I gave it a look but it's not my sort of game, either. I don't like PnC control much anymore, although I've played so many of them in the past that I can adjust pretty quickly. I have a friend, however, who really likes this sort of game and was very interested in the government system. Unfortunately, we were both sort of turned off by the cash shop. I very much dislike that trend in games. Having said that, they do state that everything you can buy can also be found in game through normal playing, though nothing was said about how rare they might be. |

I had concussion a couple of times and I was dizzy and nauseated for a few days or so. I'm pretty sure I remember the symptoms lasting much less than a week. I even worked a couple days after. The worst concussion I had came from something that didn't even seem to hit me all that hard, too, although it did knock me out. I did go to the my GP both times but he really didn't say much except I had a concussion. You never know, though, the one time I DON'T go, it'll probably all go horribly wrong. Better safe than sorry, I guess. Unless of course, you are completely sure that there is absolutely nothing in there you want to keep - then don't bother! |

It's actually sort of true. A bunch of studios have passed on it this year, and, AGAIN, people in the industry and saying this should be the last year. Activision, Vivendi, Crave Entertainment, LucasArt, ID and others have all left the ESA, which mostly leaves Microsoft, Disney studios and Nintendo. This doesn't mean I'm agreeing that Darkfall is every being released. I don't. I stopped thinking that ages ago. |

Maybe they gave them a months salary because they have an employment contract and that's what it states. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole statement about paying their staff out of their own pocket was just a trite statement. I worked for a company and the owners would say the same thing... everything was out of their back pocket. It wasn't really, though. Anyway, if they could afford to pay off all their employees with a month's salary, they were obviously taking home too much money for a game having significant problems. I haven't seen a statement that they were filing bankruptcy, so I assume if they had a contract with their employees and didn't observe it, they'd be opening themselves up to lawsuits. |

The Mythos servers will be shut down at the same time as the forum? Maybe they're letting HGL severs stay up as long as possible to offset requests for refunds? Not that it'll stop people from asking, I'm sure, especially founders. |

I had played the beta and a month after it launched but canceled because all the undelivered features, bugs, etc. were too distracting. I resubscribed last month and found it much better put together - nearly in a state to be launched! |

Hopefully, it'll end up looking better than that trailer. The combat didn't look interesting, either. Personally, I want good gameplay but I want my game to look good, too. That didn't look good at all. |

It might still be alive on paper, but I don't think there's anyone left living in the building. I guess they might as well leave the servers running until their time runs out or the the electricity is turned off or something. Bit by bit, devs seem to be posting their good-byes in various places on the internet. Hopefully, if they really still do own their IP, someone clever will come along and snatch it up. |

I don't think Greece is the most expensive European country to live in. I think that particular pleasure belongs to Norway. It's more than 20% above the European average. I bet Greece isn't even in the top ten. |

Considering the state of some of the games released in the last year or so, I say they should be weaving baskets rather than making games at all. |

Well, that's just it. The SP game, which nearly never gets anything added to it despite what they said at the beginning, isn't really worth it. Without content being added, albeit very, very slowly, and all the things that still ail the game not being addressed anymore, it's not worth even the $20. The random maps are certainly not very different from each other to even think about them. Once you beat the game, which is relatively quick and easy, you'll never again have that feeling that says, "gee. I've never seen this before!". The only reason I subbed last month was for the new content and to see if the fixes they made and previously promised features were worth the price of a sub since I already owned the game. I have to say, it was getting there. Err... but now it probably won't.
I wonder if someone nice person will add all the new stuff to the live servers (wonder how long they'll last?) before they turn off the lights for the last time. What would be even better is if they put all the content and fixes made to date on the SP game. Then maybe some people who bought thegame won't feel so ripped off. I can't help thinking that most of the founders will always feel ripped off, though. |

FSS is denying that whole thing. Voodoo Extreme has updated their story with more info, including this:
He's the one who made the big rant a while back and then deleted it from his blog. I have to wonder about HanbitSoft, though. A couple of months ago they sold most of their companies assets because HGL was costing them so much. They're pretty small and, as far as I know, interested only in SEA Hellgate. Despite the announcement of 1M subscribers, HGL in Asia might be on shaky ground as well. |

They won't admit it, though, and Taylor Balbi completely denies being the source. In fact, he claims to have never spoken to Voodoo Extreme ever in his life. Tiggs is merrily trolling the official forum as if she couldn't give a toss. The subscription link has disappeared (official word is that it just broke and they (whoever is left, I guess - janitor?) are looking in to it, no eta though. I played beta and liked it and subbed for a month. I canceled because they didn't deliver. Luckily, because of the state of the game, I never even considered a founder's subscription. Last month I re-subscribed and I've been enjoying playing on the test server. It seemed almost to be where it should have been at launch. I probably would have played for a while after 2.0 went live. Of course, now I can't cancel. hehe. And my sub is about to run out... or not. We'll see! I wonder if this is the end for Mythos, too. It's a cute game. The Asian publishers seem to think they own their version, anyway, although FSS seems to disagree, but they've only mentioned SEA and not NA or EU in their plans to continue development. |

I fiddled a bit with the beta and although I enjoyed the humour, the game itself did get repetitive and rather tedious after a while. I think Mythos is much better at this sort of game. Unfortunately, unfortunately it's still in beta and I have no idea when it will launch. |
