted by a Mod, lol. |

Aion: NCsoft: Aion Will be Second Only to WoW

Free Realms has 3 or 4 million and Battlefield Heroes a while back hit 1 millions. So really anything is possible. Of course the two I mentioned are free to play games, but players are players. Regardless if they pay tor a sub for a game or not. Plus Aion looks like it should be a F2P game anyway. I'd say it would go F2P like Spellborn is, but NCSOFT would ratherl kill a game before it would even go F2P(For example: Tabula Rasa.). |

Are you in to Console Gaming or PC Gaming?
General Gaming « General Discussion 8/11/09 8:09:33 PM
I didn't start this thread to create an argument. I started it to see who uses PCs, who uses consoles, and who uses both. Not to say one is better than the other. Maybe putting "vs." in the thread title was a bad idea. Maybe I should have just put something like"Do you use a PC or a Console for Gaming?". I don't know, sometime I wonder why I even bother visiting any forums anymore. Seems like hardly anyone can have a mature conversation anymore. So please lets keep it civil, or I'll ask a mod to delete the thread. Thank you in advance. |

I don't care, the game is boring. Doesn't take a high mental capacity to figure that out. Plus I was sorta joking anyway, well more being sarcastic. Even Casey Schreiner from G4TV.com's The MMO Report, yawns a lot by just taking about the game on his webcast and he has to talk about it. Lol. |

I played EVE once for a hour, but fell asleep after 5 minutes. You figure that one out. :D |

G4 got to talk to none other than Kevin Conroy (The voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne from Batman: The Animated Series) at the San Diego Comic Con. About him once again playing the voice of Batman, in upcoming video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. If your a fan of Batman:TAS or just a Batman fan in general? This is quite a fun interview to watch with this legendary voice over actor. Sorry I geeked out there a little, lol. http://g4tv.com/videos/40633/Comic-Con-09-Batman-Arkham-Asylum-Interview/?quality=hd |

I'd love to see Pirates of the Caribbean Online taken out of Disney's hands and remade. I love the movies, great stories, great characters, but that MMO seriously sucks noodles (Among other things.). How about a "The Princess Bride" MMORPG? For those who may not know its a book and it was made in to a movie back in the 80's. There was a pirate in the movie and mentioned other pirates as well. I'd say more, but I would want to ruin the book or movie. For someone who hasn't seen it before. It would be a nice balance between action, adventure, fantasy, and comedy. |

Are you in to Console Gaming or PC Gaming?
General Gaming « General Discussion 8/10/09 4:39:00 PM
So which platform do you use most for gaming? Are you hardcore PC? Hardcore console? Or are you a little bit of both? Personally I'm sorta a little bit of both. When it comes to MMOs and most online games, I go for the PC. Although when it comes to most offline games and some online mulitplayer modes, I go for my XBOX 360. I try to balance it as much as I can. |

Nothing except MMOs. For me offline games are for my XBOX 360 and my PC is for online gaming. |

Mass Effect 2 all the way. Mass Effect brought together my favorite genres, third-person shooters and RPGs. I can't stand-turn based games, so I stay away from most RPGs. Although I did play KOTOR 1 and 2, but only for the storylines and what you could do with the stories. Also can't wait for Star Wars: the Old Republic. Dragon Age looks alright, but I think I'd just rent it first. |

I've heard of the Timex Sinclair. My Dad had one, before I was born. I was born in 1978, so it was sometime before then. Lol. My C64 wasn't to high tech at first. We were using data cassettes, that looked like audio cassettes. Then we stepped up a floppy drive. That took the big old 5 inch floppy, but compared to the Sinclair. I guess it was high tech. |

My first PC, which I was technically the family PC. Not just my own, but it was a Commodore 64. Which was quite a good gaming PC, back in the 80's. I remimer I used to play B.C.: Quest for Tires, Back to the Future movie game, Batman: The Caped Crusader, and Fleet Feet, Zaxxon, Karateka , Underwurlde and others. How about you guys, what was your first PC? |
