The early weapon models are not important and I bet you have not seen the later, rare ones. |

The major issue with Public Quests

Mythics solution right now are multiple PQs in each chapter. I agree that a scaleable system would be great but then I do not think we can judge the current system based on the preview weekend or beta servers. Things might get ugly at launch but influence comes in really fast in the first PQs so people won't hang out there too long. |

Targetting hot keys I use constantly for mobs that are close or for assists, but anyone would know that tab targetting through 50 different mobs to get the one you want near the back is not the way to go, especially in PvP/RvR. But it wasn't so much the fighting that makes self-clicking annoying. It's looting and interacting with environmental objects where it truly becomes a pain, especially if the item is small. Always having to adjust the camera angle just right to get close enough to an object and click it, instead of yourself. And the area that the game engine considers to be "you" is quite wide, which has resulted in my avatar being selected numerous times when my mouse wasn't really near it. And there is NO reason whatsoever I would ever need to click on myself. Some classes or players may need it, but a ranged DPS with no healing skill doesn't. It needs to be able to be toggled.
That said, it isn't game breaking. I'm not giving up my pre-order, and I will still be having an active sub. The AI, however, may end up being a problem...
I agree with you but have to point out ONE reason you want to click yourself!
/drumroll
You get a title for clicking yourself 100 times!! (Its true)
To be more serious I am sure there will be an option to disable self-clicking and I am sure pathing and monster AI will get better. Let's just hope they get it right I have faith in them. |

Of course it offers roleplaying possibilities but I don't think it will be the game RPlayers should be excited about. It is all about the conflict between Chaos&Order, the war is everywhere and I doubt there will be alot of room for diverse roleplaying. Myself, I will enjoy playing my role in the WAR. |

if my opinion is jibberish to you that's your opinion... thanks for the compliment though.
Sorry ... sgel ... I mixed up ... some posts ... please ... do not ... hurt ... me. Its just that comments like "uh Im bored with my life", "I'm sick of elves" or calling the RVR a mindless zergfest do not help anybody and are kinda annoying but I do get your point! |

seriously... your argument is ridiculous...
People should just stay away from the game if they dont like the setting, ruleset or RVR.

Oh and Lotro only has 200k-300k due to lack of endgame content that will change with Mines of moria. I see Lotro hitting 500k easily. Lets try to keep in mind that WoW is a freak of nature, in reality having 200k+ subs is great for a MMO. I can see WAR doing 1-2 million subs in the first year plus, after than it depends on blizzard and Biowares next MMO. Exactly, the whole game is based towards PVP. No noteworthy economy and crafting at all, which I consider a huge part of a mmorpg. This is a game for people who like to PVP whole day long, and do some pve when they get bored or do some "crafting".
Well WOW is a huge success and only offers meaningless crafting and no economy worth mentioning, on top of that you have crowded meaningless BGs and fans of the meaningless arena bragging rights thingy. Im sure there is a market. |

Age of Conan failed because it is intrinsicly flawed. Not because of WoW

I see AOC's biggest flaws in the foundation of the game. Melee combo system (which actually gets horrible in later levels) versus the boring casting. Instancing is way too heavy and the instances themselves are boring, lack everything and offer nothing. Overemphasis on graphics which alot of systems cannot handle well. Just to name 3 things on top of my head .. worst piece of software I bought lately.

The thing is, there is so much broken in this game that one would not know where to begin. Everybody enjoyed the first 20 levels but soon or later you should see plenty of flaws! The zones/paths are laid out horrible, have no real points of interesent and serve no purpose. Prime example would be the border kingdoms beeing exact copies of the ressource/city maps but yet you there is nothing you can do there not even gathering. How cheap is that?! The imbalance between classes and in general between melee/casters is horrible... horrible. PVP is a "one-shot-fest" and again serves no real purpose. The raid instances were bugged in the beginning but matured from unplayable/exploitable to downright boring and uninspired content. Melee combat in general gets overcomplicated at later levels while magic combat is just the same old same old. The community on my server was exceptionally spamming hardcore rude language in the global chats and we got no moderation on the german servers, it was scary and crazy. Oh yea what about the sexbuff?!
