Think Age of Conan is going to deal with a niche game base that is looking for the innovation  like brutal sword play and top of the line animations and world development. Don't think att his point they are going to compete with WoW becuae it would be like apple and oranges.

The fighing systems nd character creation is top of the line andwith someone like Funcom beyond the line you know they won't rush into something that they don't feel is going to give a gamer an exceptional game immersion.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.......some of us have been longing for a game that brought us back to the 'feel' of EQ with the benefits of modern mmo features. I don't think the game was targeting you, I think it was aiming at me, and for those like me, it's an awesome game.

LoL - If EQ1 was like VG then EQ1 most of been a cross between WoW and EQ2.

I amy start following spellbourne a little closer now that vantaurd has shown itself to me that it lacks the ability to deliver what they said they where,

I also think with what video is out of  Conan , it is going to be a huge success now and look forward to chopping head in real innovative setting .  AoC is going to be the biggest title with Warhammer and Spellbourne coming in even or slightly behind it.

I see Vangaurd not reaching it's gaol and with every passing minute of them saying next patch m, next patch people will be cancelling their account. Unless Vanguard can pull off a Over seas coo , it is going to be what any  game release at the beginning of the year , mediocre .

I would rather subscribe back into L2 , atleast the female models jiggle in all the right places :D

LOL, I got a "special" invitation to closed beta.  Evidently I was allowed to play, but not allowed to provide any useful feedback in the forums since I was denied access.  Seems I was an "industry" beta player and my input would not be needed.

And to correct myself, the line down your face/body seems to have been fixed, so at least they smoothed out "something" within the game, but i just logged in about 5 minutes ago and my newbie mount with +30 ground speed still only gives me a movement rate of 100.8%

I got kicked out because :

I petitions about  player camping the altar on the "ffa pvp server" That is what got me kicked out . Apparently the player camping and killing spawners and instulting me by calling me  a f!@#ing F@#g$T was in the right.  The GM pmed me said I was no longer needed.

This will be a title with blind followers. It will be pointless to spar with them :D

I have to agree with the previous poster.  I got into the beta 3 weeks or so ago and with some casual playing I knew that Vanguard was not for me.  I see massive potential in the game but I couldn't help but flinch at some of the animations and art direction.  I liked most of the character models and the graphics and lighting were superb, but the rest of my surroundings seemed a bit static to me.  The music and sound were also a big disapointment.  The sound effects sounded stale and some of the music sounded like soft-core porn soundtracks.  I'm not a pessimistic person but this game had me focusing on its problems more than I could its possitive aspects.  I'm sure its a great game but frankly it failed to pull me in.

I played for a little while until I was kicked out of the beta.

The graphics are great , but that is about it , same old crap with 0 innovation of any kind.

I watched the dev's in interviews go on on about how the game is a miles stone in mmo's but the  fact is , it falls short of anything innovative. 

I hope Age of conan delivers or i'm going to be playing rappelz for ever lol .

Anarchy online looks freaking awsome imho, it has a style that is timeless. Give it go . I did a paid account for a few months and it was alot of fun , alot of great gamers go their and just have fun with it.

Lineage 2 with out a doubt, shame all that great art design went to the bots and farmers :/

Vanguard is going to rank up there with little game play valuse as well as little content. From what i saw there is nothing new , the crafting and material gathering is exactly like alot of other mmos and there is no real feeling of accomplishing anything.

Vanguard , is total rehash with a graphical up grade

lineage 2 - bots bots bots / community / 0 gms online
every asian f2p  -grindcore with no lore
mmo's in general -  to many quests , to many grinding , to many carebears , to many pvpers , to many family guilds to many xxxx guilds rto this that blah blah blah,

i'm not geek on the keyboard like the website people , but it is standard stuff like cpu usage , memory usage. It is cool cause with dual core ity splits the usage bar into 2 . I like the macro functions cause you can create nacro's on the fly in game.

The keyboard macro feature doesnt work with game shield, so you have to create them before you boot any game with G/S
