so, from the screenshots it doesn't look like mounts actually interact with the "ground" at all

???

although i never had any intention of playing the game and was having a grand time playing Skyrim i was talked into it by a friend

strangely, Skyrim is on hold and my free time is spent in SWTOR

although i am continuously disappointed by the graphics (or lack there of) in the game i am enjoying myself

that said graphics will play a major role in any decision on paying a continuing sub - right now they don't warrant a tick in the plus column

Thank goodness that's over

maybe now we can get regular updates for LFG

looks like that is a no then

well, hopefully skyrim will be more morrowind than oblivion

Is there one?

The instructions i've found look be to be a PITA

Looking for a simple download>unpack>click install button>boom, all set to go

hopfully this isn't the reason "Looking For Group" is no longer updated on this site

pretty sad replacement

Fallen Earth

well, i did win a free copy on this site but wasn't worth the download time

APB is what you should play if you want realism though :)

.. or you could just walk out your front door lol I hear that's overrated though.

 pretty much

but fortunately we have netflix and games

i can't see paying for the client since i (and apparently many others) can't get the client to download or install to attempt the trial

when they get around to COMPLETELY revamping their downloader/patcher i'd like to give it another shot

exact same state of affairs as when perpetual thew in the towel

they planned to release a "core" game and add all the bits and pieces sometime "later"

funny thing is those bits and pieces are the core of games these days

total failure - - - not even worth releasing it as FTP

First off, assuming that Morrowind is the most "highly regarded" of the TES series according to things you've heard here and there is a logical fallacy. You can't make this assumption, and quite frankly it devalues your entire thread because of it.

Oblivion brought TES to more people than all of the other games combined (and that's fact) and thus was the one to thank for the huge funding and support TES has garnered, without which SKYRIM might not even have been possible.

Daggerfall had the largest world and a great variation of quests, and many like it because of that.

Personally, I could never get into Morrowind. I tried to play it twice before I even heard of Oblivion, and it bored me so much I couldn't sink more than 10 hours into it each time. Oblivion, however, has kept me enthralled for hundreds of hours, and with the modding community that is available there is no reason why you can't mold it to what you like. That is what the greatest strength of Oblivion is.

Knowing this, I would rather they bring in elements of ALL games, not just your favorite. Let's take the nostalgia goggles off and realize each game had greatness to it that, if brought together into one game, will create a truly incredible experience and throw your disbelief out the window.

i don't hold out much hope of  going back to the good game that "morrowind" was

the series had to be made "easier" to attract the xboxers and their moms money (morrowind could be played on the original xbox but it definitely was a PC game directly ported to the xbox and it only worked if you had the correct drive in that xbox)

oblivion could be "fixed" with the right mods though

horse armor only a $1.99 - woohoo

doors (well, at least one door) that won't open in main game without DLC.................

I loved oblivion, But skyrim seems so much better

  • You can dual wield swords( FINALLY)
  • The constallation thing where you upgrade thing was awesome
  • You can trigger two magicks in both hands and combine them
  • Dragons are dynamic
  • Looks flipping Amazing
  • Dragonborn skills look sexy
  • The world actually looks alive, instead of 4 npcs walking around( The imperial city)
  • Maps are huge
  • Weather dynamically changes

Probably a whole lot more, But thats basically what i picked up from the 13 minutes of gamplay trailer :3

probably only available by way of DLC the day after release - it is bethesda after all

won't purchase until after the GOTY comes out and the mods are available that can strip out all the compromises made for the xbox kiddies

Its made by ArenaNet.

definitely should have been one of the choices

This game called faxion is one of two games i wont play (the other being WoW because its $ $ $ and hype). I will never download, play, or even watch the trailer for it. MY reason being the fact that it takes Heaven and Hell to lightly. This is using religion and twisting it in to fake fantasy. If I am reading the banners and all that jazz righ that's what it is really about. But don't let me jump to conclusions here. If you have played it what is it really about.

Oh noooooooo......

Fantasy and religion collide....what will I do.

 excuse me?

they are the same thing

more like walking hand in hand which is hardly a collision

i love this game

maybe it is because i did not play WOW beyond its first three months since from what i have read those who left WOW to play Rift don't seem to be impressed

the important thing is i'm having fun - so all the arguments on either side mean nothing to me

looking forward to what Trion comes up with for this game

pretty sweet

had never considered a rogue

but now.............

and what could be the reason you require addresses and phone numbers for a prize that will be downloaded and not shipped?

I dont know if anyone saw the article over at IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/115/1158889p1.html) - but at the bottom it says all stats are provided by Trion Worlds. The very first one says "currently being played by over 1,000,000 people." I know there were some rumblings about the 1 million accounts at launch, but the wording of this definitely hints towards that many current subs.

Good for Trion if thats true.

during the big event on sunday night it felt like all of them were on my server :)

With Dawn we are starting to introduce better trade tools, for instance for handling offline transactions between players. We are also taking the first steps with transport service tools.

With the initial Dawn release, players will have access to a new mail system. This will allow players to trade items and messages with others whether they're currently online or offline. As expected in Mortal Online, there is a large twist when compared to traditional MMORPG mail systems. While you can send and receive mail in any major town, packages are not automatically delivered across the world. It will be up to players to deliver the mail and parcels to the recipient's home town or address.

I just don't see this as being successful at all. Maybe when it first comes out you will get people doing these errands. But a few months down the road nobody is going to bother with the boring task of carrying strangers packages across the world for a meager amount of cash.

Too much realism is a bad thing, and SV doesn't seem to understand when enough is enough.

although we don't know exactly how this will work........

unless carrying mail gives you immunity what happens to the mail when a carrier gets ganked - interesting huh

and no mention of the capital city of Tindrem(sp?)

has that been dropped altogether?

wish there was a mention of a new downloader/patcher doo-dad - - - can't even try the trial
