News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/24/08 3:02:48 PM
Every dungeon level is still a square. It just can't be more boring after doing a few levels. |

Star Trek Online: Ask Cryptic
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/23/08 7:26:38 PM
Ah but Cryptic is an experienced MMO producer and they have a very good game to boot in CoH. I don't think we need worry about how they do this game, now the prior batch of developers were a real clueless bunch and their products showed it. |

EVE Online: Correspondent - A Pirate's Life for Me

Originally posted by Zulsoraj Now that comment is amusing. There are plenty of pirates that prey on new players. New players are easy, just wardec the new corp and have fun. There are plenty of pirates that do just that. Some don't call them pirates, but it is a pvp game. There is no place that is safe in this game, if you depend on safe you should not play Eve. |

Blizzard should be smart and buy out and take over darkfall
General Discussion « Darkfall 9/22/08 6:07:07 PM
Personally, I think Darkfall has potential. Just that the avid fans are a bit over zealous at times and a bit naive. I don't think Blizzard would want anything to do with it. Just not their cup of tea. We might actually get to see what it actually is next year.

Age of Conan: Correspondent - Opinions on Customizati

"Conan has by far the best looking gear in any game yet" Huh, are we talking about the same game? Sure graphics are nice, but, best looking? Unless brown is your favorate color and you don't mind everything that shade, to say the equipment looks drab is an understatement in my book. |

Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: Mark Jacobs Blogs on Gold Farmers
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/22/08 5:45:22 PM
I rarely see gold spam in Wow, so easy to write a filter to remove it. I took one off the web and modified to suit my needs, it works great. As to War, I am glad that they are being proactive with this problem. It is annoying. |

EVE Online: System Population Limits Enforced
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/22/08 5:30:50 PM
Please explain why it is a bad idea? If you logged out in Jita you deserve to have problems logging in because you made a braindead decision to start with. I only go there when I can't get something else, elsewhere which is very rarely. Also, if you read the article, this fix is only temporary, they are working on another solution that will be permanent when they get it functioning properly. |

Age of Conan: Correspondent - Opinions on Customizati
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/21/08 10:36:01 AM
"For example, Guardians, who are allowed to wear heavy armor, cannot wear cloth" That pretty much summed up the ridiculous restrictions in AoC for me. Of course most of these theme park MMO's have similar problems. Any class should have the ability to wear cloth, how absurd. Even in Wow a warrior can wear cloth or leather items. I personally liked much better how UO handled it. A mage could wear plate if they wanted but they were left with almost no mana regen in so doing. Why are we still reviewing AoC, the game is pretty much history. By the end of the year they will be lucky to have a 100k player base. Another MMO that hit the genre with a huge thud.

Accomplishment - key factor in mmorpg's?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 9/21/08 10:22:20 AM
Of course accomplishment is important. Why do you think so many people complain about the cash shops in the f2p games, they demean any accomplishment when some can buy there way to success. |

What a bunch of nonsense. The vast majority of MMO players never even heard of Darkfall. You could at least post something that makes any kind of sense. |

Chronicles of Spellborn going H2H with Warcraft Expansion

That is only the European version, no word on the US version yet, nor any time table. |

"It's only been announced recently.." That is incorrect, it has not been officially announced yet. It has been accidentally leaked that Bioware is working on a Star Wars game. That is about all we know. We will have to wait for the official announcement until we can speculate further on what form the game will take. |

Finally, a game that supports Perma-death!
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 9/19/08 9:50:38 PM
Anyone who wants a perma death game is delusional. Net is not stable enough for such an animal. Any company who implements such will truely regret it, customer service will spend eons on petitions on deaths from disconnects, lagging, etc. So the dufuses over at Dofus will surely regret their decisions. |

Was Warhammer first, or Warcraft? Facts inside
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 9/19/08 9:46:10 PM

Next time, try posting all the pertinent facts instead just those that try to prove your illogical argument. |

Lord of the Rings Online: Rune-Keeper Screenshots
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/18/08 10:00:50 PM
Last time I looked this was a game. Getting upset because someone adds a new class to it is beyond ridiculous. Try sitting back and rereading your post and laugh along with the rest of us. It was pretty silly. |

Not a bad game, but it is most certainly not free to play. Consider the f2p portion more of an unending trial, if you really want to play the game you have to pay. Some of the f2p you can actually play for free, but not this one, it has far too many restrictions on the free play. I love how they include anyone that ever opened an account in their totals, whether they ever actually played the game or not. More likely they probably have 10-20k at best active players. |

Age of Conan: Breaking News: Godager Resigns
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/18/08 2:48:04 PM
Resigned? lol, sorry that word has another interpretation in business speak for executives, to us ordinary folk the word is FIRED! And rightly so! The problem with that is, it does not solve the connumdrum that the rest of the development staff is faced with, how to save this game with so many of his goofy ideas heavily embedded in the game. |

Age of Conan: Hyborian Insider: Content, DX 10, More!
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 9/15/08 7:57:21 AM
Too little too late. By the time the get this out, War and Wow's expansion pack will be up and running and AoC will be strictly an afterthought. Look for server merges after the first of the year because AoC will just be a small niche game after that. Too many bad initial design decicions to correct to ever resurrect this game. |

Why would anyone cite Second LIfe in this thread, the most boring nothing game on the planet, bar none. All that game is is a big chatbox period. The only people who actually play that silly game are the wanna be MMOers who are just too lazy to actually try a real game. |

Good news, the next generation MMORPG is soon to be released, it's a little too hardcore though!
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 9/14/08 9:42:01 AM
Excuse me, they have announced, for the THIRD time an imminent beta, again with NO date. Excuse me as I have a good chuckle at your expense. As to the end of 2008, beta better start next week if they intend to make that date. |
