If you are far from Europe, better play at US servers. The ping time there is much much better. I'm from the Southeast Asia, i first played at EU server and i felt the lag, but then i switched to the US servers and everything went smooth. |

Anyone else having trouble getting client?
General Discussion « Runes of Magic 12/17/08 1:51:39 AM
Where did you download the installer? It is zipped, about 3.7 GB. If you downloaded only 1.2 GB then you downloaded only a split part. Some sites split it into parts: like installer.zip.1, installer.zip.2, ... If you see more parts listed you need to download all and extract one in the same folder. If you downloaded a whole file, size is 3.7GB then just extract it and you can find the exe to install the game.

WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE TO PLAY? 300 HRS limit in a month? come on
General Discussion « Aion 11/30/08 4:50:39 AM
Even with unlimited monthly subscription i can't play 10 hours a day. I mean, get a life. Look at WoW, someone died of playing 3 days straight (or is it 4 or 5 days?). People die. |

Let's just play WoW to get this over. |

The beta is open to those who preorder -- and since ANYONE CAN preorder -- if they want to -- by definition, it becomes an open beta. If you don't want to preorder, that is your decision, but you COULD preorder if you choose to, making the beta OPEN to you. Your choice, your decision. Now -- go away.
It is you who are clouded. Open beta is commonly used to refer to a public access. It should be called early access beta because it's a beta with a catch. Now i used "commonly" which doesn't mean the ultimate meaning. Stop posting in this thread and go play WAR since you already have access. |

The term is misleading. The schedule should not be termed as open beta because you need to pre-order to get a key. I've read that Sept 17 will be the start of open beta. So this means it's a public open beta and not a private one? |

Can i pre-order even if i'm not from the countries listed in the official site? |

How about $15 for 120 hours, or maybe 100 hours. And oh, 2 months expiry is 60 days only. The problem is that not all players can invest all the time in their life playing. |

I wish NCSoft will come up with a different payment scheme aside from the standard monthly fee. I'm ok with prepaid. For example, $15 for 240 hours (equivalent to 10 days) would be fine. It's an hourly consumption so if i don't play then the time is not wasted. And the credit would be valid for 2 months, after which it expires. I'm just wondering, it's been years and no one has implemented a different scheme like this. This will attract many casual players. |

Ok for those of you who didn't know yet, PW is already live since 1.5 months ago. But this is in the Philippines server. The downside is foreign IPs are blocked. I got hooked in crafting since the materials needed are already in the Item Mall for a price of course. The game is quest driven and doing quest gives the most experience. Grinding will not take you far -- you need to do quest. Character customization is also cool. It has plenty of options.
