I shall decide when I've played the beta at the end of the month. I will definitely be rolling warrior, guardian and elementalist but will probably end up filling all my 5 character slots :) |

I reluctantly paid £50 for the digital version from Anet but I won't be supporting Anet by buying items from the cash shop. I've already paid £15-20 over the odds so they can do without my funding for gems and other crap they are selling. |

The Secret World: Pre-Orders & Beta Weekends

I wonder what else is on the cash shop as two of the options have experience boost potions. Pretty expensive MMO really considering u pay £40 + whatever else you want to add as well as a sub each month and a cash shop. |

If it was £ to $ 1:1 it would be like the US gamers paying $80 instead of $60 for the normal digital version. Thats how much we in the UK have to pay extra. We normally pay max of £35 which is about $55. For me this is a one off payment for a game I've been waiting over 2 years for. If any other developer tried this extreme markup on a game I wouldn't buy it. |

The normal digital version is overpriced too. Most games in the UK are £30 but GW2 is £50 so they are being greedy. I'll still pay £50 but I'm not happy about it. I've been waiting for over 2 years for GW2 and I'm gonna play it no matter what. I was expecting £40 as the game has no sub but £50 is going a bit too far. Will be interesting to see how many casual gamers will fork out £20 extra for a pc game. |

Guild Wars 2: Collector's Edition Revealed

I paid £35 for SWTOR but GW2 is £50 for the basic edition. It's definitely bordering on greed. This is the first time I've had anything bad to say about Anet but this will put alot of people off the game and give a negative light for the game in general. I don't care if there is no sub its still damn expensive for a PC game. I don't think I paid £50 for the CE of GW1 and that had art books, a headset and many other things in the physical box and this is just the digital version. Anet better be ready for a backlash with these prices and adjust accordingly or many people on the fence about this game will be off it and running the other way towards TSW. |

All P2P MMOs charge a fee to move your characters from one server to another. GW2 is account based tho so all your characters are bound to one account just like in GW1. They arent charging you to switch to a different server if you just wanna PvE with your already created character but it wouldnt be fair to play in WvW with that same character as that is open to abuse. I'm glad that ANet is binding accounts and making it difficult to switch from day to day to a different server. I'm the opposite of you OP. I wouldn't play GW2 if they didn't bind accounts to one server and make people pay a nominal fee to switch servers. I want a fair RvR competition among servers not wondering if there are spies on my server from one of the servers I'm battling against because they could switch without a fee. |

I think that was a Guardian trying to tank it as he has his spirit weapon helping too. |

Would love a VIP beta key too if anyone has any spare. I was in first beta weekend event by a stroke of luck. |
