Well most of it was helpfull got me thinking about it more and i think i decided i'm going to try Aion for now mainly because i know a few people playing that and no one in FE... At somepoint i'll probably try FE unless SWtoR comes out before i get tired of Aion.

At the moment i've been playing  WoW some and been playing Champions online but kinda bored of it since i really enjoy being in groups but in CO i havn't noticed any real grouping chances just short little quests that may suggest some help to kill a guy...

was thinking Aion since i've heard it follows the base mmo type of game like WoW, LotR, WAR ect... so that makes me think it will have decent group play and yeah probably some blah quests and grinding but i'm fine with that if it leads to lots of group play that can be fun.

Fallen Earth i thought i would maybe like since i loved neocron2 along time ago before the population died out and the devs kinda stoped caring to fix bugs. but again i really like group play with that being the reason i play MMOs to being with. was kinda unsure about it tho thinking it could be to shooter focused rather than skill development and lacking the choice of being something like the PSI monks in neocron?

So would be nice if people post and i dont really care about the few word respones of people saying crap like AION sucks its just a grind or whatever about ether of them i would prefer it to be helpful thoughts about the games with what you like or dislike about the games as thought or if you've experianced them yourself

I'm somewhat watching Aion but i'm afraid its going to be another kinda blah mmo like WoW, and have been watching Champions online since i enjoyed city of Heroe/Villians just hated what the AEs did to the game.

I'm just tired of so many just being the same now, I like to group alot that is why i like playing games online. my main dislike in games are just grinding quests alone trying to lvl up to get to the endgame, yet I've played WoW alot with more than one max lvl i can't really say i enjoyed it tho just played it since my friends did and had quit and come back many times now i quit again.

I have allready played alot of the mmos out, ones that i've been told to try before were EVE but i dint like how combat was kinda like auto control and i've been told try FF11 alot and would think i would like it with the classes and group play, i ended up quiting after not long of playing because i could never find groups and it just felt like it took forever to get anything done.

today was going to try Warhammer online but couldnt even get the patcher to finish its update so quit on that one.

To date i've enjoyed playing EQ, CoH/V, Neocron 2, and GW (but have done like everything in it and got tired of just PvP) the most and would like to see if anyone has any ideas of what i may like

Its a good game buts its had issues for along time the devs kinda just stoped paying attention to it not fixing any bugs and for awhile now you havnt been able to make new accounts to the game so its just those that have had one for along time that can play.

It was a good game years ago when it dint have so many issues but at this point the game is just broken and sadly i highly doubt it will ever be fixed

From what i remember Roleplaying was the main aim of it with the FPS as a decent way of combat and yes it Does not really have a PvE way of gameplay. If you have no interest in roleplaying then i wouldn;t play this but if you like roleplaying of factions and politics with FPS combat than it is a good game. When i played i don't remember to much bossing around of people sure they will tell you to put your gun away if you have it out in a area ether ran by law or of a faction other than yours but thats why you dont run around with your gun out for no reason or in a area in control of a hostile faction and yeah theres allways going to be the morons that just try to kill whatever but most of the time or at least when i played the game before they were easy to avoid ether by being in a police area or going around with someone else of your faction...

I have not played it yet in its current state yet but from what i've read they have still kept the game the way it was ment to be with just some improvements. I'll probably at least give it another try when i get the chance.

When it released the first time it was just PvP from what i remember as far as combat, but what i remember most from the game was the roleplaying not just the combat.

That was back when it first was around i'm not really sure of what they have/are changing.

I would have to say try Face of Mankind when it gets going again, shouldn't be to much longer.

Before it had lots of roleplay since everything is done by the players as in the main factions are controled by people, items, law enforcement, training, every thing from the players.

It is a FPS style of game so its not just siting and pressing number keys over and over.

The factions had lots of PvP depending on what faction you picked with them fighting over differnt areas.

Only thing is i dont remember the areas being massive they seemed fine to me tho.

Things could be differnt with the re-release tho since they said they were reworking some things to try and make the game better but i dont remember reading anything saying to what was being changed.

SWG used to have good roleplay but i'm not sure if it still does since i havn't played the game since they did the massive change to it.

I tryed FF11 but i dont think i like it, the job system seems cool loved that sort of thing back in final fantasy tactics before they turned it to the crapy advanced game. If i got into i supose it would maybe like it but from what i played wasnt to interesting, and whenever i tryed to talk to someone no one would respond. All so i don't like the idea of needing to look for a group for a long period of time before doing something, probably wouldn't be bad if i knew people making it easier to find groups but i know no one that plays the game.

Tried EVE allso I think i could maybe like the game but i again i felt really lost and confused not really knowing what to do and i don't know anyone that plays the game to play with and i don't like flying around alone alot...

maybe i should just go back to CoH / V...

Yes  Face of Mankind is a nice game but it dosn't sound like something the person is looking for...

Final Fantasy you would maybe like.

theres other games with the style Ragnarok has but not sure of the names and don't think they are newer since the that style of game seems to be kinda dead and group based games seem to be going out to with mostly quest and easy solo aimed MMOs being made

Only one i can think of that does that is WoW

DDO and GW are two but you said you played them, EQ1 was lots of groups and going through places not really any quests if i remember right?

City of Heroes can be done entirly from groups but it can be a rush through of places depending on the group.

Final Fantasy is supose to be all about groups but not sure how tactical it is or much about it since i never played it much.

I would say City of Heroes since you can play the entire game through groups.

like said Final Fantasy is group aimed but its controls are a bit weird and its not easy to find groups alot of the time.

DDO but you said you played it to much and RF Online had grouping but last i checked they messed up the game

The lvl 20cap in guild wars works for it, the way i see it, it gets you into the game itself faster its not about uber duber numbers or grinding for lvls its about playing through the storys and the PvP that has so many options and ways you can do it...

I dont know if a mmo would be the best thing for something like what you want but if its what you want I would have to say try CoH / V.

It reletivly simply but if you dont pay attention you will die, you can play the game solo or in groups. Its not bad in any way other than maybe what some of the player say but that gos with any thing online. Theres not really any gear in the game just make your costume and modify as you go and want to and enhancements to improve your powers. Money in the game is just used for costume stuff and enhancements maybe guild stuff to but i havnt had one so not sure. So theres no real grinding for stuff just the grind of instances (if you call it a grind) for your missions which can get repetative at times but not as much as other MMOs in my opinion.

Only game i can think of is Neocron but that porbably isnt a option since the game has been going down hill for like the past 2 years or more. It never really got bug fixes after awhile and last i checked the account cant even be made so you can't play unless you still have a account. But it really seems like something you would maybe like since its first person casters can and should be moving while fighting and aiming. Only thing would maybe be the fact that aiming is more off and slower to recover the lower you skills with the weapons. But thats normal in things like this.

Face of Mankind would all so maybe be of interest but it fell apart awhile ago. Think they plan to re release it tho or something to that effect.

What i like about playing online is being in groups with people allmost all the time and with that brings me issues on what i want to play since so many games now seem to be solo grinds of killing or questing alone. I've all so played alot of online games making it harder for me to decide what i want.

What i have played:

WoW, CoX, Anarchy Online, Everquest1 and 2 but not much of it, RF Online, DnD Online, Vanguard, Auto Assault, Guild Wars, Hellgate: London, Tabula Rasa, Runescape, SWG before they broke it, LotR Online, UO, Face of Mankind, maybe a few more but i cant think of them right now.

Currently I'm playing S4 League and have been playing WoW for awhile but really i dont like it much just play it because i know people that do and now i want to quit again. Thinking about going back to CoX or maybe trying EVE but from what i've heard makes it hard to start so late into the game since so many people are so adavanced? Was allso planing on playing RF Online again but when i got it going i was disapointed with having to restart and having a super powered weapon to start with and constant spam of power levelers and gold selling.

I prefer games to be more on the sci fi side of things but ether works, I've enjoyed CoX the most i think and really liked Face of Mankind when i played it and liked RF Online (not really sure why since its mostly grinding on random critter and thing but i think it was because of the feel of being part of something with the faction battles and the grouping seemed to be often.)

Any thoughts or advice would be nice...

Not sure if it was said anywhere since i only read some of the pages not all of them but really

CoH / V should be under lots of PvE grouping, no you don't need to group but you can go from the start to max lvl only being in groups with people with little time of looking for groups partly because lower lvls can be taken under by a higher lvl as a sidekick or lacky for the group.

On a side note its allso faster to lvl in groups in CoH / V since you can take on alot more and harder things at a time.

I miss FoM... i wish they would bring it back or at least let players host a server or something...

I've played way to many online games and that was one of the very few that i found fun roleplay and it was scifi making it even better in my mind with fantasy games being everywhere. I hope another game like this letting the players control how alot of it works gets made...
