A bash from another 12 year old kid.

If you are far from Europe, better play at US servers.  The ping time there is much much better.

I'm from the Southeast Asia, i first played at EU server and i felt the lag, but then i switched to the US servers and everything went smooth.

Where did you download the installer? It is zipped, about 3.7 GB.

If you downloaded only 1.2 GB then you downloaded only a split part. Some sites split it into parts: like installer.zip.1, installer.zip.2, ...

If you see more parts listed you need to download all and extract one in the same folder.

If you downloaded a whole file, size is 3.7GB then just extract it and you can find the exe to install the game.

It puts in the best of WoW and GW.  I like it.

quests all fetch

ungodly grind after 20

no respectable pvp

dungeons are basicly square rooms connected to gether wth a circle of mobs in the center of each one.

horrible character creaton ( severely limedted looks)

bugged crafting ( it hardly even works half the time)

things left un translated

god i could go on and on

You're lying.

Even with unlimited monthly subscription i can't play 10 hours a day.  I mean, get a life. Look at WoW, someone died of playing 3 days straight (or is it 4 or 5 days?).

People die.

Let's just play WoW to get this over.

The term is misleading.  The schedule should not be termed as open beta because you need to pre-order to get a key.

I've read that Sept 17 will be the start of open beta. So this means it's a public open beta and not a private one?

Your perception is misleading you.  You assume that by "open beta" they meant open-to-the-general-public beta, and that is not the case at all.

If you preorder, you can get into the open beta.  The beta is open to those who preorder -- and since ANYONE CAN preorder -- if they want to -- by definition, it becomes an open beta.

If you don't want to preorder, that is your decision, but you COULD preorder if you choose to, making the beta OPEN to you.  Your choice, your decision.

Now -- go away.

It is you who are clouded. Open beta is commonly used to refer to a public access. It should be called early access beta because it's a beta with a catch.

Now i used "commonly" which doesn't mean the ultimate meaning.

Stop posting in this thread and go play WAR since you already have access.

For Pete's sake!  Those kiddies are everywhere.

Too much instancing, this is what i hate.

To me this is the only mmo comming that has a chance to become a top mmo.If this fails their is nothing else to look up to.

The question is when does an mmo become the top in the line?  There's WoW which has most 10 million active subscribers as Blizzard claims, but to others it's not the top mmo.  Maybe it was at the top last 2005, but i'm not sure about now.

If you can't find a top mmo right now then wait for something new.

Can i pre-order even if i'm not from the countries listed in the official site?

if you're expecting cavemen, gandalf tunics and tarzan armors, this isn't that game.

lol

How about $15 for 120 hours, or maybe 100 hours.

And oh, 2 months expiry is 60 days only.  The problem is that not all players can invest all the time in their life playing.

Only thing I don't like about monthly fee's is the feeling of "must play" to get your money's worth.

Have 2 options for casual and hardcore gamers.  hardcore is the regular $15/month.  casual would be something like $15/ 60 hours (rough estimate).  A lot of people only play a couple hours a week.  it's hardly fair for them to be paying the same price as someone who's playing 14 hours a day.

I wish companies would think about that serious problem of addiction that comes with monthly fee's.

I agree.  I am a casual gamer.  I play only 1-2 hours a day because i have work.  Sometimes i don't play at all because i'm tired at the end of the day.  That $15 is not worth it for me.

I wish NCSoft will come up with a different payment scheme aside from the standard monthly fee.  I'm ok with prepaid.  For example, $15 for 240 hours (equivalent to 10 days) would be fine.  It's an hourly consumption so if i don't play then the time is not wasted.  And the credit would be valid for 2 months, after which it expires.

I'm just wondering, it's been years and no one has implemented a different scheme like this.  This will attract many casual players.

will it be free

AION ftw

please don't spread incorrect information. you will have to pay a monthly fee.

Gameloading, please stop spreading incorrect information. The game is 100% FREE, but monthly donations is required.

So, make sure to buy the CD!

Stop trolling this thread.

For the others, according to NCsoft, at $14.99/month flat fee but this may be subject to change.

So there, wait for the final announcement.

Prolly WoW 2, and kiddies who can't have enough of WoW will finally get a refresh of the old tiring game.

9.3 million? Oh COME ON.

Ok for those of you who didn't know yet, PW is already live since 1.5 months ago.  But this is in the Philippines server.  The downside is foreign IPs are blocked.

I got hooked in crafting since the materials needed are already in the Item Mall for a price of course.

The game is quest driven and doing quest gives the most experience.  Grinding will not take you far -- you need to do quest.

Character customization is also cool.  It has plenty of options.
