A new patch will be deployed tonight, replacing the current launcher/patcher with a shiny new version. This should solve most, if not all of the problems new people have with the current patcher.
If you already took part in one of the earlier stress tests, you can patch using the launcher/patcher. There is NO need to download the full client again.

Make sure the following drivers/tools are installed and up to date.
The game will NOT work with outdated versions.

actually you can hear them in any forum. except indye part and payed beta. but was a very very VERY good article to read!!!!

i dont see the carebearish at all. maybe cause when i have played as so called murderer in other games i have gotten used to on punishements, losing gear while others dont ( well in here we all lose lol), real time jail, constant target mark on my back whatever. the statloss isnt much different. i can live with that.

its still pk. a nice pvp in sieges well- world always needed a heroes. for the murderers there was allways a rope or axe:P

if i see anything carebear like is the carebears whining its too hard to be a pk player...

solution is easy. dont kill people unless you are attacked.

ok i dont get it... when darkfall was introduces i was like yeaahhhh, then cae the problems, lack of beta access, the activity of developers in forums etc. and it launched. and... dissapointed. why? it wasnt what was promised ( well so far NO  game does it but ok) . so the guys that played df found mortal online.. i went to take a look.. and was surprised.

1. devs are active. and i mean ACTIVE on forums, even replying to post that are not much even their job....

2. the truth! they dont lie. they admit they had/have troubles. but nda was lifted, everything is at open.

3. stress test. we can yell as much as we want but it wa a nice 12h open door to everyone.

4. they have stated and state every time. they test features one by one and then blend together. not putting all together and then figuring out wth is wrong.

its not a fanboy statement, hell i like their idea, but i am not sure if i get the game, when i get the game or how long i am going to play it. but over the years there are things that are rare in gaming industry - the honesty. they are open, they communicate, they know what they want, but also consider the feedback. so i find that the game has huge potential, not cause of its current state ( i am brave enough to say it wont launch beore may or june) but because of staff. and yes its being compared to eve for a reason - they play their own game too....

so take the game as it is. its yet unfinished product, with great potential but we dont know atm if it be any good, only time will tell.

but to judge a game in beta phase is well, my english isnt the best... stupid?.

and finally... the last dissapointments in new games have led me to actually admire people who are honest. to be exact- i rather play a game that is in development, but has a good staff, than a game that comes out in secrecy, only thing added is hype and promo. but never communicates with people.

ps regarding stress test. people should actually read what is said. idea was 1, crash server. 2 crash server, 3 crash server, 4, test material gathering.

with new patches and job gear its easier to farm npc mobs.

as said if you have a good pc .. with instructor quests you het yourself a merch fleet in no time. 2 lvl 10 ships + noobboat (dragon head boat) or 4 lower ships. depending on your machine can make a 100 mil daily EASY. aven big boys dont have steady 100 mil income per day.

so answer is:

yes you can but for you it takes longer. IM junkie can and will up himself fast, he gets items bought by IM so yeah you are behind.

at one point you are equal.

new patch that comes needs even more ingame silver. that means you have silver, they have items. level 5 maps will cost 9,6 mils per try, the ones that are playing and ahve tried level 4 maps at 3,75 know what amount of silver we are talking to get the treasures :)) so yes this game can be played at high levels without any real money input.

about that moderators BS that was posted in here earlier - its bull. sorry it is. tho i am in dagama, but also having toons all over 4 servers, its widely common to point that mods are doing crazy things. truth is - forum mods are not GM. never been. never will. GMs are igg workers.

do we have some original chinese version GMs playing - sure. but also they dont/cant use their clients there, nor accounts.

i am not mod myself, and no wrker for igg, and i usually dont post in here. but sorry ... if i see total BULL then i have to reply

i agree : to compete on very high basis you need serious cash ( over 100 usd a month or very good toons as alts, or alot of merching)

it gets bit boring in upper levels and insane ingame silver is needed

igg has terribe customer care even for vip users

item mall is overpriced etc all of this can be read in forums there also.

but knowing some of the mods over the years - i havent gotten anything off them. nor i dont know anything that have been done wrong. except some incident very long time that involved old real GM acc and some item... but no ofrum mods were part of it.

what comes to dual core - idk what dual core you use, i have old intel 1,6 dual and i run fine 4 accounts at 1680x1050 if i drop reso i run 6-7 just fine.
