I have been a member of the aoc forums for quite a long time and ive made 1 post. thats it. im not just gonna post on the forums hoping im really sukin them off so i can get a spot in the beta. and who are u to say that someone isnt really interested in aoc? If they take the time to enter that contest then i think they deserve the same chance as anyone else to get into beta. he said he isnt really interested in it, yet he checks the forums? that seems to be enough interest. I havent checked the aoc forums in about a month and I'm happy this guy was kind enough to post that link here, otherwise I might have missed it all together.

wh0 g1v3s a sh1t? act superior to someone who likes to talk sh1t in games or have fun. Even when they would probably own u.

anyways, I've been watching AoC for a little while now, and I do like the combat and style of the game, but I do agree that the trailers (atleast a few of them) are a letdown. The game has beautiful graphics z0mg!1 but that really isnt enough. So many games come out and have good graphics but gameplay is poop. Hopefully the videos they release as we get closer will have more in-depth group and actual gameplay. I've seen almost every video out now and I've seen maybe a total of 10 seconds of a class other than a human warrior ( or w/e its actual name is) and the spell animations werent at all impressive btw. I guess all I can do is wait and see how it turns out, but I wont be expecting too much this time, I've learned.

I look and look for a good mmo and nothing. I've played them all it seems, and they all suck.
I'm waiting for AoC and Aion, I hope one of them is good, if I dont go insane first.

Lets hope they open a server with looting player corpses, if not full looting, there better be some chance to drop items. Open pvp is the only pvp. MMO's have become too soft, AoC better change this  =)

So, let's get this straight, it won't be a WoW killer because you can't stand on your friends deck? Personally I'd rather have my friends helping to guard my cargo in their own ships, rather than sitting on my deck telling me how nice/cool/ugly/l33t my main sail is. It seems like such a novelty feature, I'd rather see time spent on something important.

Ofcourse have other player ships help defend etc, not saying take any of that away. Give the option to be in control of a cannon to other players that may be on the ship also.

not just being able to do those things but more along the lines of the ship being like a clan hall etc.  and players could board other players ships to take them over. im a big fan of pvp and open pvp, would just like to see more than ships just shooting at eachother til one falls. more interaction between players while pvping.  If someone that is on the ship has to go to another destination then they can with use of a smaller boat, or maybe a clan has more than 1 ship, maybe they have 3 or 4!  just saying there are more ways to be creative. also, in the videos I kept seeing loading screen after loading screen, maybe the vids lie but too many = poop. other than that the game looks amazing. I'm just tired of seeing games fall short of being great. This is a game afterall, lets not limit the players fun.

Something ive been wondering... Can u be a player on the ship and control a cannon/walk around the ship while another player controls it? If they have that I would def give it a shot. Anyone know?

Ive kept my eye on this game for a while now, seen vids, screenshots etc. I want to know from someone who's played it how it is? I'm a big fan of nice graphics but its hard to tell if this game has them from just vids and ss. Also, hows the leveling and pvp? Anything anyone could share would be great help

I played it in beta and got to lvl 20 something, dont remember exactly, but the game was ok. Ive played lots of mmo's and im glad it went free 2 play. If you're looking for a game thats free to play this is probably one of the better ones, if thats saying anything at all.
