And they found about the preorder numbers just 3 days ago? The point made is knowing or at least estimating the mumber of people per wave it was quite logical to make an estimated timeline of the dates they were letting in. But apparently they opted for covering their asses 100% the bare minimum amount of communication with their playerbase just proves that. |

General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/15/11 3:26:19 PM
So the big shots in bioware decided to close off the EA invites for today with just one week left. Like seriously? This entire "staggering"early access was a mess from the start making people wait like idiots on a possiblity of a invitation mail instead of making an estimatad schedule of the access dates. Leaving the smallest group out at the end of the day after all this wait is just not cool, not cool at all.
I really hope you get some seriously bad press for this. |

What's up with the lack of hype about DCUO?
General Discussion « DC Universe 1/21/11 10:01:30 AM
DCUO is quite a different experience from your standard MMO and not everybodys cup of tea because of that. I wasnt even going to try it out, seeing i am not that into superheroes, especially not the DC ones, but a friend litteraly twisted my arm into getting the game. She just wouldnt stop talking about how much fun she had in the beta so i said, heck it is just 50$, i spend more on a decent dinner out so let's give it a shot. And she was quite right- although i hate console style games- DCUO is just so damn fun. It is like a breath of fresh air i needed after realizing how horribly same-ish to all standard MMOs Rift was after one boring as heck beta weekend.
After 6 years in MMOs i needed a jolt from the staleness of the genre , and i guess DCUO was that for me. But i dont expect everybody to feel the same and go into a mass frenzy about it and start hyping it to heavens. Time will show just how good of a game DCUO is and first two weeks of hype or no hype wont change that much. |

The latest expansion is always bundled with all the previous ones- so just get Sentinel's Fate and you get TSO for free ;) |

I just hope that the bunch of clueless monkeys SoE has put in charge of their marketing for EQ2, will be demoted to flipping burgers at their local fast food joint after this "long live the USA, lets screw the rest of the world" fiasco. EQ2 is a great game, but sadly people running it are complete and utter idiots. Having a 50 page thread about it on the official forums and basically no communication for anyone responsible for this mess in over 8 weeks is proof enough of that.
Bah. |

I found DA:O to be the only thing that completely removed any desire to log into an MMO ever since i got it. No single player RPG (apart to some extent Mass Effect for the first couple of days) has managed to do so. So kudos to Bioware :D |

Errr... EQ2 has 24 different classes to chose from, not 13... even with the grayed out options for an evil character it is quite plain to see from the class select screen. I guess noob in case of this writer means he is really bad at counting? @,@
bah typo |

Eh? the population is perfectly fine on Splitpaw, but dont expect to see a lot of people running around the starting areas. If you are feeling lonely join the norrathtrade channel and listen in on all the chatter. |

|
Chek if you are running EQ2 as the administrator if you are using vista or win7 , usually those OS' can cause the client shutdown on launch if you dont give EQ2 the privileges it requires. |

bruisers are nowhere near the top of the dps list nowdays. Assasins are waaaaay up there, with rogues and rangers sharing the second plce of melee dps depending on skill/gear. |

codemasters continued to charge me a monthly sub inspite of cancelation .

The option to send tells from trial accounts was removed to prevent gold sellers to abuse those trials for advertising their gold selling services. |

Just ban the entire lot and fix the exploit. problem solved!

Had the same problem. I solved it by goung to my soundblaster control panel and reseting it to default- it would seem something in EaX settings will make NPC/PC voices too quiet to hear.

Ok, but where exactly does one download the client from?

Let's see: The game has all the baits to atract the under 15 crowd of horny leet teen geeks that are getting bullied at school and now want to vent. |

Yep, Moirae has been playing EQ2 since 1854.

Ahm... dont want to burst the bubble of turbine's super creativity, BUT... Anyway, both systems are incredibly fun, and i believe should be a part of any standard MMO- so i am glad LOTRO players got a chance to experience it. |
