The holiday special sounds like an appropriate comparison, something aimed strictly at the kids, and so cheesy even Lucas tries to forget about it.

No, I mean vets crying (what else is new) when someone does the same thing they do in reverse.

It's funny, I thought we were laughing.

Notice the changes I just made? Funnily enough, these are all things the "vets" have done in order to destroy SWG. But when the current playerbase decides to use your own tactics against you, it's no fun anymore.

Vets are getting pwned by their own tactics. I am so laughing at the bitter irony.

You mean it's worked for them, and people are flocking back in hordes to fill the servers ?

Anyway, a couple of weeks back, i did post a bunch of pictures of places like Restuss showing the sort of amount of people, it doesnt prove new players of course, but i have much more evidence than anyone like iwantmyswg can claim.

You mean... that thread where you showed us a couple of pics from Restuss and Eisley, with definitely average numbers, after being asked to show proof of population density *outside* those twos ?

Amusingly, each time the devs have "listened", was when a feature was deemed not satisfying, and removed...

Are you trying to tell us that a guy using a few neurons and some common sense has managed to do a better job at finding SWG flaws and thinking of ways to correct them than the SOE team in 4 years ? Unbelievable !

It's amusing that someone starts a thread about SOE's outrageous spin, and suddenly we get a new comer with no previous posts defending SOE, SWG, and following the party line to the letter...

... With a rusty spoon, please.

Keep the village as is.
Remove the Aurillia grind, and shorten the XP, so that Jedis aren't really longer to train than any normal profession...
Keep the FRS so as to make sure those Jedis are busy on some quiet, remote planets.

Any character that goes beyond padawan immediately loses its faction, and can't join one again until they've untrained padawan.

Problem solved.

Was it that hard ? That complex ? Nope.

Folks, we have a winner here...

Hmm... Only "one" ?

Ok, on the test center, when the Aurillia village was still in testing, I was the first person to "figure" the healing quest on the night it went online...

On Chimera, right after a down, I was the sole entertainer in Coronet Cantina. This was pre-CU, and after JTL... For 2 hours, I managed to mind buff *everyone* who came to the cantina, just on my own. Not only that, but I also managed to actually entertain the large majority of them a bit, even combat types. So much for people complaining that there weren't enough entertainers around... when a single one could buff all coronet for 2 hours.
Of course, all of that came to a halt  the minute those rotten sons of a cheap ***** buffbots logged in... But that was fun while it lasted.

Well, CCP is advertising "currently online" numbers real time on their public website...

Anyway, if people aren't interested in the OP's "rumors", I am.

Well, isn't seeing the NGE disaster first-hand punishment enough ?

I'll take a guess... 8.5 millions ?
Let's put it simply Mr Freeman, and use a nice iconic and starwarsy analogy.
As far as we're concerned, it's like you were a crewman on the deathstar when it blew up Alderaan. You might have disagreed with the move, you might have opposed it as much as possible, you might have left (or get fired) right after, but you were still on the thing when it blew up a lovely peaceful planet. That might not make you as guilty as Tarkin, or the guy that pushed the button... But you're not exactly clean either and no one here is going to forget that fact.

Because I spent almost six years working on SWG and it kills me that the only people who liked it, hate me.

Frequently for misinformed reasons.
Ironic, isn't it ?
The only true fans you had now hate you with a passion, and you can't even tell them why they're wrong... Man, I would sympathize with you, if I didn't hate you already, that is.

Wildcat84 might be a little blunt, or even zealous, but he does represent very well how most of us former fans think.

Tiggs is still fairly popular around here, despite not having been that competent, because she was fired during the NGE. Most assume she was fired because she went against the company line, maybe it's wrong, but people do admire that kind of courage.
Maybe you did speak against the NGE, maybe you did try your best to advert that disaster. Maybe some others did. But save for some mysterious departs we have no evidence of that.

The CU was a disaster on day 1, clearly rushed way too soon. And everyone who tested it before it went live could attest. And yet it went on live as is. Despite this, SWG survived, and was somewhat recovering when the NGE was announced. *Everyone*, and I do mean everyone who tried it, could see from miles away that this was both way more ambitious than the CU, and yet even more rushed.
To this day, we still don't know how this could have happened, how such a massive fuck-up can have occured, when all the lights were red ? So of course we're speculating, this  is the only thing we have, because those that know, don't tell. So we look at the results, and we try to infer how things must have been to  lead to such  a FUBAR.... and this isn't really putting you SOE guys in a favorable light.
No.
Well, this afternoon in the heart of Montréal, there were about 14 PS3s exposed in the Les Ailes EBGames. Ready to be sold. Waiting. With a sign outside saying "PS3 in stock here". And the shop was busy too.
Amusing, isn't it ?
Come on people, the guy has the guts to bath in blood before jumping in a hungry sharks pool, that's quite something !
Now, if he was saying something among the lines of "I'm sorry, I/We fucked up" -and I'm not talking about communication issues- I might even start to give him a little respect.
So, let's be polite and give him the chance to do so... We can always resume the bashing if (when) he fails to do so.

P.S : I'm curious though... Did he leave SOE of his own will, which might indicate some kind of actual intelligence on his part, or was he shown the door, which might indicate some kind of actual intelligence on SOE's part ?
