crafting is broken and worthless the ui is uncustomizable and static no character respec a game mechanic that invites kill-stealing, spawn-camping, and griefing loads of broken and bugged missions so many 'placeholders' for mission rewards that are functionally useless severely unbalanced weapons a barren skill tree, that would be better scrapped no true character respec ability all high level weapons and skills are either borken, missing, or unbalanced (some of which will only begin to be balanced today - you can guarantee further balancing well after this turkey goes live) They are still 'balancing' central game mechanics at a stage where they should just be concentrating on polishing and bug-fixing clan functionality is either MIA or still broken no end-game to speak of (unless you do what they want and re-roll and start over) only one mission chain throughout the entire game ridiculous immunities for some mobs so many holes in the maps in general that you will be using /stuck far more than you would like to I can go on for hours on the deficiencies, and I have done so on the beta boards, only to be ignored, and, ultimately, banned for speaking my mind |

I fully agree, just read the latest patch notes and a 'Miracle Patch(tm)' it most certainly isn't There are still major, glaring faults with the game, lots of issues with crap game mechanics that aren't going to be addressed, the skill tree is ridiculously barren, crafting a joke, so many broken and bugged missions, no character respec without either cloning (which eats a clone credit and only gives half a respec), clan functionality broken, the UI un-customizable, I could go on ad nauseum. it gets a 1 out of 10, it won't get my money, thouh I will take a look at it in 3-6 months when it really comes out of beta (at the moment they are asking full price for what is effectively an open beta product), and, by that time, probably hurting to subscribers so much, that it is free-to-play long story short, tabula rasa == tabula crappa, and is basically a gilded turd with dick garriot's name on it oh, and be careful when discussing how shite it is on the beta boards, they have started banning people for their opinions to the negative regarding TR, pretty soon all they'll have left are slavishly devoted fanbois and other culls who think the sun shines out of DG's ass voyd |

Tabula Rasa == Tabula Crappa It's being rushed out the door broken and the devs are expecting people are going to be willing to pay to support what will effectively be a prolonged open Beta it is not worth the oney they are asking, not for the box, not for the subscription. I strongly suggest everyone save their cash and wait for at least 3, perhaps 6 months, until they have added more content and actually gotten around to fixing and balancing the higher level skills (most of which still aren't in the game, and it's 3 weeks till launch). I actually expect that this will either die in 6 months like Auto Assault, or become free-to-play, like any other korean grinder personally i give it 1 out of 10, it's broken, and thedevs don't seem to give a damn about fixing the major flaws in the game. However, if you want to pay to play a shallow beta offering with more bugs and broken missions than you can shake a stick at, go for it. I'm just not enough of a fanboi to delude myself that such a gilded turd is worth either my time or my money voyd ps: if you do have access to the beta boards, best be careful how you phrase your negative comments regarding it, they appear to be banning people who don't think the sun shines out of garriot's ass and who think that TR is going to end up on the scrap heap |

what's your score on current version of TR ?
General Discussion « Tabula Rasa 9/25/07 10:08:51 AM
It's a gilded turd and I give it 1/10 at best it is an online third-person shooter with v.limited mmo capabilities and almost no roleplaying this close to launch and far too much content is either missing or still bugged, the crafting system is a joke, half the game mechanics show no sign of anything innovative, the skill tree is so barren as to be non-existant, and the devs seem to be more willing to have the vocal detractors on the beta boards banned rather than address the issues being raised. It's not going to be worth the money for the box, certainly not going to be worth the subscription fee, and will probably die or go free-to-play within 6 months. When I first gained access to the beta it was great, fast-paced, furious fun, but ever since then each patch has made it crappier and more broken. It is shallow, buggy, frustrating, and, once you have played for an hour, you know exactly what the rest of the game will hold for you, exactly the same running and gunning, just in different locations (that all pretty much loo the same) In short, save your cash and wait for something better than this dog's breakfast, the major flaws aren't going to be addressed before launch, if ever. It's just not worth the time or the money voyd
