Operation "We don't want two factions" - WAR40kOnline
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 6/19/10 3:35:42 AM
only going to reply to this once... since its alredy 8 pages long. 2 factions or 3?... I'd say 3... Why?.. Look at DAOC... 3 factions.. and while its had its ups and downs, its still going strong. Look at SOE's Planetside, 3 factions.. still going somewhat strong (havent played it myself in over a year but it still seems to have a following) WAR?... 2 factions.... got boreing realy quick, and from what i can see... is going belly-up in a hurry.... Aion?.. 2 factions... didnt quite get boreing fast as its still new, still fun.. but the pvp in it?.. yea.. its fairly boreing with the lagspikes and such (last pvp i was involved in with more than 8 people one either side... think it was a major keep raid... the lag was so bad i had to turn off player avitars.. which basicaly made everyone includeing the enimies invisable.. yea.. like that works.... 3 factions are always better than 2 when it comes to PVP oriented games not because of the risk of unfair fights.. but because it adds some variarity to the game.. Not only do you get to chose to attack.. but every so often you'll actualy see 2 sides working together to attack the 3rd.. Now those litlte peace-treaties never last forever, but it does make for interesting fights... specialy when 2 sides are attacking each other, and a 3rd runs in and attacks both of the others (done that a few times on DAOC hehe) |

hmm Tried again.. with a g-mail account.. and it worked!.. though, i think i know why it didnt work befor.. My e-mails have both Capitol letters and lowercase letters.. im almost positive, when i was entering my e-mail in the registration thing at www.playrf.com like normal, whatever system CCR uses to process the Registrations either dosnt recognize capitol letters, or dosnt see them as what they actualy are (uppercase of a lowercase letter).. This time around i enterd the e-mail fully in lowercase letters... and got the verification code i needed in less than 8 seconds. go figure =D So... if anyone else is haveing issues like this.. try what i did, enter your e-mail in full lowercase and see if that works. |

Well CCR is the origional owner/publisher... so its the right website sofar as i know as its strait from their own website =D.. i just cant for the life of me get the registration to work =( |

I cannot for the life of me ever get registerd with the new hosting services. (were codemasters shut down and CCR picked it up to keep it alive) Im guessing http://www.playrf.com/ is were i need to go to get back into RF online again (just want something to play to keep me occupied between schoolwork.. so i dont realy care that the 'leet' stuff is payed only and anyone not paying for it is 100% gimped =) )... But... ive tried 5 different e-mails.. 3 different names.. and i NEVER get the confirmation e-mail to set up an account =(... And no, its not getting lost in a spam filter or folder, it simply never gets sent to me. Anyone else have issues trying to set up an account with CCR? Or anyone that has NOT have trouble with it willing to gimme a hand getting an account made since they seem to hate me for some reason? o.O |

Saying SOE has nothing to do with this game is a odd statement...
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 1/07/07 4:48:02 PM
*Shakes head* ok... What rights does SOE have over Vanguard? How its advertized, What the box-art looks like, Whats included in the box, How the manual looks, (possibly how many servers there are) And thats about it. Oh and i 'think' they may have controle over how mutch per month the game will cost. Other than that... they have nothing at all to do with the game, how its patched, when its patched, what makes it into the game, whats taken out of it. Nothing from a codeing standpoint do they have any controle at all over. That is all in Sigil's hands. Sigil is createing, editing, running the game. SOE is doing nothing more than Hosting the Servers, Marketing it, and makeing a profit off part of the sales and montly fee's. |
