And by liked the skill changes I meant I liked to be in one piece preferably with some kick ass rebel lackeys, rather then dead with no lackeys.

There was always the option to gain skills and have fun LOL. In the CU, the respec tool was introduced. Which basically let you completely rebuild your characters skill template on the fly. Although you could only use it a certain number of times. But still, gaining skill experience in CU was no different than pre-CU. In fact, I believe characters were getting more experience in the CU than in pre-CU.

The NGE was NOT the right move. They needed to fix the game they started with, not try to make a completely new one.

I don't know how many years of development there  originally was for SWG; I am going to guess 1-2 years. The developers took ALL that time, and ALL that money that was spent making the game and completely fucking trashed it.

SOE changed the game for themselves, not for their players.  When you take a game of 32 professions, skill based and then dumb it down into 9 professions (not even skill based on the day the NGE came out), you're not going to get a very good result.

It doesn't surprise me that SOE falls into the 2/3 of the world that doesn't have common sense. All it's going to take to destroy SWG for good is another Star Wars MMORPG. We can only hope that BIoware has one in the works. But we won't know until they announce what the new game is.

Whoever said the NGE was well executed is a complete noob. I'm sorry dude, but when you don't announce a complete change to the entire game system to your players and just spring it on them, (right after a new expansion was released), that is horrible execution. The only reason the NGE is getting praise now is because Sony has added in pre-NGE features, like auto-targeting, which didn't exist in the initial release of the NGE. Beast Master is another pre-NGE aspect that has been added in. The more this game goes on, the more you're going to see it become pre-NGE again, because that was a great game. Its just taken SOE longer than usual to realize that game worked, and no one wants a World of Warcraft clone.

Now the initial Combat Upgrade, was a good execution. It was in the works for quite some time as was a much needed change to the game; AND they advertised it. They should've stuck with that, as it was the modified version of the previous system. As much as I can remember, the CU didn't change that much from it's previous state. The 32 professions were still there and some enhancements were made, armor mainly: certifications and new armor added in if I'm not mistaken. They made a hell of a lot of changes to the professions as well. They cut down the skill points needed to master Bounty Hunter, and they threw in Bacta Infusion for Doctors. They also upgraded the special ability icons, they made them a lot more colorful. And although it was a small thing, it streamlined the game slightly. I believe the combat speed was also increased a small percentage, which made it that much more fun.

So if anyone out there thinks the NGE was in fact better than the CU, you are horribly mistaken and you need go back and examine the meat and potatoes of both systems.

Someone just needs to make another Matrix MMORPG. A Matrix-oriented MMORPG should be the "ultimate" MMORPG, hands down. This game should be kicking ass, but instead; it was half-assed.

What would it take to save SWG?  Not a rollback, that's for damn sure. If SOE knows one thing, they know that another drastic change to SWG would cripple the community, (as if it isn't enough already...). If you roll the game back to pre-cu, you're going to have everyone who likes the NGE complaining about changing it back to the NGE. I know this seems crazy, but there are people that like the way the game is now, and vets who like it better than it ever was. Even if they make a rollback possible, all those lost players aren't guaranteed to come back.

What the game needs, is more freedom for the players (what all MMORPG's in general need). These days, I see a lot of people complaining about the present state of the game. I see EVEN MORE people posting new ideas about the game and what new things they would like to see. Because this is the only Star Wars-oriented MMORPG on the market right now, they need to start taking these ideas into account. I want to be able to fly my ship around each world. I want to be able to shoot things while I'm mounted. I want NPC's to actually make me think they have a mind of their own. I want a geniune, true Star Wars experience. And one thing is for certain: I DON'T WANT TO PLAY STAR WARS EPISODE 4-6 EVER AGAIN. It's just been done too many times, and it's getting boring. I don't want to play World of Starwarscraft online either. I want a game that lets me modify the way my house looks. I want a game that lets me modify the way my guns and armor look (to a certain extent obviously). I want my character to be original in it's design to the fullest extent. If I want to crash my speeder into someone to try and take them out, then let me do it.

But don't sit here and tell me I'm going to have less options. Why would I want to play a game that gives me less options, when I can play a game that gives me more options? Screw that. The problem is, that gamers in general (especially the older, adult audience) have played every type of game there is to play. We want something new. We want freedom in video games. We want to be able to do whatever the hell we want to. If SOE gives it's players this option, then they have truly saved the day. But that will never happen, I mean seriously, c'mon. It's SOE man LOL!

But like I said before, this game, crap.

The beautiful thing about opinions is this:  they're just opinions.

Some people like Matrix, others don't.

And then there are some that has like this unhealthy sexual attachment to it to see it croak and die.  I think one day Ill sit down and right a Thesis on this.  MMORPG Fans and Haters, a Sexual and Immoral attachment to a virtual execution.

Think about it.  At work, do you argue this adamantly against anything? True, we all argue about any type of topics but in terms of MMORPGs, it seems like people get a joygasm just seeing how offended they can make the next person down below their own written post.

Intriguing really.

I said the game was crap. I didn't make an overly derogatory statement about it like a lot of people have. I also didn't make any personal attacks on any of the posters in this topic.

"Some people like the Matrix, others don't".

You could've left it at this, but you had to add the remark about having an "unhealthy sexual attachment". Which could be taken as an insult to some of the posters in the thread.

Immediately after saying this, you THEN say that some people "get a joygasm just seeing how offended they can make the next person". Basically making you one of these people; in regards to your previous statement above.

I look at this game from a player AND a developer's point of view. Besides missions, and the ongoing story of The Matrix content; there is little else for players to do. They may explore, yes, but exploring every day can get a bit tiresome. Missions can get tiresome. So can grinding levels, loot, or anything for that matter. The crafting system isn't very appealing, (if there even still is one?). Events don't happen every day; and as far as roleplaying is concerned...I feel personally that when a player logs into an MMORPG, that they shouldn't need to "roleplay" because the world has already provided them with that. Unfortunately, not everyone sees things my way.

And yes, I do argue adamantly against the things I believe in at work. If I don't get it my way, I move on; plain and simple.

You know, vehicles, explosives, destructible environment/objects, different body heights and melee weapons would kind of rock, but you're right, never gonna happen.

SOE wouldn't be caught dead making a game that good. That's just a simple fact. Now you put a game like that in say...the hands of Bioware or something. The final product would be pretty damn good, simply because Bioware is reknowned for making great games. Giving players more options is a huge plus, i.e. vehicles and melee weapons.

Items that can be dropped in the world are as good as developed and are only waiting for a usage.

And dude, I honestly can't take seriously what you're saying about the current condition. Chat window is perfectly stable, you can change its proportions and size how you like... chat is perfectly readable, the contrast is perfect.

Yes I know the chat window can be resized and the chat was perfectly readable. The problem is I was constantly looking down at my chatbar to see what people were saying because there were no chat bubbles. In combat, I had to watch my health AND the chat tab 24-7. If a fellow group member was screaming for a heal because I wasn't constantly watching it,  I would more than likely miss it. It's definately different in its design, but not for the best in my opinion. Give players more options.

What you described as the "current condition of MxO" is one of the cases where people say nothing, and do random bored stuff. Probably just your own experience.

Yes it was my experience. But it was also the experience of every single player around me who also wasn't talking, (because no one ever chatted back at them more than likely), and was doing random bored stuff.

Events and RP events might be not as awesome as you described, but they still take place.

The "event" described above could have simply been a mission one of the Operatives had taken. Simply change the Merovingian player to an NPC.

A poor comparison, and lacking observation. Not completely false. No time to pick apart in detail. =p

SOE got MXO in a deal for the liscense for a DC comics MMO. It's safe to assume that the DC game, Vanguard, and other projects are where they're focusing in terms of investment and development. Buying MXO is like buying a used 1994 Honda Civic with missing hubcaps, you can get limited serrvice and find some parts to upgrade it with, but Honda isn't putting money into selling 1994 civics to new customers or revamping it...they have new projects for the future.

Haha! VERY well put. And I dunno about you but a DC comics MMORPG...uhhh yeah that's already been made, it's called City of Heroes/Villains LOL.

I mean c'mon, if you think a DC comics MMORPG is going to do well NOW? I'm not even going to get started on how retarded of a decision that is. DC, or Marvel, whatever, it ain't gonna work unless it's REALLY AWESOME. Hell I already made an entire server of X-men on City of Heroes LOL Not kidding either, I logged in with a character that looked exactly like Wolverine and someone told me to be original. I told them I wanted to be play Wolverine LOL Claws and everything heh heh heh...

But like I said before, this game, crap.

I wanted to start a thread about how well this game plays, and how well IT SHOULD be played.

Currently, here is the condition of MxO:

You log in. You're standing next to the hardline and everyone is standing around. You notice everyone is the same height as you, some skinnier, some chubbier, but all the same height; both male and female characters...No one says anything, they just appear to be standing there, milling about. When they do talk, all you see are black dots inside a chat bubble. You open your UI options and find no option to be able to see chat in the chat bubbles...A few crews run back and forth from the hardline dropping off mission loot. Another group of faction comes by and ganks a few of your player faction. You watch the same old repetitive 5 second animations playing. You click your cell phone and take a mission...

Here's the way playing a Matrix MMORPG should be:

You log in. You're standing next the hardline, a few people hangin' out chatting about their last mission. You notice a female character standing much taller than all other female and male characters, and she looks quite intimidating as she types in your "laugh" emote. You can clearly see what they are saying because it's written in a nice, clear, readable font in their chat bubbles. You open your UI options and decide to increase the chat hover delay, and make your main chat window your combat information window. Now if someone says something, the chat bubbles stay long enough that you can see what everyone is saying. You hear a roaring engine behind you and turn to look and see a large white van with a Merovingian-factioned player in the driver's seat aimed straight at the telephone booth. Somebody yells, "Holy sh#@!" and everyone jumps out of the way as the player rams the van into the hardline, destroying it, a fire igniting underneath the van. You will have to log on your alt later and gather some resource to reconstruct the busted telephone booth. But it doesn't end there, a black car full of Operatives was following not far behind and rams the driver side door of the van so the Merovingian-faction player can't get out. The van EXPLODES! And your screen blurs from the heat as your character and all bystanders are blown backwards onto the asphalt. One of them throws everyone a heal as the area becomes heavy with gunfire. The Operatives are now out of the vehicle emptying clips of bullets at the enemy. One of them appears to be coordinating and tells a group member to run in and grab "the disk". Your hear this and decide to grab "the disk" from the guy instead. You jump in, stun him, fists and feet flailing, dealing massive amounts of damage as your new friends fill his torso with lead. As you're combating the outcast program one of the Operatives yells, "AGENT!", and your stomach drops. Some dude dressed in a fine suit and a pair of black sunglasses runs up, hits your enemy, then pulls out a gun and finishes him off point blank, reaching down and taking "the disk". You start backing up just enough to get out melee range when someone screams, "OMG 2 AGENTS RUN!". You turn and see an NPC turning into another Agent. Someone sends you an IM, telling you to grab "the disk" and run in to the Mara Central hardline. It will probably be about another 30 seconds before the other NPC has fully formed into an Agent so you pull out an uzi and a samurai sword you had to friend craft for you last week. It took you almost a month to get the resources for it, but it's the most powerful melee weapon in the game. You computer screen flashes with automatic gunfire as you start shooting at the NPC turning into an Agent. You use your sword to fight off the one that picked up "the disk". You manage to kill the NPC before he fully forms into another Agent. A few good slices stuns the other one and knocks "the disk" loose. You grab it and leap 200 feet into the air to the top of a building in the direction of Mara Central...

'Nuff said. LOL

Any thoughts? I think we can safely say that we won't be seeing this anytime soon from SOE...

The reason, (in my humble opinion), that Monolith sold the game to SOE is simple. They were more than likely rushed through the development of the game and didn't exactly get everything into the game that they wanted. So they release an unfinished product, (releasing a game before it's ACTUALLY READY appears to be problematic in the industry). Monolith more than likely foresaw the future, so they sold to SOE to make as much as they could and move on.

Why is this game still running? Who even knows, there's only like 3 servers or something right? SOE just trying to make cash, that's all it amounts to. Or perhaps there's something we don't know about? Maybe SOE is going under and trying to keep it's head above water as much as possible. Who really knows the answer to this question, but one thing is for sure...unless something done, this game is not going to last much longer. Or rather it will stay online, but hardly anyone will play it.

I could say a lot about SOE, but the thing I WILL say: They don't seem to know how to make a "movie" game. You make the movie game, with the fact that it is an MMORPG in mind. You don't go in there thinking, "I'm going to make a MMORPG". Because that's what everyone does, and then the game is just another WoW. Maybe that's what they want, but in order to keep these kind of games running, you have to make a really, really kick ass game from the start. Because MMORPG's have a very long life span, whether people want them to or not, they are based on the internet plain and simple.

The game needs to be taken offline, fixed, or maybe even a new one made, because I just don't feel like I'm LIVING the Matrix and THAT'S what players want.

You know, I so like it when people talk in extremes. You're saying this because of how little content MxO has in comparison to some other games (as I've heard, not experienced myself), but you're forgetting that people might actually think this game has no content. You get it - no content. That's actually an imaginable scenario, in theory.

The standard missions are not only pretty much all the same, they are all the same because they're randomly generated and change between two or three boring variants.

And what the hell you're talking about - what martial arts combat system? Nothing was taken out, the combat and character development system were revised, from CR 1.0 ro CR 2.0 - that included several overhauls of gameplay, and some changes to animations (incl. removals and additions), but the martial arts haven't gone anywhere.

Oh pardon me, it shows a new short video every few months that has no baring on anything in the game, so it has almost no content, not none. I hope you can forgive me.

That's my point, yes :)

Revised, dumbed down, removed, whatever. The martial arts used to be fun, you had to counter the opponent and select what kind of attack to use for best effect. Now it's just to click a button over and over. Even though the combat still got martial arts animations and some pretty colours on the toolbar, it's hardly the same system as before.

To each cinematic/subchapter, there are 15 missions (interacting with events, but that isn't static content I guess). We are currently in the 18th subchapter, and all released missions are archived as static content.

There are 51 mission contacts in the city, each with 5 missions.

There's also the Pandora's Box quest series - the mission number counts 10, but those can be challenging, are placed inbetween finding hidden collectors and defeating powerful waves of enemies within a time limit.

Then of course, you can bring up the less interesting/meaninful stuff like neighborhood collectors (not completely worthless, but pretty thin), and the gameplay stuff like access nodes, archive construct loots, Exile Hideouts (which are soon being enriched by a new loot) and the Zero One quest (which is by the way an alternative to standard mission levelling between level 40 and 50).

The new feature, the luggables, are developed and are going to be used for gameplay and story in some way in near future, confirmedly.

That's about the static gameplay content of The Matrix Online. Apart from that, there's textual story content for the interested ones, and live events (call them events or not, lol).

No please, don't start going on about how little this is in comparison to WoW. From all I've heard, WoW has much more, and that's not my point. I'm making the point that what you're saying, "this game has no content", is an extreme exaggeration, and thus just wrong.

An arguable point is the value of this content - to character development or other aspects of gameplay, or to story. That's a matter of preference, I'd say.

Now, the combat system - basically, you clicked buttons in CR 1.0, you click buttons in CR 2.0, that hasn't changed. Different tactics and styles still have different advantages and disadvantages.

You probably aren't terribly familiar with the new system, eh? And that's the observation of someone who has every reason to call himself a noob in the combat system himself. LOL.

Dude, tons and tons of missions ISN'T CONTENT. Okay okay here's how it goes: Missions by themselves are content, Collectors are content, a crafting system is content.  A mini-game is content. What you've just told me is that the entire game is missions. Sweet. Yeah I really wanna play that game. It's like Duck Hunt, when you reach level 99, you just keep going and going, there is no end. You do the same thing and keep shooting ducks, they don't get any faster. I know this because I fucking played Duck Hunt until I reached level 99. Yeah it took me hours by the way but that's besides the point LOL

When I first logged into The Matrix Online the VERY FIRST THING I thought about was how much it looked like City of Heroes. In fact I am ALMOST certain that they took the city in City of Heroes and reskinned the textures to make it look like the city in the Matrix. But that is neither here nor there, who knows if it's true. I was sooo pumped to play the Matrix too, but that first log in...man it just sucked. It wasn't exciting at all, one of the biggest dissappointments for me. I played through the combat tutorial. I couldn't figure out combat. I got to level 20, I still did not figure out how combat worked. The only thing I knew is that if my stats were higher than the other guy's (obviously) and I had healing pills to pop, I was going to win. I saw no "strategy" on how to win combat. And I felt like I had no control over it. I clicked a button and a 10 second animation played. What the fuck is fun about that?!?! All I did was missions. I explored some, but after finding out that the city looks exactly the same everywhere you go, I pretty much gave up on the game.

ALL FLAMING ASIDE:

Now I've played a lot of MMORPG's, (Dungeons & Dragons Online Stormreach, Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 2, Anarchy Online, EVE Online, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes/Villains, Second Life, Saga of Ryzom, Horizons, RF Online, Guild Wars, Face of Mankind, Dark Age of Camelot, Shadowbane, Entropia Universe) to name a few. And I have to say that MxO is pretty much the worst one I have ever played. You are much better off playing Enter the Matrix, (non-MMORPG) which is AWESOME, and there's a Matrix storyline tied into it. If you want to play an MMORPG, and are looking for a Sci-Fi I really don't know what to tell you dude. There really aren't any good ones out. I still log into Star Wars Galaxies every now and then, but I've played it for so long, I've done all there is to do. I would definately suggest it to you though, if you haven't played it, you may find a good home there. Probably the best game I can suggest right now besides SWG, is EVE Online. It's extremely innovative, the graphics AND gameplay are simply breathtaking. If you want an EXPERIENCE, play EVE Online. If you just need a quick fix, play your console or World of Warcraft. Because truth be told my friend, MMORPG's are shit right now, and until there is another breakthrough genre (hopefully MMOWSG's, Massive Multiplayer World Simulation Games), this is how they are going to be.

Anarchy Online

THIS POST IS INTENDED MAINLY FOR GAMERS AND MMORPG DEVELOPERS ALIKE.

The entertainment trend. You know what I'm talking about. The successful change that eventually becomes a cliche after a few years. If you don't know what the entertainment trend is, here's a little enlightenment for those who have been kept in the dark...

Saving Private Ryan releases at the cinema. Great movie. In fact it was so great, that when I finished watching it in the theater the audience stood up and clapped. WOW. That was a first for me let me tell you. Saving Private Ryan was a HUGE milestone for Hollywood for a couple different reasons: At the time, it was original in its design. There were no other "war" movies out. This is a good thing for movie-goers because it was something new, and of course piques their curiousity. The cinematography in SPR (Saving Private Ryan) was phenomonal. Another plus. It was also based partly on a true story if I'm not mistaken; all the better because it makes you think as you are watching it. Another reason this movie set a trend in moviemaking was because the actors actually went to boot camp. Yes, Tom Hanks went to boot camp. They treated them no different than any other kid that signed up for the Army. Great movie.

So what happens after Saving Private Ryan comes out? EVERYBODY starts making war movies. TREND ALERT. TREND ALERT BITCHES. The Thin Red Line. Blackhawk Down. Pearl Harbor, to name a few. They wanna make money too bitches, so they all make THEIR war movies. And eventually it gets old really quick. Ya seen one, ya fuckin seen 'em all. Fast forward..........

The Matrix releases. The trilogy bomb drops. Bullet Time revolutionizes cinematography. Actors get trained professionally pre-production. It's the first movie trilogy to come out in a VERY LONG TIME. So what does everyone go out and do? All these fucks start making movie trilogies. Don't get me wrong, I like some trilogies. Star Wars Original, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones. All very good. I do not however like ALL trilogies. So Star Wars Episode I, II, & III come out, The Matrix, and The Lord of the Rings. All right no problem, I can DEAL WITH THAT. I can't however, deal with American Pie 12, or Scary Movie 17. And all the other movies they've made into trilogies. Every movie now has to have a fucking sequel. TREND ALERT. TREND ALERT BITCHES.

Do I even have to get started on comic book movies? X-men. Spiderman. Fucking Daredevil. Alright alright. Gladiator. Now we're back to war movies, but in a different time. So there's your example of movie trends.

Now with music these days, it seems every new band I listen to sounds like Good Charlotte. Can anyone relate? Fucking bullshit pop/rock wannabe punks. Let me tell you somethin. Punk bands NEVER GO MAINSTREAM. EVER. That's why they are punk bands. So a smaller trend in music, of course making the music that "sells". Not even gonna get started on all the celebrities who think they are musicians now. Yes everyone follows the trend as you can see, trend alert bitches on that one.

And reality television. It's on every station. Good thing I don't have cable. How did that get started? MTV of course with the Real World back in the early 90's. MTV, or RTV (reality TV) as I like to call it, has always played "reality" shows. "Survivor" comes out, someone wins a million dollars and now the entire fucking world is doing "reality" tv shows. By this time you are seeing what I mean when I mention the "entertainment trend".

Finally, MMORPG's. The reason I wrote this shit to begin with. Ultima Online...the pioneer of the MMORPG genre. Everquest comes out. People have never experienced this before and are simply mesmerized. Single player PC games start shipping with multiplayer options. SOE sees the success of Everquest and picks up the Star Wars name for a future MMORPG. The massive multiplayer online roleplaying game genre begins to grow at an accellerated rate. Up to this point, all of these games are different in design, and offer different types of gameplay. They are all original, no one quite the same. Blizzard creates "World of Warcraft" and it's a HUGE SUCCESS. Now suddenly, every MMORPG developer wants to make their game like World of Warcraft and get a piece of the pie. Everyone starts creating WoW clones. Some companies like Sony Online Entertainment go as far as to scrap years of game development, (Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided), and start completely anew, (thus changing almost every aspect of SWG except the graphics and creating a new game: Star Wars Galaxies: New Game Enhancments a fucking faggot name if I've ever heard one, and giving the players a "Our way or the highway" attitude...). I played through a 2 hour instance in DDO at level 5 and I wanted to commit suicide. I think I did actually, near the end I just had my character jump off a ledge so I didn't have run back through the fucking instance to get out. Not all games I guess are trying to steal Blizzard's game. EVE Online is exquisite. Anarchy Online is legendary. Why? Because they are original in their design, AND they aren't medieval based like every other MMORPG is practically. The MMORPG's that come out today, are simply single player games based in a multiplayer environment. RPG's, basically is what they are. They don't deserve to even be called MMORPG's. MMORPG's are sandbox. A living, breathing world where players EXIST. They don't just play there. The first developer that figures this out, and figures out that players want more than just a roleplaying game will be rolling in the cash Bill Gates style.

Players will always complain, that just comes with the territory. You can't expect all these different kinds of people to agree on one thing LL THE TIME. Players want more. They want to be different than the next guy/girl. What's fun about having the same hairstyle, or class as the other person? Players want options. You need to make a game, within a game, within a game. Right now, in just about every MMORPG, there is nothing to do at max level. Players need to know that's not the end of the game for them. It's not accomplishing the goal that's fun, it's the journey it takes you to get there that's fun.

Well I've showed you what the entertainment trend is, and how it seems to be driving MMORPG's. I hope this was useful in some way to those who read it.  Any developers that read this remember, PLAYERS WANT OPTIONS. Be original for fuck's sake man, take a good look at console systems if you need to. Give the players more options, and stop copying other people. You're some of the most creative people in the entertainment industry, start showing it.

And for any SOE devs: Stick with what you know: Everquest. Because you can't handle Star Wars or the Matrix Online, not now; not ever.

Every game is what you make of it.

As far as Entertainers go, they always just stood there and played the same old song and dance. Instead of healing Battle Fatigue and buffing your Mind Bar now, they give you a more specific buff and heal your cloning sickness.

The game was ahead of its time in its original state. The NGE was a disaster, (and yes they did lock the forums for a time after the inital release of the NGE because they were being flooded by angry customers). People still play this game because they have made friends there, and they mostly go there to game with them and just enjoy their company. All the vets I know in the game are mostly friends and do things together in the game be it PvE, PvP, or holding in-game events. The game is a shadow of what it used to be. The only thing that remains the same to the original game are the graphics, nothing else.

A lot of people are finding out really quick that most MMORPG's are the same. They just look different. First time I logged onto MxO, I thought it looked like City of Villains/Heroes. First time I logged onto WoW, it reminded me of SWGNGE; I am of course to find out SWG pirated a few things from WoW...Everyone is following the MMORPG medium and no one wants to try something new.

So I decided to try out a few underdogs. I checked out EVE Online...played through the one hour tutorial and I thought it was the coolest thing since the original SWG. It was NOTHING like anything I've ever seen, it was something new and a very nice break from "here's your sword and your quest log, start grinding to level 1,000,000". Very innovative game, and I recommend any old SWG players to check it out. I also checked out Face of Mankind, Entropia Universe, and Saga of Ryzom. All very good games, and original, and THAT'S what matters.

Getting off topic...We can only hope that some day there will be a much better Star Wars themed game from a creative, innovative developer that's open to new ideas and the thought of one day gamers being able to exist in their own virtual world.
