It sounds too funny.  I can't believe it would be from developers of any significance.  Maybe just sad, lonely amateur developers or Brad McQuaid.

It's true.  I don't remember it mentioning anything about MMOs, let alone MMORPGs.  What ever it is, it will be STUPENDOUSLY huge.  He did say stupendously huge - not stupendously good, though.

World of Darkness, right?  Where did you see those dates?  That seems like an awfully long time.  (or maybe I'm just feeling my own mortality!  eek!)

Are all these guys AoC fanbois worried Darkfall will take there pvpers away?

will they do the same for fallen earth, earthrise and mortal online?

i dont get it.

It's a known fact that some of the vaportrolls are developers from other mmorpg titles, out to slander the competition and scare off potential players.

That made me actually laugh!  Conspiracy theory, much?

Sorry if you were actually being serious.

It reads "darkness is soon", like someone posted.  Wouldn't it more likely be something like that World of Darkness MMO than Darkfall?  Or has that been canned or something.  I just don't see Darkfall being viable anymore.  Or, yeah, maybe D3, though that might be a stretch, too.

It's probably not even in alpha... Or just entered alpha.

I'm sure you're right.  Hehe.  I wasn't even sure I had the name right.  I looked it up, though, and there's not enough on it yet for it to be something "big".  WAR seems to be what people deem the most likely and it's been in closed beta for some time so maybe it's about to go open or something.

I played with some of the guilds mentioned in both UO and Shadowbane.  I share another board with Hades from LoD, and I like him though I don't remember his views on DF - probably the same as mine - vapour trails to follow)  Having said that, the OP sounds like a bit of a nutter.  (sorry, Meel, but you don't come off as being very credible here)  Of course, his profile reads that he's from Amsterdam so he COULD be posting from a smoking cafe with an internet connection.  If so, cheers mate - share!

I'll be curious to see where CoH goes with player generated content.  If it has no depth or is badly done, you might be right since there are two major superhero MMOs on the horizon, that I know of.  If it's good, maybe it'll breathe new life into the game.  I always seem to go back and play CoH every few months or so, but I don't stay interested for very long.

I don't play WoW anymore, but I don't think any of those games will beat their subscription numbers.  Not yet, anyway.  I'm beginning to think that the only one that can make a dent would be another Blizzard MMO.  If Darkfall were to release, which I'm not even slightly convinced it will, I don't think it'll come close.  WAR will probably do the best out of those games.  Of course, I'm just thinking US and Europe, not Asia.  I wonder if AoC will end up losing a significant number of their existing subs when WAR launches.  Just a wandering though, not a prediction!  Totally based on idle forum reading.

Was it one of those wee tiny liquour bottles?  For some reason that mental image makes me giggle.  I get nervous when I fly.  I'd probably have hit them with my carry on, likely until they stopped breathing.

Aww, I'm sorry, Vendayn.  I hope things go well for her.  You never know.

I have known all my grandparents and two of my great-grandparents.  My great-grandfather lived to be 99.  They're all gone now, but it was good to know them.

If you don't want that little jig to give you a massive heart attack, see the OP for tips!  Other than that, who gives a toss what the bloody yanks or anyone else uses?  Most Aussie men I know have trouble counting past 2 if there are nipples in the room!

I gave it a look but it's not my sort of game, either.  I don't like PnC control much anymore, although I've played so many of them in the past that I can adjust pretty quickly.  I have a friend, however, who really likes this sort of game and was very interested in the government system.  Unfortunately, we were both sort of turned off by the cash shop.  I very much dislike that trend in games.  Having said that, they do state that everything you can buy can also be found in game through normal playing, though nothing was said about how rare they might be.

I had concussion a couple of times and I was dizzy and nauseated for a few days or so.   I'm pretty sure I remember the symptoms lasting much less than a week.  I even worked a couple days after. The worst concussion I had came from something that didn't even seem to hit me all that hard, too, although it did knock me out.  I did go to the my GP both times but he really didn't say much except I had a concussion.  You never know, though, the one time I DON'T go, it'll probably all go horribly wrong.  Better safe than sorry, I guess.   Unless of course, you are completely sure that there is absolutely nothing in there you want to keep - then don't bother!

It's actually sort of true.  A bunch of studios have passed on it this year, and, AGAIN, people in the industry and saying this should be the last year.  Activision, Vivendi, Crave Entertainment, LucasArt, ID and others have all left the ESA, which mostly leaves Microsoft, Disney studios and Nintendo.

This doesn't mean I'm agreeing that Darkfall is every being released.  I don't.  I stopped thinking that ages ago.

Maybe they gave them a months salary because they have an employment contract and that's what it states.  I wouldn't be surprised if the whole statement about paying their staff out of their own pocket was just a trite statement.  I worked for a company and the owners would say the same thing... everything was out of their back pocket.  It wasn't really, though.  Anyway, if they could afford to pay off all their employees with a month's salary, they were obviously taking home too much money for a game having significant problems.  I haven't seen a statement that they were filing bankruptcy, so I assume if they had a contract with their employees and didn't observe it, they'd be opening themselves up to lawsuits.

My two kitties keep my house pest free.  Even crickets.  Don't forget - it's bad luck to kill crickets.  (especially for the crickets!)

The Mythos servers will be shut down at the same time as the forum?  Maybe they're letting HGL severs stay up as long as possible to offset requests for refunds?  Not that it'll stop people from asking, I'm sure, especially founders.

Oops!  Hopefully, if someone does take over, they'll honour that.  And the founder subs, too.  My sub had about a week left on it.  I had played the beta and a month after it launched but canceled because all the undelivered features, bugs, etc. were too distracting.  I resubscribed last month and found it much better put together - nearly in a state to be launched!
