lol. I think AoC was really pushing to beat the WAR epidemic and get their game established first. I don't blaim them. WAR is fixing to be a power house of MMOs and I wouldn't want to release the same time or behind it. |

I'm sure there will be websites with the "recipes" up and working within a week of the game's release though. So essentially I can see what the troll is getting at. You just don't have to get an actual in game recipe to be able to make something. I do like WAR's approach to this crafting though, I feel it is somewhat innovative and will be sucessful come release. |

I'm considering it. That is a lot of money for a game though. I don't often order CE, but with WAR it may be worth it. More than likely I will probably wait and order the regular retail box set. I don't blaim those who want to get the CE though, I would get it if I wasn't paying so much money on gas every month. |

Yes you are right. The player will atleast know what they are getting, you know what I mean? It's not like you can complain that you had no idea the game would be instanced or something like that because they show their deck before release. It sucks to get hit out of the blue such as TB or VSoH. Atleast here we know what we are getting. |

If that is all the choices you are going to give me then I vote that you should go back to WoW. You do have WAR to look forward to though. |

I agree. VSoH has a great seamless world in the sense that it is beautiful and huge. However the game has taken so many negative critisims that even with the great world it is still a turn off to play. VSoH is starting to get better in terms of the Internet community and should highly consider releasing a 14 day trial or something to boost subs. |

Darkfall looks very similar to Mortal Online on paper. I'm just curious, which one began development first? Mortal Online supposively started in 2002, but didn't really get going till 2005. I think these 2 MMOs could put a huge dent in the MMO community, however, it would appear that they would be in strict competition with eachother. Any thoughts? |

I totally agree. I will continue to flood the suggestion forums with MORTAL ONLINE until MMORPG.com picks it up. If Darkfall has a forum in the development MMORPGS then Mortal Online should definatly have one! |

1. Mortal Online 2. Darkfall 3. Warhammer None of these are out as of yet though. WAR will be out in Fall of '08 and appears to be very solid, however, it's not quite your hardcore, oldschool MMO like UO was. Darkfall is getting to be very dicy in the sense that we don't even know if it exists at this point and if it does, we don't know that they are actually going to be able to deliver on their early promises. MO looks to be AMAZING! However, there is very little evidence of its current state and I for one would not put very much faith into a 2009 release. If it truley is in the making and will eventually release it promises to be a great MMORPG for us who want something other than the cookie cutter quest MMOs. |

Yeah I saw that, that is just for GMs training though. I'd expect a late Sept-early November release if I was you. I know it sucks because we all want to play so badly, but I have a feeling it will be worth the wait. |

I totally disagree. The game blows. I really wish that wasn't the case because I'm a huge SW fan! However, I'm also a big MMORPG fan and I just cannot dump my time and money into something that is not worth it, even if it is Star Wars. |

I know exactly what your saying. I really hope for the seemless world feeling, even with instances this can be acheived. I just hope that it has all the necessary content and role play to make it happen. |

You and a lot of other people! Join the club. However, it won't happen. WoW was a blessing and a cancer to MMOs. Although it wasn't the first for leveling, it made leveling such a popular formula that most makers will continue to use it instead of rolling the dice with a skill based MMO. Skill based is a lot of fun, look at orginal UO or orginal SWG. That is why Darkfall and Mortal Online have such big followings even though they have little to show for their existence. We are desperately graving a skill based game with more freedom in your character. I just don't see it happening anytime soon. |

I'm sure VSoH will win out on your poll. LOTRO is recommended if you are a young MMO player or new to MMOs and are a big fan of LOTR, otherwise I'd recommend to stay away from it lol. VSoH has had some big issues early on, but from what I've heard from people that play regularly is that the issues have for the most part been fixed. No trial for VSoH as of yet though :( |

With such records you have to question the authenticity and accuracy of these so called records. For instance, "SWG was the first to allow people to place their own houses to form a Player City" this is definatly false. I played UO in 1997 (before SWG was even released) and we were placing houses and forming player cities then. It may not of been as well set up as SWG because UO was primarily sandbox and you had to make up your own rules extra, but nontheless, I assure you we had some player cities on Atlantic server. Furthermore, numbers like these are very easily skewed and manipulated. I wouldn't put to much faith into their results, as I've already debunked own of their records without even researching anything. SWG use to be great. However, lets face the facts, it sucks now and we desperately need a new SW MMO! |
