So the shops in Aion cause crazy lag in the cities on top of taking a postion in the server for someone not even playing. Shops didn't cause the ques however. Excessive amounts of people trying to log in at once did. Shops only compounded this problem because many people were not logging out. Anyone that plays MMOs should know that everyone palyer can not be on at once. This was the essential problem with the ques. I fault NCsoft for the Pre-select and the Sunday launch. Two critical mistakes that lead to rediculous wait times. So the problem is not really the servers but how much they could hold without crashing. Finally, Ncsoft has keep the players in the loop via the website and forums. They explained the issues and have work arounds for those issue. Looks like they care to me. Maybe you should take a second look before making silly remarks. How is that a silly remark. Majority of bazaars that were set up in FFXI were there 24/7. THe added bonus to the bazaar was you could roam around too. Honestly a 30 minute shop time sounds dumb to me. That doesn't really give alot of time for people to really look at those items being sold. Really the problem is that NCsoft wasn't ready for the popularity of a Korean MMO, since if you look at any other one that was released. |
