You do not get "hacked" unless you downloaded something you shouldnt have. Someone does not steal your info without infecting you a type or spyware or virus.

Interesting, usually the most reactive people and the first to throw the blame on the company are those who are at fault but won't admit it, it's been like this forever in every single activity, I learned it from the Lie to me show :D

Basicaly, every single botter could say they got hacked and that they didn't bot just to get their money back, you've got no case with NCsoft, I recommend denouncing the theft if it's really true to your CC company, so they can cancel your credit card accordingly to advoid a bigger harm, that should be your first priority, not posting about a game in forums.

Get it bought!  I've been playing since Beta and it's been getting better and better.

3.0 will rock the MMO world, the people who are talking it down are just trolls who have already made a stand against the game and are continuing on any bottom of the barrel arguments they can think of.

I bought it, but I am having trouble deciding which server to play on. 

 

what i woudl suggest is make a character of the race you want, then go to the map and look at the abyss. see if its balanced on how many forts each side has or if your side is being completely dominated. some servers are completely lop sided on fortress taking. the populations are pretty even but some servers the abyss is dominated by one side or the other. like mine the abyss was dominated by the elyos because it seems more powergamers rolled elyos on that server where the asmo have been taking their time leveling. but as we catch up on levels we're taking forts more and more a few times we had more than they did. so its evening out now.

Uhm...I don't know about your server, but on mine, fortresses change hands every day, so one day you'll see Elyos having 90% of the abyss controlled, and the next day you'll see Asmos having 90% of the abyss controlled, the sides are balanced, but this balance doesn't show up in the charts usually.

It seems like they're focusing more on adding PvE content.  I'm pretty sure the giant rock guy at the end is a siege golum of sorts (like Lineage IIs), because it appears as though he was summoned...  but they weren't in the abyss...  So maybe there will be rift sieges?

 

I personally feel that the abyss is too small.  It's good for making sure you run into the other faction, but I think an additional level is called for.  There should also be a reward / penalty system for hunting outside of your abyss tier.  Like if you hunt and kill above your tier you get a point bonus, and if you kill below your tier you get a major point reduction. 

 

There was abyss in the video.

Korean sites state that the ground abyss, which was rumored for the 1.2 patch back then, is seen in the video, that zone with a fortress and drakes firing up shit is a new layer for the abyss.

Afaik, this layer is only accessible through random rifts, and it is a high level area with party content.

Then they also show the golems, which are right outside of Pandemonium, where the new housing area is meant to be, so yeah, it seems there will be sieges to the capital cities surroundings.

Really? I can't see why some people make the big distinction between Twilight and True Blood. To me, they are the same and the only real difference is that in Twilight vampires SPARKLE.

Other than that....... they are both chick flicks imho. (yeah I know True Blood is a show... I'm married I've been forced to watch every single one)

 

In all honesty........ I like Twilight more than True Blood. But, that's just because I lived where Twilight is filmed and the scenery brings back memories. lol My dad called me the other day and said part of a scene in the trailer was shot about 1/4 mile from our house.

Oh come on, you and me both know those publicity stunts in L2 came once there were less than 10k legit players left, Aion has been released for less than 2 months...I don't give a shit if they do it for publicity as long as they do it, there's no reason for anyone to be unhappy about them banning cheaters, not even if you're trying to look at it from skepticism, good acts are good acts no matter what, and if these bans mean I will get more reactive enemies when rifting in heiron, then so be it.

Aion has been released for a year already in Korea...in L2, they release a new expansion every 6 months, and they seem to be catching up regarding translations (we got 1.5 at release). I don't think we're that far off tbh.

Darkfall was in development for a very long time. There was a period where we had no visuals to go by.

That would make your previous comparision completely futile then. We have visuals to go by in this case, added to actual ingame experience to try and match what we're looking to along with what we already know for certain.

Thing is, if you've played Aion already, you most likely can figure out what to expect just by looking at the video:

Pets/mounts system, where you must defeat them before chasing a la pokemon.
Capital cities surrounding invasion.
Housing, which seems to be present in a pre-capital city war zone.
Weather affecting the enviroment.
Swimming, and underwater content.
New weapons, so far, the whip and Bayonet, maybe more that i've overlooked.
Hints at possible directional attacks like in Dota?
Changes in the entire lighting system along with other graphical improvements?
Heavy inspiration in devil may cry's motorcicle sword and demon hand :P
Hinting movements that can make you hurt a friend by being thrown towards him.
Mounted combat.
Hinted aerial attacks from dragons to fortresses?
Aerial mines (must be a kind of aerial trap I guess).

Take all those elements, use your game experience to try to figure out how it might be implemented in order to change the game enough, but without reinventing anything really, and you will understand exactly what the trailer means.

And, it made me rejoice, I'm already level 50 with good gear, so bring the new content on ^^

Im level 46, it's taking me 2 days per level, guess it will go up to 3 at 49. It took me months to become level 80 in L2.

Good thing you can do pvp, instances, crafting and collecting abyss points before reaching those levels.

If that giant pillar of fire is warning me that I have a DoT on me that must be disspelled, then yes, the giant pillar of fire is useful. If we are talking about a game with 3 skills per class, then I might not need that giant pillar of fire.

Are we talking about basic PvE easy mode encounters here? Cause I was talking about complex fights and PvP with many skills available.

One of the keys in PvP based games is knowing your enemy, with flashy effects, developers are able to separate further the appareance of skills, what would competitive games like Dota do if the skills werent so over the top/flashy...you wouldn't know what your enemy is doing, specially if things get slightly massive.

In the example you've posted, Aion, If devs didn't separate the animation of skills such as word of destruction as much as they did thanks to flashy effects, I would die a lot, lucky me, thanks to the visual help im able to identify the skill my enemy is using and react accordingly.

Blade and soul is awsome. I just buy it and im addicted to it. I like the difficulty too, but the different is that B&S is free. Currently, i dont see any difference between B&S and tera. Ok, tera is an mmorpg and thats all. All the stuff you do on battlefield are all AOE attack that make you kill mass of mobs and it seem too be way too easy. Female characters are not seriously enough. I mean, 1 of them is half dressed, an other got a short robe that give you the impression that you can see trought her. It kind of try to atract the porn crowd it seem just to make money.

Personally, i see tera as a console game and there are many up coming games that will look like tera, but free. Diablo is kind of like tera, but in diablo, you see your character from the top and its a target system.
