You've played WoW for years and thus your bored of it.

Honestly, you sound exactly like where I am right now, although because I do think I'll get bored of this game quickly like you (because it's not bringing anything new to the table) I'm just not going to buy it.

Holy smokes is that the worst thing I've ever heard in my life.

Just curious if this opens the game up to more hacking as opposed to games with custom engines.. I would assume it would if people can get in and see what makes the engine tick.

Odd that everyone is complaining about OS's and not the fact this game isn't anywhere near an MMO haha.

Did they ever say anything about it coming to the xbox 360? I know it's something they once said.. but maybe they said they won't now and I just missed it.

This is the same statement Blizzard puts out for allllll their games.

They will release it when it's ready.

This is why in general the games are so good and so well received.

Do I wish Diablo 3 was out now? Yes.

At the cost of it being a great game? No.

Its disappointing and of course money and/or current subs will play a factor in it.. but their message with new games is always the same.

Probably going to come back to AoC in the coming weeks.. just curious if I should do so with the expansion or not. What does a player starting from scratch get from the expansion?

I've had 2 goes at AoC and it failed to stick with me, however I'm bored and people seem to really be liking the game right now. I don't really want to get the expansion if it's not going to give me much until end game.. in case I get bored with it again.

However it its going to provide a bit more fun for the leveling process.. then I'll probably get it.

There's nothing wrong with point in click in general (namely the Diablo series) but these guys just didn't do it right. Nevermind the fact its on the wrong button (and you can't change it!) but I found it sluggish.. thinking I clicked on a mob then end up walking right through them etc. I played for a good couple hours and its just got too annoying to continue.

So by getting that email does it mean you got in? Or are they just letting you know that the CBT is happening and there's another application process..? I got the email as well but not sure if that means anything..

I was followed around every spawn, every noob spawn, in Copperdale for three days on my rerolled character. Monkfield was more of the same. Maybe not by the same person, but camping the newbie spawns? I mean c'mon, why do it? Those are not the most popular spawns in the game, I played long enough to know that. I've played other races, have gone to the same spawns, and haven't seen anyone for HOURS. Try again.

Come now.. you are just playing the wrong game and now complaining to others that you made a bad choice.

I don't play Darkfall just cause of it's FFA nature, cause I know, to me, that wouldn't be fun as there will be people who play within the games rule set.

They aren't assholes or jerks or whatever, they are playing the game they bought.. you sir, just picked the wrong game and need to stop crying to others about it.

Seriously.. it's a PVP server. You knew the rules when you made your toon (unless your an MMO noob which is a fair excuse I guess).

Yes there will be gankers, campers etc. If the prospect of this makes you unhappy, roll on an PvE server. This isn't just for AoC but for every game. People can be as childish, annoying, and rude as they want, it's the ruleset of the server that allows them to be.

I just find it very tiresome when people complain about this.

If you've never played it, try it.

It really is a great game, just that when you've played it for years, people can get tired and pissy about it. I do.

There's a free trial, and even the base game (no expansions) is like what.. $20 with the first month free.

The thing is, there is nothing unfeasible about it as it currently stands.

I am involved with a 200+ member (active members, not just padding numbers here) clan that is very well known ingame and we constantly have high level or level capped players in all sectors, almost anytime of day.

It`s just a matter of what you are willing to do on a personal level, many of us have no problem making the long journey back to the previous sectors. I find that it brings back a feeling of nostalgia from the original days of mmo gaming, as well allows me to plan and prepare for whatever I might be wanting to do during that particular playsession.

Sure, it can get boring, but travel isn`t really intended to be some dramatic, exciting event.

I do agree that it doesn't have to be some dramatic, exciting event, however if I've got an hour to play, and it's going to take me half that to get from A to B to pvp with some friends for example, I'll probably not bother.

I think you need to find a balance in there without making it to easy to get around. I think a train from a town in each sector could be a good solution.

I've thought about this as well as although it is 'real' that it takes you a while to get from A to B, its really not that fun and I think it is contributing to my indifference to play the game right now.

I've also thought about the train idea seeing as you see those tracks all over the place around the starter towns. The idea of contributing time to bettering the world and getting it out of the stone age is a good one. MMO's don't seem to spend much time on the player base actually effecting the worlds in which they play and I think this would be a great way to go about it.

If it had multi player ala Diablo 2... I would be all over this. However, single player games just don't do it for me anymore.  Here that devs? Get multiplayer going and I'll buy your game!

The pets aren't going to make your player any better or worse.. so who cares. Once they start charging for weapons or what not, then I'll chime in.

And hey.. the $5 to charities is a nice thing.. probably more then a good chunk of people bitching give in a year.

No, I'm still on trial.. however I have reinstalled it again on my Windows 7 machine .. someone had a sticky I believe on the forum named 'useful links' or something, just can't find it now. That was maybe last Thursday though so maybe they changed it.

I will be buying the game, so I could just get off my butt and do that.
