Theres still people to play with. Most of the time when I log in the server says normal, and on war/siege days its always heavy.

I'm not sure what time you logged in. If you are in the US I would suggest Chronos server.

Find people to party with, add them to friendslist  /friendinvite

I'm sure lots of clans would pick someone up for academy.

I hope you know to do your newbie quests to 20, ez.

Westernization MAKES the game boring and nothing new to see. It basically takes a unique game and tries to make it as close to WOW as possible.

on another note, I've never understood people who make posts on forums claiming that everything is wow clone! Yet the masses flock to RIFT which seems to be more like wow than anything else ive played.

I had a beta key for this game for a long time and just dismissed it after watching a video. I was so bored that the last day of beta I decided to install it and give it a shot. The game surprised me. The fantasy elf and forest mmo's def have their place but this one is so different that I have decided to pre order it and play.

The first thing I noticed was the combat. Even though it has tab targeting, it was a lot of fun. Running through the city jumping off of buildings had me hooked. I am still waiting on TERA, but this game will satisfy me until it is released.

If you are on the fence about this game I would say go for it. Just the change from killing wasps, basilisks and collecting ore from nodes is enough to buy a copy.

Everyone can hate on the game and say that theres not enough content blah blah...

From what I can see the game has about the same amount of content as every other MMO just released.

Crafting is a big part of MMO's and this one has none. To be honest, I don't care. Most MMO's have a terrible crafting system anyways. A lot of time spend watching bar after bar crafting some twig to eventually make a bow or w/e. I would rather they leave it out of the game completely. Less time spent standing in front of a table crafting crap.

I played beta, but I was stuck in the tutorial zone for hours and ended up only getting to play for a couple hours on the last day.

I was wondering if its possible to speak to the opposite faction. Heros speaking to Villians etc through the chat system?

Ya on another account I have a glad. They are really fun to play. I chose BD because I just always liked them. I agree that BD's are weaker in the pvp department but Ive always thought that any class can be good depending on who was behind it.

Ive played since beta, not really a noob, but I understand what you're saying. The server merge really helped me cuz now I have all of my high level chars on the same server. Makes leveling a new one much easier when they are financially stable =)

I'm playing again on one of the oldest chars I have. It was a toon that I created to pk because my server was down at the time. This was back in may 2004.

Her name is EricaIsDown01. Just about to hit 40, it sure has taken her a while to get there lol.

After reading the forums and talking to people it seems that finally ncsoft is headed in the right direction. Lot of bots are now being banned n what not. Plus leveling seems to be getting easier with every patch.

Graphics: 7/10 - The graphics are good but not really my style. It kind of felt like I was playing an older game. Like a mix between guild wars and something else... cant put my finger on it.

Storyline: 4/10 - It was just there. Nothing to pull me in really. The only reason I gave it some points was because there was a war going on with fireballs.

Gameplay: 4/10 - Another aspect that left me wishing I had not taken the time out of my life to download it. I played a rogue, a bladedancer/bard to be specific. I really hate that this game also has combo points. I was playing a rogue from wow all over again. The skills had different names but were essentially the same. The combat was fluid but lacked cool animations to go with it.

Quest mechanics: 2/10 - Same as every other mmo out. Go kill this and bring me back some chicken feathers. Booring. I gave it 2 points because it did have some interactive stuff to do. Like click on a catapult and sink a tiny boat. lol.

User Interface: 8/10 - I actually thought the ui looked good. I like the design for the bars and skill buttons. The only thing I didn't like was when moving you cant open up mini map, well you can but it goes transparent too much to see anything. Maybe you can change this setting, dunno. Not big deal tho.

Overall nothing really caught my interest in the game. Nothing new, but didn't expect it to be either. I just signed up for the beta and got in. The rift fights reminded me a lot of warhammer online with the public events.

I have decided to come back to L2. One thing I will need is a legit clan or people to play with. If anyone just started or wants to start playing on Chronos server it would be nice to have a leveling party. I have ventrilo thats available also.

I will be playing a BD.

WoWs graphics are like nin64.

Everything is a wow clone to wow fanbois because they have to make excuses to keep playing.

Most people began mmo's on wow. They are afraid of change.

Aions graphics dont look like wow, they still are terrible, but not to wows degree of terrible.

I have a friend that started playing wow again. He would curse the game until one day I log on vent and hes playing. Now he will bash any other game and say wow is the best mmo ever. He has the same mentality as most others that play it. Its like some noob disease.

He went as far as saying that Tera's graphics are the same as WoW.

I like smaller dungeon groups. Just cuz its not 20 people doesnt mean it will be easy. Lot of ppl seem to think the lower number of people = easier. 

I cant wait til an mmo comes out that has soloable dungeons as well, that are hard with epic boss fights.

So if theres a better game thats out F2P with same or better graphics plz let me know. oh and better gameplay. I sure as hell havent found anything.

Just started a new legion not too long ago and we are looking for more members no matter your level. We are a casual legion. We do play a good amount during the week but we do have lives outside of the game. The legion is still level 1 and under 10 members. This is due to it being brand new.

If you would like to join a legion just starting out we would be happy to have you. The only requirements are Ventrilo, working mic, good at your class and would enjoy being apart of something new.
