Candygirl, you're saying like EQ is some dead project and SOE just tries to get last cash out of it. Do you know that EQ1 has more active subscribers then EQ2? |
|
The fact I started this topic doesnt mean i can't discuss other people posts and argue. And I dont see, how Secrets of Faydwer is less different from previous expansion then Rise of Kunark. They both have completely new zones, features, tasks and so on. |

Sorry, mate, but Everquest 1 with 14 large expansions and 400+ game zones beats the hell out of EQ2 in terms of content |

Congratulations to Turbines' Asheron's Call for seeing its 9th year!

I'd like to hear your opinion on which MMORPG has the biggest amount of content period. This includes the size of the world, amount of quests, npcs, monsters and bosses, crafting, skills and overal things to do. Which game is the best to get player busy and let him discover someting new for years to come without adding new add-ons? |
|

Well, I was hardcore WoW player myself for 2.5 years and now switched to LoTRO. I enjoy exploring Middle Earth much more then when I was playing Burning Crusade Pros/cons of LoTRO compared to WoW:
pros:
Graphics (much better) Community (much more mature and friendly) Lore Atmosphere Roleplay Support Frequent updates cons: Much less end game content Smaller world PvP sucks hardcore Less dynamic battle system Cant use UI mods

Agree on all results. EVE is the best, WoW is the best fantasy, LoTRO is the best new game. All correct

There are games that make me feel sad for them dieing. Like Ryzom and Gods & Heroes. I played Fury, read forums and I dont feel bad that this game goes downhill. Maybe Auran will learn some lessons and next time focus on making a fun and polished game instead of releasing some crap just to make quick cash |

Age of Conan and Hero's Journey. WAR doesnt give any innovative elements.

Its good for 12 year old fans of film trilogy but nothing of interest for serious MMO players

What do you look forward to in the "Next Gen" MMO's?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/19/07 11:00:30 AM
Let CCP add to EVE Online: planets walking and exploration (each with different landscapes, citizens and content), planetary fights, walking through stations and ships, more ingame media (newspapers, TV, global space network) and more thought out PvE, it will be Next Gen MMO anyone would dream of |

Eve Online. Its really the best MMO on market today.
Though my most memorable moments come from early days of Wow

Ozmodan, check those screenshots. 2 from old world and 2 from late expansion. Didnt EQ really change much graphically? Old1: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/scenery/eastkarana-broon.jpg Old2: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/scenery/dalnir-goo.jpg New1: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/scenery/crescent-1stfloor.jpg New2: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/scenery/buriedsea-sirens.jpg Also check graphics of the latest dungeon: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/zone.html?zstrat=442

Check eve-online.com site. There are tons of official stories covering EVE Online past and present lore. Also there are alot of missions with objectives that help to dive into the game.
But the best storyline of EVE is politic affairs among players. The fight chronicles and alliance press releases are more interesting then any quest in classic MMORPG

Originally posted by Drea-merOriginally posted by Mmoseaotter There were 25 people in Crescent Reach last time I logged and this is only one noobie zone. There are no less then 100 people in POK at any given time. And dont forget, those are just 2 of 400 available zones. So I wouldnt say EQ is empty. It has more population then EQ2 and lots of people came back lately with Anniversary edition release. Graphics is solid. Wont rate if its better then WoW. I like zone design in WoW more, but the models and obstacles look more realistic in EQ. Some regions in EQ look really impressive compared to old world |

With the release of Age of Conan and Warhammer Online, WoW will loose plenty of subscribers. Most my friends that are playing WoW now gonna quit for Warhammer
