General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 4/07/07 2:12:06 AM
If spellborn lagged you like hell dont try vanguard cause that game is so huge and laggy lol. It is a good game, but man its really laggy. |

The gear is good, but if you dont have it already at level 60 I really would bother trying to raid. Anyways, most people wont be raiding at level 60 anymore.

For me WoW comes in spells. I feel like playing and I will play it for a few months and get really bored. Then once I have stopped playing I will start looking for another game which is WoW like lol. Wont find it and then will ultimatly come back to WoW. I need a new game big time!

I have to say this game is retarted. I played for about an hour. As I went around exploring the land I saw almost everyone having sex, and a bunch of people trying to get laid. Honestly, I think this game is just a bunch of horney people who have no chance of getting laid.

I guess you could say it was the smartest thing they ever did. Except once they made candy land the game went under... so really I dunno

Well they are presenting this new expansion as it would be a whole new game. UO is dieing and it has been dieing for a long time. This expansion wont change much and the same old people will be playing it. |

This game does look neat, but really what is the change going to be other than graphics? I honestly for one hope it becomes a lot better than before. I played UO back when I was a very young immature kid and my favorite thing to do was try to rip people off. Im sure a lot of people enjoyed that aspact of the game. But, the game really went down hill for me once trammel and felucca came out. I know for a lot of the PvErs it was one of the greatest things ever. But really think about it. Once that came out you have gotten rid of the rogues the PvPers, the thrill of never knowing what will happen that day. Also, I believe adding all the artifact weapons and armor ruined the game too. I loved the days of getting a weaponf rom the blacksmith shop and going out to try to kill people. For me the game was one of the most wonderful experiences I have had but with all the total changes it just stole all of what I enjoyed of the game away from me. With all the arties came all the elitest farmers and then the farmers. Just stole all the fun from the game.

Makes me wonder really how much different this game is going to be once it comes out. Can you really change UO into a whole new game and keep all the old content? Think about it.

Most of my UO experience is solo because grouping just isnt that good on UO.

The quest are generally the same, but I am enjoying them. There are new kinds of quest which because of the old grind quest make them more fun.

Honestly this question is pointless. Just play at your own pace. Of course your going to have people who get level 70 way before anyone else and that is they have a lot of free time. For people who work and have a family and friends play time doesnt come as often. But that is why WoW is awesome. There is no need for rushing because there are so many diverse players playing this game. There will always be friends with your pace and there will always be things for you to do. Which is nice and relaxing. So, dont worry about your pace and how slow or fast your leveling. There is no competition in MMORPGS except pvp lol. So, just enjoy what you do and take your time. that is what I think anyways

I find that playing an RP server is no different than playing a normal. I have played on Scarlet Crusade which is RP and Staghlem which is normal. I have a 66 rogue on the RP and a 60 Shaman on the normal. In my expereince once you are the max level everyone is in the same zone. Really there is no RPing once you are grinding/raiding for your armor. Its all about finding a group of people you enjoy being with and you hang out. Infact, the last time that I even remember seeing anything remotly RP on my server was around level 30. RP is acting and most people just want to quest and level. So, it is really just finding a group of people you enjoy playing with and hanging out. Just like you would do on any other server. Hoped I gave alitle insight on what you wanted to know.

WoW does not need anymore classes. The problem I forsee with adding classes to WoW is the EQ affect. See, EQ has a bunch of cool classes and they are fun to play. The problem is, having this many classes will make it harder for certain classes to get into groups. For example if your champion class you talked about although it is neat but why would you want a hybrid class when you could get a full tank? Anyways, if you play BC you would realize they now have 3 tanking classes. Why would you want a hybrid? What would happen is that a Champion class would be left out of groups and have to solo most things. Sure, you would find groups here and there but would be easily replaced by a warrior, druid, or paladin. Personally I enjoy what wow did with their classes. I love how you can spec a character to your style of playing but yet still be good at what the main idea of the class was amde for. To me you cant beat it. In EQ2 I could be a beserker or guardian. On EQ2 you are stuck with your desicion from a low level which really sucks. I love how WoW has done it to where you can change your mind no matter what. Ok, back to my point. Adding of new classes would be pointless and more work. In all honesty would bring wow down more people crying we need more Champion abilities!! So why add to something that really doesnt need any fixing?

player controlled crewmembers
General Discussion « Pirates of the Burning Sea 1/24/07 10:27:27 PM
Well you cant say it any better than that. If you have 6 real life people you should have the advantage. That is why its an mmo. Use RL people pay them wages whatever, but seems to me it would bring a more difficult state to the game and it wont be a grab your ship and pillage. You would have real people to anwser to if you suck.

I remember playing ddo when they made beta public to everyone. I quit playing the game during the 10 days of beta. The graphics were horrible and the content was bad. The classes were pointless and boring. No character depth. On the other hand being a huge fan of LoTR I hope they do make this a good game. I will be one to try it once it comes out and I can only hope that I can stick with it.

General Discussion « World of Warcraft 10/18/06 12:16:10 AM
Honestly I like to play one MMO at a time because I like to concentrate on one game. But I have been playing WoW for over a year now so I have started playing UO again and started play CoH.
