For me with alot of them is the click to move. Simply hate click to move. Other than that I think many Korean MMOs ahave really good graphics, game systems, and storylines, but click to move drives me away from most. |

I think it would be kinda cool to have a G-Men/Mafia MMO with 3D graphics. Maybe it could be based on The Godfather, Dick Tracy, The Untouchables, or even a mixture of different sources. What do you think? Lets dicuss and flesh this out. |

Not a bad idea, but I think George Lucas will be making movies until here dies. Plus he really doesn't have anything much to do with most LucasArts games. Its only recently he was involved with a LucasArts game and that was The Force Unleashed, but he was only involved to keep the story within his official star wars canon. As for a LucasArts MMO, it seems their only interested in Star Wars. Star Wars Galaxies is dying yes, but their are rumors and half-confirmed Knights of the Old Republic and other Star Wars MMOs in the future. LucasArts earlier this year copyrighted and trademarked basicly the whole Star Wars galaxy for online gaming possibilities. Such as the movies, KOTOR, and the rest of the expanded universe. So basicly they could make a Star Wars MMO in any known war era. Whether this is just for Star Wars Galaxies, the LucasArts/Bioware project, or some future project. It just seems to me that this is their focus for MMO development. Of course anything is possible, they could change their minds or even have it in mind. |

I've always been more of an electronic gamer, manly PC and Consoles. Up until Star Wars: Kights of the Old Republic, I didn't play to many RPGs. My opinion of RPGs were colored by the original Final Fantasy on the original Nintendo. I don't care much for turn-based combat gameplay. What I did like about KOTOR that stuck out for me was, how you had all the different story arcs in the game. Hated the gameplay, but found pleasure in twisting the story as far as the game would allow. I've have played every light side and dark side arc, plus all the love arcs. I was the first one in my family or group of friends(Who had played the game.) to find the(Spoiler Alert!,lol) female Revan - Juhani lesbian love story. For the most part though I like action based games, especially 3rd person shooters, hack and slash, and action RPGs. One of my favorite games of the last year has been Mass Effects, has a great story with great story arcs, sweet graphics, and the gamplay is action based. One of the best games I have ever played, but I just played Star Wars: The Force Unleashed the demo the other day and I think may have a new favorite game. So basicly thats where I have been and where I am now. On a side note, here's hoping the KOTOR MMO rumors are true, lol. I know it was somewhat confirmed at E3, but there has been no official annoucement yet. So I'm not going to get my hopes up, like everyone else. |

I know what the MMORPG is and I have seen the trailers for it. My question comes from a banner I saw recently that said Warhammer was celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, 1983 -2008. I'm 30 years old , so where has Warhammer been for 25 year, if I have never heard of it before this MMORPG. Basically if someone has known of Warhammer for 10, 20, or even 25 years. Please give me a brief history, thank you in advance. |

What makes DCUO better than COH/V, huh? Well here my answer COH/V sucks alot. Before COH/V who had ever heard of the Statesman or Ms. Liberty. Now honestly tell me, who would you rather fight along side. Batman and Superman(Two of the greatests super heroes ever.) or the Statesman and Ms. Liberty(Which you can't even fight along side them.). Plus on the villian side The Joker and Lex Luthor are way cooler than that spider guy villian. Both City of Heroes/Villians and Champions Online will be dead, when DC Universe Online comes out. There is just no competition there. Only compettition would have been the Marvel MMO, but thats dead now. Kinda odd Marvel got canceled, but Champions Online gets made. Its one of those things that make you go, hmmmmm! Finally to be honest I could never get past level 10 in either COH or COV, both bored me by then. So I am super-hyped at the thought of playing in citys like Gotham and fighting along side heroes like Batman in DCUO. |

It gives new meaning to the crap that is turn-based combat. I joined the beta, because the story sounded really cool. I knew going in that it was turn-based, but didn't know your could make turn-based combat any crappier until I played this game. If I wanted to wait my turn to fight in a game, I'd play chess or checkers first, LOL! If I had to rate different areas of the game on a scale between 0 to 5. Zero being horrible and five be excellent, this is how it would go down. Storyline: 5 Movement: 4 Graphics: 3 Combat and Gameplay: 0 Well at least thats my 2 cent, who know other people may like this kind of game. |

What is WAR? Before the announcment of the MMO that EA is making, I had never heard of it before. Is it some PC RPG series like Warcraft or Diablo. Before Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Galaxies(I'm sorta a Star Wars fan. Can ya tell, lo.) I had never really played many RPGs. I remember when I was kid I tried the first Final Fantasy for Nintendo and hated it. So that sorta colored my opinion of RPGs, until KOTOR came out. Still to date only offline RPGs I like are KOTOR 1 and 2 and Mass Effect, but I am on the Warhammer Online Beta list. Due to the fact that I am sorta curious about what this is all about. |

There is a big void of WW2 MMORPG's or any War MMORPG for that matter That sounds kinda cool, any historical MMOs and not historical/fantasy like Silkroad. Why can't we have a historical game without magic. Only two I can think of are Pirates of the Burning Sea and Rome Victor. Never played Rome Vitor, but heard it sucks and I did play the beta for PotBS and its like the other SOE games. OK, but not great. A Chinese historical MMO based on the waring states before the Chin Dynasty would be cool. Don't get me wrong here I like mythology and some high fantasy(The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia), but sometimes it might be nice to have an MMO that is based on real events and not mix them with magic. Like the upcoming MMOs CrimeCraft or APB, but set in the past. I know I sound anal now, so I'll stop now, lol. |

For so long we have seen fantasy after fantasy game and to tell the true its boring the crap out of me. I know we got some sci-fi, but that not enough of a change. Developer need to look more into sci-fi and other genre that more people might want to play. Plus I think they should look into more media franchises, such as G.I. Joe and Transformer for two off the top of my head. Also some old media franchise games need new reboots, such as Star Wars and The Matrix. I'm not saying I don't like fantasy games. I would even like to see a Chronicles of Narnia MMO , but not made by Disney. They totally screwed up on Pirates of the Caribbean. Pirates as an MMO was such a good idea, but they made a PG-13 movie trilogy into a game for 10 year olds. With better graphics and a T rating. it might have been a lot better. Well that just my 2 cents Just for fun list some media franchises you'd like to see made into MMOs. Or ones that you just can't wait for that are in development. I've played the Asian version and it rocks. The new international one should be even better, because its made for a western market. I downloaded my client yesterday. I'm just waiting for midnight for the beta begin. |

Recently on my blog Media Monkey Ninja , I did a three part post on MMOs. Part one was on What is a MMO?, part two was pay to play games, and part three was free to play games. Please give it a read and tell me what you guys think. Keep in mind, I wrote these posts with the noob in mind. Basiclly a way to introduce readers to the MMO genre and to answer some of the questions of the beginner. Also feel free to post a comment and grab the RSS Feed while you're there.
