I like that the genre is moving into this more skill-based type of combat though.

The system requirements for Alpha were much steeper than the requirements for the TERA Beta.

Raiderz is way more hardware intensive then TERA. I can play Tera max out while in Raiderz I had to turn shadows down a bit otherwise the Game would stutter from time to time.

Would also like to point out the Raiderz is a very good looking Game too.

Well the Patch has :

- 2 new leveling Zones

- 1 zone for each Race dedicated to Housing [ so 2 total ]

- 5 Instances [ plus additional content to older ones , like a 4th solo floor for Steel Rake ]

- Mounts

- New Campaign Quests that come with quite a bit of Cinematics.

- more improvements to the Lighting System

- plus all the other small stuff

- oh and the Carpentry Crafting Job

Its going to take some time because they are migrating the NCSoft accounts over. Once they are done , the Servers will be opened.

Last date/time given was 28th sometime in the afternoon.

I rather enjoy the Bonus Quests , or should I say , I rather enjoy the Story behind them. I was surprised to see a Bonus Series pop up on Nar Shadda at lvl 31 , which took me through parts of the Planet that I had not been to while I was leveling.

On top of that they tend to give pretty good Rewards.

WooW. Ripping off One Piece like there is no tomorrow. I guess there is no better flattery then being copied.

You had to buy the Game and pay a monthly Fee to get full access to the Game and that alone turned off many people. The Game is just not a full fledged MMO to warrent a monthly fee. Add imbalance , bugs and repetition to the mix and poof ... game over.

It was a good game , dont get me wrong , but it did not justify its price tag.

Mythos would be the closest thing out now , with Torchlight 2 coming in the near future.

Its Tortage ... not Tortuga :P

Not even close. It looks a lot like UT 04 , a cell-shaded version of UT. From the character design  , to weapons , maps etc ...

No. I did kill the Kayran. It took me 2 hours. I did some damage, rolled behind a statue, waiting 10 min for HP to recover and did some damage again. Most boring combat ever. Why again are there no health potions?

There are potions that increase your HP regen ... just like everything else , has to be crafted. 2 Hours for the kayran ?!? Takes like 10 mins tops with a bit of prep. work.

Actually it's a mere action game with story.

There is no RPG element whatsoever.

Character Progression , Talent Trees , branching decisions , crafting , loot ... sounds like an RPG to me.

I asume you failed at killing the Kayran ?!? That`s like 15% into the Game. Read some of the books on the Boss scattered throught the gameworld , talk to the locals , craft/buy some traps , craft some potions etc ....

You are a Monster Hunter in the game , so do some research on the monsters you have to kill. The more books you read about them , the more damage you do and also take less dmg from them.

AION is pretty stable right now and another expansion is coming real soon. Though this one will be added in pieces to the Game with the biggest piece coming in around september or so.

When in Controller Mode your and the Parties Energy Regen is increased by quite a big amount and your ability to stun is increased . When in Healer Mode , your Heals are twice as stronge as in Damage Mode.

Dont know about Tank since I have not played one yet.
