  Tasos did proclaim that Darkfall would be out this year. He did proclaim Aventurine would not miss its release date this year. He did proclaim that Darkfall is complete and ready to release now, but oh wait he also proclaimed it will now release will be in January?

  But we already know the DF fans response. Anyone that points these things out is "afraid" of Darkfall <shrug> meh yeah I'm shaking in me boots . I figure now that Tasos has lied about  one set in stone date of release (DF 2008) theres no reason really to believe it will go live Jan 22nd either.

Maybe put back that champagne in the cooler until you know 1. They won't give a lame excuse for a delay like "due to beta testers suggestions bla bla bla .." and 2. That the game is all they promised..

 

I have no faith in Aventurine and if anything ever come from them it will be an empty shell of a game.. far from what they said it was..

No they have never done something like this, not even close.

They have never had this kind of media covereage, and never had a publisher like AVE in which they announced a joint announcement with a specific date.

This is a zillion times different than missing beta dates before.

yep Team Fortress 2 as well had a similar dev cycle where the devs scratched it and the sad forum trollscried vaporwaresz....

although it seems he majority of people feel that it is nothing like what dnl was prelaunch and will not follow the same fate.

as far as the above posters comment on long development time....that really makes no difference and also is subjective...read the interview
