I think it is funny that you think blizzard loves rogues so much. Vanish has been screwed up for so long and when the night elf druids have a little problem they Hot Fix it and still let their so called favorite class stay broken. This is what I think. I bet you sucked at the game first of all and second you just were a annoying anti-social person and that is the reason why you never could raid or have friends. I bet your one of those people who expect someone to whisper you saying hey you want to come raid tonight with us? Oh well, every mmo has to have people bitch about something. I just believe the reasons you posted for leaving are bogus. |

Lotro a great mmo with great potential but will never be a WoW killer.
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 8/13/07 11:43:30 AM
It makes me laugh a lot with how many people compare everything to world of warcraft. In all honesty everyone who talks bad about wow has in the past played it for a long time. If they havnt played it for a long time, they were prolly anti social retards who could not make any friends and could not do anything fun in wow. The problem is with people, they all want to tear down wow for no good reason. WoW is a good online game, and it will always have people playing it. Sure, one day it wont be on the top but that doesnt mean it has been "Killed". I just dont understand why everyone wants to see it die. For me, I hope it stays on the top untill a better game really does come and tear it down. Because of WoW many people are going to be developing new ideas and types of games for us to play! Big money is what MMOs are offering to companies and many people are finnaly seeing that because of WoW. I just think the person who made this tab is a moron because why compare it to WoW? What does it accomplish? LOTRO is a good game, and I am currently playing it right now. Does that mean since I am playing this game I want it to kill WoW? Not really. 90% of the WoW community talk like this, "I just pawned that noob fag in his FACE!". They are always fighting and bickering about how their character is better. Do you really want that type of person in LOTRO? So far all I have noticed in LOTRO are nice people. I am sure I will encounter people who are annoying and remind me of most the people on world of warcraft, but that is expected. The thing is, everyone needs to look at the good things WoW has brought us instead of how you want to kill it. I hope in the future there is a better game than WoW, and I really hope to be playing it. But untill then, I will just be bored playing other new mmos coming out and prolly end up back playing WoW again. |

I am curious of how many people here bought GH rock the 80's and thought it sucked. To me I felt ripped off because of how much it cost and how much they really did not do to the game. The songs they had were alright and I have really no problem with them. My problem is with no creativity. They had no accessories to buy from the store, no bonus tracks, no outfits. Also, when you complete a level of difficulty they offer no bran new guitars. They also added no new stages, and even a lot of the comments they had off GH2 were the same. To me they could of atleast added new content to this game. I dont know how the rest of you will feel, but I feel this game should of only costed $29.99 instead of $50.00. So, if anyone else has an opinion I would love to hear it. Thanks. |

Is it even possible to have that much detail in a game? Could you make a game that is so immersive that when you are building a house you are building it brick by brick? You have to think with some reality here. To have a game to were I can play as a human and my needs are to build a home and to become friends with so many people and make a life with this group of people. While at the same time another player is playing as a brown bear in the woods and in his own little world. It sounds good sure, but it is impossible to actually make. Think about what you are actually saying here. On paper it sounds like it would be so refreshing and exciting to play in but you can honestly really do so much. MMOs are the worst games ever made. MMOs are made to keep people busy and to feel that they are working towards something. For example, most mmos offer really long drawn out story lines involving quest. Or, you fight (grind) to build reputation towards a certain group for items ect. That is what people want because they for the most part dont have to be unique and can be apart of a crowd and feel good about what they have done. For example, say you raided a dungeon for weeks and you finish your set. People will envy your character and for most MMO players that is all they want. They want to look cool in a virtual world where people wish or already do look like their character. The game you are describing to me sounds like Ultima Online when it first came out. Even though you couldnt play as a bear or an orc it was basically a person ran game. There were no quest, there were only way to increase your characters skills and what you had to offer to the community. As time went on and MMOs changed soon UO went down the path, and that is what killed the game. But what I am just trying to say is that your idea is awesome, and there is no one who could say they wouldnt find themself immersed in your world. The only problem is, it just wont happen. There is no way to get it started. With MMOs you have to guide people, and you have to tell them where to go, how to fight, and what to do. I know it is sad, but that is what most of our gaming world is. So, I do wish you good luck on your game, and if you ever do get it out I can tell you right now I will join the ranks of your game and have a good time. |

I loved voyager and honestly I dont see how you really could not like it. It is really the only series in which everyone has a purpose. TNG was so gawd awful it makes me fall asleep everytime I watch it. So I really hope they dont shove TNG crap in my face or I will be quitting soon |

Might try UO, looking for opinions
Britannia Tavern (General) « Ultima Online 7/18/07 2:33:57 AM
Im not going to lie to you. UO is a game that was once good and now has gone to hell. Starting a new account right now, and never playing the game is not a good idea. The economy in UO is terrible, and you have to be totally decked out with arti's to stand a chance at any sorta of pvp. If you are not into PvP then the gear truly doesnt matter. My main problem with UO is that you have to have millions of gold to do anything. You honestly can not do much if you dont have a ton of cash. So, if I were you I would try to stay away from the EA version if you can. Take the advice from earlier, go to a player made server. Also with the Kingdom Reborn Client, I wouldnt even bother with it. I was looking so forward to using it and downloaded the client and it was jusr horrible. |

Purchased EQ2 today and leaving World of Warcraft.....
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 7/18/07 2:18:21 AM
EQ2 was a very fun game, even from the start for me. I havn't played it much recently, but I found it to be great. My favorite part is just how many quest there are. I loved trying to build up the amount of quest I have completed. It seriously is a game you should look at and get. Reading all these post is making me think of going back myself now. |

World of Warcraft: Picking the right class.
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 7/18/07 1:07:33 AM
Yep, it is how you play the character. If you want to be a class that can do some really nice dmg, or be able to heal really good I would stay with the priest. Shadow priest can do some insane damage as long as they are geared correctly. They can also heal good, as long as they have good gear. |

My relationship with WoW is like my relationship with my girlfriend
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 7/15/07 12:35:49 PM
Im pretty sure that is how most people feel about world of warcraft. You want to play a new game, but you want it to be a better WoW. So, I know how you feel it sucks. I honestly cant wait to quit WoW myself for a better WoW |

Alot of people are sick of WoW and most people play it to just have something to do. honestly there isnt many good mmos out right now and WoW is the best. So once War comes out it is going to be something a lot of WoW fans can relate to. I myself am bored to tears with WoW and cant wait for WAR to come. So I assume most of WoW will leave and atleast try WAR, but for WoW to die I doubt it. |

I have never played EQ and I am curious. Can someone who never played the game come into the game and have a good experience? Or would it really be a waste of time? |
