IF you are looking for a great game i would try Darkfall online .
Just like to say that Darkfall is up and running and you can play it now. Had a hard time getting in the game when it started even tho i was a beta tester ,,, I could not get in the game ,, because the store was always down.
So i gave up on it, even tho , the game has everything i wanted in a mmo. Then i heard all the hacks and said forget the game now .. to my girl.
So months go by ,, then i get a email say darkfall online is up and running in the usa. So i buy the game and start playing, and its the best mmo ever made as of today . No hacks that i see,, and if you do see a hack just do this /gm_report first name here last name here>>then a message about what the person is doing.
This game has reason, and with out reason a game is no good.
So now me and my girl are both on the game she loves it i like it . Lots to learn in this game . Its a game where you watch and see your toon get a name for them selfs.
But if you are the TYPE that likes a game to end ,,, then this game is not for you ,,, you would be better off playing games that start at the end of the game!
This game is for someone to live in it not get mad because it takes you along time to get something.
Takeing a long time to do something is very rewarding when you do get something ,, because everyone in the game has to work just as hard to get the same thing you just did .
I dont know why anyone would ever stop playing this game . I been on the gameing world for about 13 years or more, and played every mmo out to date.
All other mmos are all the same mmo with a diff name,,,, BUT >>>>DARKFALL ONLINE<<<< IS THE BEST GAME YOU WILL EVER PLAY !
Darkfall was at first a bad game , now it is the best game ever made trust me . There is a north american server .
I played all most every mmo out and this one is the best . I was the beta tester for this game but after beta i got mad because i never got in the game. Store was always down.
Now there is no problems and the skill system is great. Everything is great dont know how in the world that someone could not like the best mmo ever made .
But if you do come on DARKFALL ONLINE. then here is some starter info for you , the game is hardcore, but you dont have to be hardcore , you gain str from lumberjacking and mineing and swimming, you gain stam. to from all the diff types of skills.
Dont hit your team mate back in this game more then two times , two hits from you will make you roge long enought for them to kill you . Best place in the game is the Dwarf lands , they tend to stand by each other better then anyone else.
Just come give it a try i know you will love it , Because there is reason in this game for everything you do, not just going around asking any enemys around to kill for nothing hehehe.
This game you take what you want and lose what you dont want. Fighting for land and sea is great . just try it you will love it!

Another f2p warrior eh? You guys are dragging down the entirety of the MMO genre.
Anyway, the PvP is realm vs realm. From 1-20 there is basically no PvP outside of duels. At 20 you start heading into zones where "rifts" open. Rifts basically are gateways that allow players from the opposing faction to raid your faction's "PvE" areas. There is almost always a rift open somewhere, although the presence of a rift is easily identifiable. This, in my opinion, solidifies this as a PvP game. After level 20 you really are never truly safe from the PvP aspect of the game if you want to continue leveling up.
At 25 you have access to a huge area called "The Abyss". It's a huge, open world PvPvE zone that both faction have access to. This basically means that the combat is between two players faction, the Elyos and the Asmodians... as well as an NPC faction that adds a random element to the gameplay (and acts as a balancing factor). The Abyss mobs/quests grant more experience and are generally weaker than like level mobs in "PvE" zones. The idea being to reward players w/ participating in an open PvP zone. Also, both PvP and PvE inside the Abyss grant Abyss points(AP)... which are used to buy the best PvP gear and items in the game. The more AP you have, the higher your rank. The higher your rank, the more AP points your worth to your enemy. When you die, you lose AP points(the higher your rank the more you lose). This creates a sort of player skill cap where a person balances out (your earning/losing). Some of the best Abyss items require lots of AP, so only good/smart players who can obtain higher amounts of AP will be able to afford them.
In the Abyss there are also Fortresses and Relics each side fights for control over.
Relics have unique powers that, when used, affect all players of the controlling sides faction. These powers are impressive/useful enough that they can really play a factor in the outcome of battles, so its in the interest of both factions to control as many relics as possible.
Fortresses have time-span's where they are seizable. You do this by laying siege to the fortress, breaching the outer door, and then killing a raid type boss that lies within the fortresses interior. There are also forcefield type generators in fortresses that prevent air raids, these are important to defenders because it creates a choke-point of defense. By taking out the shield generator the fortress can be breached from the air as well, which causes it to be intensely difficult to defend. Successful fortress sieges award medals, which are used to buy some of the best PvP Abyss gear. Owning a fortress grants the capturing Legion(guild) a large monetary value which basically simulates "taxes", as well as provides your faction with a local trading/crafting(? i think) hub deep inside the Abyss. This is important because the game's fast travel system can be a real drain on your bank account. The reward system is good enough to drive the siege system continuously, which is a great thing.
As for the level grind, its not too bad. Worse than some games, better than others. There are enough quests in the newer versions to take you to cap w/ a minimal amount of grinding. The Abyss + Rifts break up the grind pretty well by adding a nice random PvP encounters to the game. I'm not terribly big on the PvE leveling grind "fun factor", as I've never played an MMO where I actually found that particularly interesting... but its not horrible. Individual fights move a little slower than I'd like (ie the time it takes to take down a single mob, not the speed of gameplay). I find levels 1-25 to be pretty painful, not because they take a long time, but because its all PvE and your characters skill-sets aren't fleshed out enough to really "enjoy" them yet. That's just my opinion though.
The real grind is going to be from getting AP and siege medals to buy Abyss gear, or collecting enough materials to make the best crafted armor(which is really good). Also the money/item grind to enchant all your stuff to +10 and properly socket it with the appropriate gems is going to take forever as well. However, if you -enjoy- the PvP, it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. It will definitely keep PvPers busy for along time.
PvP combat is fast and interesting, but not so fast that the game is frustrating. Movement and kiting are encouraged and rewarded, so its not the slug it out non-movement type of PvP that a lot of asian game's are. Arial combat adds another level of strategy to the game, although melee is somewhat at a disadvantage in this aspect. Heavy consumable usage rewards the prepared, which may or may not be a good thing depending on the type of gamer you are. The combo system requires the player to make unique choices based on the situation that can largely effect the outcome. Class balance is pretty solid, better than most games. And the game touches a nice balance between actual player skill and gear affecting the outcome.
I don't have much opinion about the PvE raids or dungeons. I think they are a weaker part of the game on the whole, but NCSoft seems to be pushing more PvE content into the game. Some of them combine PvP elements into them, and some of them combine performance based rewards that seem pretty interesting (ie the faster you clear the dungeon the better loot). But I haven't actually got to play w/ any of that stuff so I can't tell you how well its really done.
As for the preorder, I'd recommend it. You can try out the game in the beta tests and see if you like it. if you don't, just cancel your preorder. You also get a 3-day headstart on leveling (being ahead of the leveling pack will be a boon in an open PvP environment like the Abyss), and if you preorder the collectors addition you get a couple nice items... most noticably a unique set of level 30 wings that will end up saving you a bunch of gold as you won't have to spend a ton on the level 30 ones you buy in-game(kinda like getting a free epic mount in wow).
Thats good that the zone is for lvling because this way you need your race to fight for you so you can lvl .
PERFECT PVP ASPECT, NOT JUST RUNNING AROUND KILLING FOR NOTHING . YOU AND THEM ARE KILLING SO SOME CAN LVL THERE CHARACTOR . EVERY GAME THAT HAS PVP MEANS NOTHING IF THERE IS NOT A REASON BEHIND IT. LIKE GAURDING OR TAKEING SOMETHING .
I need all avalible persons on allied side this is state of emergy. This game is great it closest thing to war you will see.
But there is one thing the start of this war started about 2 weeks ago and the axis has pounded are heads in the ground. This has been the shortest war i seen on this game 2 weeks to take over land the size of almost real erurope.
Any ways you ppl got to help me out and put them boots on and go for them flags. Come one come all!
We need allied suport not axis thanks See you in 5!
O and one more thing you will need a joystick in this game to use most anything that is operated by you . Only inf. dont need joystick.
Ok try it you may like it and stay for ever!
WW2Online is updateing the game big time new stuff, and what i been waiting on Graphics to go along with the real war game.

Well stop hacking and you may get to have battles with others . Or keep hacking and be the only loser in the game hehehe!
That game has so many hacks its not funny. Well just one hack makes the game no good.
And there start of this game sucked, they never let everyone that wanted to play it in , and in a game like this , you will never win!
Game would be ok if the hacks was gone and everyone started over. But they need to send everyone a invite to there email for it to be fair.
I waited for this game for like 8 years and beta tested it and liked it in beta. But could not get the game when it went live. So i give my money to other mmos that let me play and not so many hacks.
How will a new V.A.T. tax affect the US mmorpg markets

I think US is a money hungrey pig!
Thanks i think iam going to join in again theres no mmo that comes close to this as far as real life comes.
MMOs come out all the time now , but they lack the #1 thing to keep ppl playing there game. And that thing is a Reason to kill and a reason to die.
Nothing is good about a game if you never lose nothing or gain nothing from winning and loseing.
WW2 Online has that . If you leave the game , and six hours later you come back, your team may still be fighting for that same land when you come back on.
Nothing like loging in and your team tells you we need you and everyone else now!
If the game dont have reason, then the name of the game is boring!

Fact!! WW2Online is the largest game ever made. It takes 6 hours of auto pilot on a jet in that game and you will only be half way across that world !
Question? Is there alot of people on this game now?
I think this is the best game ever made if there is alot of people playing it. I love sitting out in the woods and listening to the birds in the day as i watch for enemy players trying to take out are bace.
And night time with that AA gun and them plains shooting at each other with the pretty lights going threw the air just so real to me.
The only game you can turn up the sound and go eat something and hear if some tank is rolling up close to you.
Guns sound so real and everything is baced on real deal. But with out alot of ppl this game is not that good.
Ok , to much about what i like.
Is there lot s of people in this game as of right now anyone know?
Anyone still playing this game ? Just wanted to know because this game was the best with lots ppl in it.
Iam thinking about joining in right now ,, but just need someone that plays it now to tell me how everything it the war news paper is going on hehehe. I loved how you can go to the main site and read about your self or other mates that done something good for the team.
But the main question ? Is there still alot of people on this game now?
Hi guys iam a gameer that has played alll mmos and played this game also when it came out .
But this game got good, you can now make quest in here hehe. there is pvp now as you get hi lvl there is alot of maps that you lvl from and it is good vs bad when it comes to who lvls .
They got all kinds of stuff to power you up. I am a gamer that dont like pve but you know in this game something about the fighting is good. maybe because you only hit with spells . I love the controller and my girl likes the warriors.
This game was made by the makers of linage linage 2 ect ect.... I say pick that hero or vilian and come fight for justice.
Games i played with in last 6 months EQ2, TcOs,, Warhammeronling, Darkfall.
I am the type that likes sandbox games with good pvp , full loot , makeing everything in the game including your pots and pans you eat with ehheh so now you know i like that kind of game . And iam telling that this city of heros vs villians is good you may really like it heheh.
I played this game when it first came out , but lasted 4 days heheh and i been on this for now 2 weeks hehe.
14 day trial is at there web site what you got to lose come on over and see all the ppl that do play this game .
Servers that are popular are...... virtue and freedom . them are the most pop.
Also very important that you know about everything and how it works i think you need to read there wiki. And dont forget about the arthitect house , because there is 3 diff types of stuff you earn besides xp and fame.
I play on virtue. well i just wanted to get the server over populated heheeh,,, i may have messed up . Graphic settings may come down when all you come.
Enough of the symbolic "turn based" bore-combat!

I on the other hand like to aim my shots and kill fast only if i get a head shot.
The main thing mmos are missing out on that makes a game fun and usful.
Is something to fight for!
Lvling a guy to the max for nothing is boring. There has got to be objective so each race can help there own race .
I want to login to help my race to win what ever there fighting for.
Thats it ,,,,, its all simple just make something to fight for . And add player ran servers and player made stuff only. Everything must break and wear out .
Money should only come from looting enemy players and trade skills.Nothing in the game should ever be more powerful then crafted goods.
Its the best kind of game if they can ever make one with good graphics and movement / combat.
Sandbox is a game that has very little to no in game objects,,,, these objects like towns , houses , farms etc... Are all made by the player. Players craft everything in the game. Everything in the game can be destroyed by the enemys.Everything can be taken from you to.
Roma Victor is a very good sandbox,,,,, But it lacks one or two main things that keep ppl there and that is the combat / movement of the characters.
Sandbox is what i want , but with good realm vs realm and full loot, and permanet death, good combat where you aim your shots and there is no click and watch. I like to see a game that takes years to master and not 1 month.
But if they make a game like roma victor with good graphic and actions. full loot, pera death. combat where you aim to hit... And thousands of skill but only able to master a few. That is what i like , sorry for all the talk i get into that!
Its not that great because ppl that are 1 or 2 lvls higher win, so there for there is no skill in fighting.
Another thing is crafting in the game ,,, its good but guess what if ppl can get the same loot off a mob drop what is the point in wasting your time crafting?
Well game makers mess up all the time , if you can get everything on your own and dont need anyone then all there game is ,,,,is a single player game with ppl to talk to in it.
I dont like single player games never did ,, i dont play sony playstation because i dont like to play a computer . I like to compete in games with pvp to try to be the richest and most powerful man on that game.
But if they ever come out with a game where you cant max out skills ,, then this game will most likely be good.
Something with skills in everything you do ,, climbing , starting a fire to cook some food,, you know that kind of game where you live in it and not just hit mobs in the head for everything.
Game where money is so hard to make that you got to do a trade to make money. And the lazy ppl that just kill stuff will be poor and never have nothing good .
Game that has aiming in it ,, so it takes skill on that to hit what you want. Game with weather that will kill you if you dont have the proper clothes on. Game that is so hard that you can only master 1 or 2 skills out of thousands.
With thousands of skills that cant be all master by one person is a sure thing when it comes to everyone being diff.
Money should never be made by npcs this is for a single player game. Games that have 50 servers is not a mmo to me, its no diff to me then a fps game that hold 64 players.
