the trial is as short as it is because in 3 days you can get all the way up to Mires if you push it

after that, you find the holes and limitations in the game

What went wrong? That's easy - they listened to the fanbois, and only the fanbois. If they'd actually listened to the people who were vocally pointing out the game's shortcomings and acted on them, then TR would be an incredibly better game.

TR was rolled out 6 months too soon, too empty, and with the devs only listening to the rabid fanbois instead of the people telling hem it was far too early. Of the promises that came down the line this time last year? only a select few have been delivered, and most have ben dropped as they no longer have the dev staff to do anything but fix bugs and f*ck with classes that don't need the love.

It's truly sad that a game so flush with potential, turned into such a lame duck

Face it, TR has failed to even get close t othe shadow of its full potential, the devs are clueless, garriot a space-cowby, and the game a hollow shell full of vapour and broken promises.

almost none of the promised features announced around this time last year have been delivered

sad, as this game had such potential, but the devs wasted it

perhaps by the time they release update 20 and actually deliver on all the vapour they promised last year - until then?

No, you'll ask yourself if it's the type of game you like. If playing a fast paced war game where the amount of hours you can devote do not determine how "far" you get, this is a great game.

If playing games like EVE or WoW, where you have to dedicate lots and lots of time to compete w/ those that can, it's not for you.

if you like pay-to-beta games that are unfinished, with no endgame, barren high-level maps, and an incredible amount of user churn that demand more money out of you than the game is actually worth? Then go for it.

If, however, you are looking for something a bit more substantial than a chinese take-away, look elsewhere - this is ultimately unsatsfying fare - only the true fanbois are left, the promises of the dev team from pre-beta are still vapour, and it will most likely go the way of auto-assault before its second birthday - if it makes it that long.

NCSoft got taken for a ride on this, it failed to deliver, has never realized its full potential, and given that the dev team has been gutted, never will

but, if you want to waste 15 bucks a month on this barely satisfying confection - go for it - I gaurantee you will regret it by the time you hit level 35

So its rly depends what kind of game you like. Not every game is for everyone.

Perhaps you might want to actually read the post and interpret it correctly?

The call for content isn't in regards to the announcements of upcoming additions, it is regarding the fact that, 8 months after launch, none of the major additions announced in beta have made it into the game, no additions of any substantive value have made it into the game, hell, most of the promised additions haven't even been started, let alone delivered.

yes, the combat rocks, but it's not enough

the devs have been promising shit since late beta and have consistently failed to deliver

the only thing they have done has been to rape the ranger line so often and so totally that it boggles the mind, all the while ignoring the other classes

I loved it in beta, hated it live, went back at xmas, lasted till my spy was half a level away from 39, then they raped him and I was left looking at grinding to 40 because I had run out of missions

that was it, that was enough, I cancelled then and haven't regretted it.

basically - the game had a shit-load of promise and, had they implemented it correctly, AND listened to the community, it would have been ground-breaking. Instead? It redefines meh and epic fail on a regular basis.

if it was a cheaper subscription, then it might still be worth it, but the box was overpriced, and the monthly fee is totally unjustified. 15 bucks a month for what is essentially a pay-to-play beta is a rip-off
