100% agreed. People think its another asian grinder. Truth is AoW is one of the best and most unique MMORPGs in recent years and easily can teach some lessons to games like Guild Wars 2 or Rift

Shitty list, as always on mmorpg.com. Those are true winners:

1. EVE Online (always was and still ahead of its time. The only AAA quality sandbox, MMORPG as it should be).

2. TSW (the best MMORPG in many departments: story, characters, setting, character development, voiceovers, graphics, atmosphere, quests)

3. WoW (ultimate theme park, has everything for everyone)

4. Age of Wushu (most unique MMORPG with best PvP system in ages. Amazing game overal, only weak point is PvE)

5. Tie between TERA, AoC, Vanguard and LoTRO

Neverwinter is disaster and doesnt deserve to be in top 10. SWToR is boring bland clone, same as RIFT. GW2... boring and disappointing.

Im glad that not only I think those AoW reviews lacklaster at best. She never even tried to write about PvP which is major focus of AoW. And 7 in innovative and social categories? Name me a single MMORPG since EVE Online that is more innovative and social.

It is the best PvP MMORPG and most unique MMORPG in recent years. So yeah, it is really that good. PvE aspect kinda sucks though

For each their own. TSW for me was the best MMORPG in many years. Defiance while I kinda liked in small amounts, is mediocre MMO shooter

Short answer - I liked it. Game looks simple, but for some strange reason I had fun playing it. Can log in, shoot some mutants for few mins, do few tasks, log out. 

I also think you might find more gold bars in garbage can, then "landmark revolution" in Defiance
