Well i also just preordered it. i think i had a mail somewhere about registrering if i wanted 3 day earlier acces which i dident. So maybe your right about it.

Anyhow just seems stupid you can't register it now. Anyhow if more people than me (which it seems) has the same problem. its simply just because its not ment to be activated that way.

No one have replied saying they had no problems doing it.

I will problaly wake earlier tommorrow and see if i can login so i dont have to wonder all day long on work if i get to play this game after. because i pre ordered this Shit at Xmas and been waiting alot. So it would bug me alot if i couldent get to play ;D

Yea but i have a hard time understanding what they meen with the big box "Early acces" thing in the account overview where it wants you to put in a Retail Key.

It says something like. You have to put it in to upgrade your account to full account. And if you dident have early acces you have to put it in to reactivate it.

But when you put in the activation code it says it isent valid and to try again..

Makes no sence. Especially that you can't create a new subscribtion because it wants the key...

I have contacted the support department via email a few hours ago. Waiting for a reply. But so far it seems like it doesent accept the cd key properly. It might be because its inactive or something. But i see someone replied saying the had the same problem.

But i find it weird its so misleading how it sets up when you do it today. Atleast i hope they haven't screwed things up so i can't get in tommorrow.

The problem resides in the fact that many people expect to win big from the start and they get very dissapointed when they don't and through in more money and in the end they just spent lot more than in a subscribing game. But this has nothing to do with the game being bad or good but with the people being greedy.

So try the game but don't expect to make a living out of it but just paying for some entertainment.

Its mindark adverticing the game as "make money playing a game". "A teen paid his school session bla bla bla. playing our game!!!". "Neverdie dont work anymore. makes a living out of Entropia"

All this Bullshit adverticing attracts greedy people. and sure they are made to belive they will make money. Thats what the developer advertices with

Honestly. Its hard to do. and if you wanna do it it takes alot of time and its borin.

Of course you might be lucky and loot the uber stuff / hit an ATH and cash out alot of money. But the odds aint much better than winning the lotto.

All the players try and convince people to start playing Entropia universe with the goal of having fun. And playing for the less money / month as possible. Being "smart".

While the company does the exact oppesite. It tries to hype money greedy investors / or non investors. into the game. By not advertivcing with the game's features and funny parts. But with the money part / economy part. Of course they do mention "you can be anything you want. Create your own destiny"  and stuff like that. But it focus alot on the money part. Which is a shame

I see from the ratings and various comments in the forums. That people are in the belive Entropia Universe is running on Cryteks Cryengine2.

Let me clear this up.

The game is currently. NOT. Running on Cryengine 2. Or anything related to it. I forgot the current names Engine. But its a whole different one.

The avatar update is not ran by Cryteks engine either. Its run by the old one atm. The terrain has not improved much since it gone gold in 2003.

So dont expect Crysis graphics.

Cryteks Cryengine 2. is bought. And currently they are implementing and changing everything. And when we hit 2008 Middle/late. They will then implant everything at once.

They said they will at some point release some preview movies of how good the graphics are going to be.

There is not one single thing from Cryengine 2 in the game atm. Not even the avatars graphics is run by Cryteks engine.

Being one of the many Veterans in EU. Starting in the year 2003. And still being here. I might as well explain about this game. I think i got the far better experience than the "tried it. Dident like it" opinions..

Start off with saying. Im not a fanboy of this game. So that i will say something as if it was greater than it is will not happen. Its based on facts.

First thing people ask is, "Does the Economy work?:"

Yes & No. It works. But the old items. And the old "EU" (original PE). Gone out of control. Atleast with the items worth having. Simply. The demand and supply got way out of control. The demand was huge. and the supply low. Thus incrasing prices drasticly over a shorter period. Making the items worth alot. (even the "High" stuff. Not the very high end. Or the uber stuff). Today mindark. Kinda put their bet on "L" items. (L being Limited). Which obviously. Can't raise in price drasticly. As it would make them not worthy to use. Simply. This is the solution. As suddenly dropping tons of the old items would only temporary decrease prices in EU. otherwise it would have to keep dropping tons to the day its enough of everyting to everyone. making the game very boring and failed. + the fact it would piss of those who invested their money in these items (ranging often from 500-1500 USD for a "high" gun, Being guns cost under 1 dollar. and a decent low/medium gun. being a 10-20$)

"Can i trust the developers. That i get my money back?"

Yea you basicly can. Out from the fact i havent. Or anyone have yet heard or seen any complaining of not had their money yet. and there have been lot of withdrawels. i had one myself. and it came as it should. So yes. its not a scam.

"Is the game worth it. The time and effort needed?."

Yes EU is a very time consuming game. Anyhow you will. compared to other games. Feel the time was used with a better purpose. Than in other mmorpgs usually. During to the special economy. The game is not worth the effort. If your going into it for the only purpose of creating money. and take them out. 90% of those who try will be hugely disapointed with the hard diffeculty to make anything worthwhile out of it.

Yes & No. Its up to you. Going for easy & fast fun. money goes easy & fast too. It kinda follows. Atleast in the start. Where your avatar will be very inefficient because of lacking skills. Simply. You can have huge fun. But only if your thinking twice about how you do it :). Thats a challenge!. And the loots can be good & bad from day to day variating between the both. But it seems area controlled. so learn where to go. and it usually will be quite ok.

No. Its not Cryengine2 . YET!. The avatars had an graphical upgrade. As a part of the implemention of Cryteks Cryengine2. Which will implemented 2008. Problaly middle of the year.

Basicly. EU is hard. Play smart. Think twice. and aim for fun. Thats the way you get succes in EU. and problaly a bit cash out of it in the end.

Going into EU, Money hungry. Looking for a one night stand with money bonus. Well. basicly will be the hugest "i had better" experience in your whole life. Simply.

Eu is different. In many aspects. Yet unique. Approchaing it with realistic prejudices. And a good motivation to not focus on the money part. its going to be a blast. So try it.

Eu is not perfect. Thats for sure. And WOW and such games are more polished and mainstream. Your looking for something different. and more community focused. + Manuel combat?. Well Eu might be the right place for you :) Enjoy!

You really expected you could try Being High end just like that? without any effort.

If you dident try it. You dident try hard enough. Only the things that is priced high you can't try...

as for not understanding everything about the interface that is kinda my fault as I never read anything about it.. as soon as it was expalined the interface is fine.. and very easy to use.

This is defnitly a game very haunted by its past.

Its the only game out there. with Real cash thats auctually feeling like real. and its the only game out there. With some real FPS hunting.

Sure graphics are dated. But they just purchased Crysis Cryengine 2. And will update the graphics in 1 year with that one.

One thing is true. You will lose TONS OF Cash if not you play smart. If not you wanna lose. Simply dont play like a smartass.

Play low. Play safe. Play high. play risk. Thats how it is. If you can't handle it. your going to end up like the Haters on this forum. Who aint got the brain to figure that out

If this game really was the big scam people say it is. It wouldent been as popular as it is nowadays. thats simple logic.

It doesent cost any money to Travel from town to town through teleporters. It cost money to use a teleportchip to teleport to a certain Cordinate. and it cost money to travel to space. But its players that gain these moneys. Not the developers.

You need to fly by a spaceship to get to space. and people own and build up spaceships in hangars ingame. They go for quite some money. So sure they want some cash in return for the investment.

I'll say. if your at all interrested in the princips of this game. Dont read your way to if you want to try it or not. Simply download it. and try it. It aint very buggish to play. It has bugs. But not ones that makes the game sloppy in anyway.

Well the best "idea" of a great combat system to me would really be like in Elder scrolls Oblivion..

This meens "a hit is a hit". and no "time" on the attacks...

DnD online says "real time combat" on the back of the box which meens there should not be any time based system?, real time combat meens you hit with you hit, and you can slash as many times as you want.. but as you said there isa recovery time on the actions, and therefore still limits it. But if your good at clicking the fastest. and rolling around will that make a huge difference on win or lose at the end?

I really do not wish to spend 50$ to find a combat system which are auto oriented :)

i play Ryzom atm, and that is auto combat. and ZzzzZZzz. but it can survive it for now. untill someday there comes a mmorpg where you control all the moves urself. Not all this click and watch action :). i want to be the brutal fighter who slash the monsters feet's off, and strikes the neck at the final slash!. :)

i do like to try the trial. but as my internet connection is a sucky 512/256 one it takes forever to download that much ;-)..

It though wonders me why no one has yet said the combat system is good?. i been looking at ratings all over the internet, and none mention that it has a good combat system?...

i auctually though that most mmorpg gamers would LOVE some manuel combat?. am i wrong?

I have been looking at DnD online at the shops. and i can see on the back of the box, That it says "control every swing,move,block REAL TIME COMBAT!.

But does the combat work like in F. example Oblivion?.

I must admit that auto combat sickens me. I never experienxed something so enjoyment killing as autocombat.. i want to swing the sword when i want to, i want to block when i wish to.

Does the combat work/near the same as oblivion?
