It is just a heads - up for people. I am well aware of current systems, how much RAM can actually be adressed by a 32-bit client. Thank you however.

Personally i don't have a need a need to upgrade. My first WIn Vista installation was stable for 4 years straight. i recently reinstalled and it is still fine and runnign everything else w/o problems. No probs with Skyrim for example.

Currently playing Open Beta Weekend in TSW. The game-client is constantly crushing with an error : out of memory.

This is is due me using Win Vista 32-bit client with 4GB of RAM. It is a known issue with the vista and win 7 32-bit client.

So in case you are running 32-bit clients and are not planning on upgrading, you might not want to preorder or buy this game until this issue is fixed.

I don´t think you actually can die of boredom, or the people working in road tolls would have a high deathcount.

On the other hand wont I try to say.. Watch all episodes of greys anathomy in a row to see if it is true or not.

I thought it was Dr.Quinn -Medicine Woman- which was initially used as the boredom-torture in interrogations. Later on it was banned due to intervention of Amnesty International.

I have seen the road tollbooths in the states when i was visiting, thought it kind of funny, that people would actually work there. In Germany we don't have them. Too hard to aim the coins properly when passing by at 150mph ;-)

Let me rephrase -

Amazon Germany sent a msg to its pre-order customers.  It translates :

"Dear Customer,

we are sorry to inform you, that we received a notification from the Publisher, that the so far estimated release won't be met and the game won't be released until at least the 28th Sept. We will inform you, if the date will change again.

According to a message from amazon, release of GW 2 has been delayed till Sept. 28.

Launch is on the 20th. Every argument, claim, complaining, bitching, yelling, moaning, FAPing before that date is null and void.

Having early access is a courtesy and doesn't entitle anyone to anything.

To answer the question : No pre-launch. 

On the other hand, pre-launch is only the final stage of beta-test and thus is a good forum stress-test for the whining that will be ensured in the pvp-forums ...so whatever.

Witnessing all the bitching, whining and yelling about not getting onto early access from the first minute, it amuses me to no end that, although i cancelled my preorder 3 weeks ago, i just got in early access.

So far i haven't found any solid info on the item/loot system in FFXIV.

Can you upgrade your equipment with loot, or is it crafted-only upgrades ?

A good thing about PvP games is, that you can retaliate against aforementioned asshats with ingame-methods, giving you some satisfaction and even some goals you might not have in a strictly pve-orientated game.

I don't believe that AION will be such a great success in the western world, as there are alot of people here, who don't like the forced pvp-part (me, being one of them), thus i won't buy AION.

 

 

 

I'm just baffled players like you actually visit Aion forums. Why do you care what people think and why do you think it's necessary to come here and announce you won't play the game because it's got "such and such feature". I don't go to the forums of games I dislike and start trashing them because of a feature. This forum here is for people to discuss the game, not repeatedly dribble on about features that some may like and some may not. It isn't going to change.

The only people who I believe have a good reason to come here and give a negative review are players who write nonbiased reviews for each game they play. These people usually look at the game subjectively and are even able to say a game is solid and welldone even if it's not their taste.

P.S. NCSoft has stated they are targetting for being #2 in the West which is basically any subscriber base above 300-400k.

Your are probably baffled because you need to learn to read and comprehend. I haven't trashed AION with a single sentence I merely stated the reason, that i, and alot of people i have met online in 10 years+ of gaming will not play AION for the forced-pvp.

I am fully aware that alot of people crave for a good pvp-centric game in a fantasy setting. sci-fi geeks have Eve online, which i still occasionally play, yes even pvp there. Although i don't like it much either and will most likely sell my account soon (anyone want a 20 Million SP char ?). Eve is very well done and by itself a great game.

Personally i don't care if AION will be a success or not, however i am happy if people have fun with it and enjoy it. Why wouldn't i ? If an open-beta starts, i will try AION and  i am pretty positive that it will be well done. Doesn't change my opinion about forced-pvp though.

I do visit alot of game-forums of games i don't play. I was interested in AION, so i usually follow the forums more or less. On a sidenote, i frankly don't care which forums you visit, or which you refuse to visit.

As of the statement from NC Soft, that range can be anywhere from 400k to 2 Million, going for gold would be unrealistiv atm. Having 300k subscribers, AION might survive, but you who will play it, want it to have way more, so the game will be develped farther. That was my point.

I'd say screw her. If she cannot accept your hobbie, she does not really love you.

Don't get  me wrong...haveing a relationship does mean, one'll have to make compromises. But that is on both parts.

Personally  i wouldn't stay with anyone who put up a choice like "either that or me"....for me it would always be "that", just because i am not for blackmailing, stubborn and generally a macho :-)

Oh and btw, i am married with a wonderful woman who does accept my hobbies as i do accept hers.
