Oh dear, you haven't run into some of the 13 year olds I have.  Lucky you.   Some of the kids (and adults) in these games are a convincing argument for mass sterilization of our species.

Amen. I am all for that. The amn should not have lost his cool but then again the kid was acting like a punk so he deserved to be throttled just not by a 46 year old man. Unless it was his father knocking some basic human decency into him. In this case it is safe to say both should be sterilized one for being too attched to a videogame and one just for being a general plague upon society.

I didn't have a problem with them more security questions the better and even if they googled me they could not get all five.

I am convinced it is done because just like in our actual society most people are self absorbed cretins incapable of comprehending anything beyond their own short term gratification. They can't see that by their actions they are killing the games  they play. Also the term "hardcore" should never be appled to a video game. You want to really be hardcore become a ranger, a navy seal ,swat officer or anything else along that line. Calling yourself hardcore becuase of a video game is rather sad.

I loved DAoC housing.  They kept adding housing zones so i think it is a much sought after feature. I really enjoyed it as it felt more like a world instead of a ride. The fact that I could have my own bank and merchant at my house was nice and to me housing helped build community.

Server and faction change last time I did it took a little under 3 hours.

Things are not as bad as people are making it sound. Most are in support. Those who do not agree, still seem to be setting aside their priciples and will continue to buy the game. So I thank everyone in the SWTOR Community for supporting progress.

My only worry is that people will become targets of harrassment in game. ex repeatedly killing us and using negative words creating a poor and unsafe atmosphere. These people should be reported on day one so we can set a presidence that hatred will not be tolerated in SWTOR.

If any of you have time, please spend a moment on the Offical forums and show your support and continued support for the other things we need in game that I mentioned earlier.

Seriously? How are you to know if they are killing you for being gay as nobody will be able to see the romance arcs. Maybe I am  misreading your intention but you seem to be trying  really hard to play the victim card. Accept the fact that not everyone that shoots you and /rudes is not doing it because they hate gays they are just doing it because they have anger issues and really just don't like anybody,

 The  WoW style raids and gear centric end game are what ruined the genre. Soloism has always been there to varying degrees. Soling does not remove from the mmo experience. Crafting and farming mats are solo based but help drive the game economy but with no gear decay and raids it removes the need to have viable crafting which lessens the community.

Agree with Smokey its the raid centric  endgames like wow that are ruining the community. back before there was endgame raiding in my experience people actually took time to enjoy the game and make friends instead of buring through the game in search of a raid guild. I did not have to group in EQ or UO back in the day but they still had a great community. Grouping made life easier but was not forced. With the infection of wowing style raiding we have the lost focus on the journey and have tunnel vision on the epic treadmill at the end.

I voted raiding as I have no desire to hop on that treadmill again.

I just returned to WoW after 8 months away and will only be around until SwToR or TSW come out. I don't mind leveling alts over and over but I always get bored when I hit level cap as I just can not stand raiding and once you hit cap there really is not much to do besides hop on the raid treadmill and deal with those people.

This is true. Just have different servers for different factions I think this will help bring a sort of DAoC realm pride back .

I don't give a hiary rats arse if raiders have the best gear I just want something to do at endgame to get some good looking gear that is beneficial to my play style. Let raiders have the raid gear i don't need to flex an epeen my real one works wonders by itself.

I think it will most likely be sci fi though I doubt it will be FPS. People love to change their appearcne and  get new gear kind of hard to appreciate it in FPS. Though I may just be biased because I hate FPS games almost as much as I hate PVE raiding.

It is not so much the raiding but the type of people I have encountered during PVE raids. Was not as bad in EQ but in WoW it ruined they whole concept for me. Also the way I have seen most raid guilds operate the game becomes more like a job and a game is for entertainment not  a vocation.

I solo most of the time or do small group stuff as it has been my experience it is just not worth the time or effort to do raids as the raiders I have encountered are one step below felons in behavior and attitude. However I have no issue with raids being in games I just don't want to have to raid to complete my story and I want to be able to get great gear without raiding. I don't need the raid gear just give me something with bonuses more benefiting a soloer or crafter. and it has to look good.

Easily worth the cash. I have played through DA1 &2 numerous times. I wish it was more open world but still a good story. As for Witcher who knows never played any of them. Fallout GOTY edition and Fallout Vegas are also enjoyable. Don't forget Dark Souls and Skyrim will be out soon as well.

It is Biowares game and their choice. Don't like it don't play. Keep that PC crap out of every aspect of life. No we all can not get along there will always be a us vs them. Though I disagree with Badspock in gay being unnatural. Gay and sterile are just natural procreation limiters. It is neither good nor bad it just is. Also where do people get the insane notion they have the right to go through life without being offended? At least speaking for the US we are supposed to be a nation of TOLERANCE as in we tolerate each other does not mean we like each other or even respect each other merely we tolerate each other's existence and most of the time we fail even at that.

Wife and I did a 6 month sub but around month 3 we were still in the mid30s and it became a chore to log on. I just could never get into the game it had no immersion for me.

I see ToR being released sometime late October-mid November.
