Darkfall is more hardcore than going to a zoo and kickboxing a tiger.

Consular, here I come... maybe...

I love jumping around and onto stuff.

When I played WoW with my holy priest I'd run around and jump like an idiot during combat healing my group. Fun times.

The mechanic I hate the most is chasing loots.

Lisubab is on FIRE!!!

An aspect that I feel is a tell-tale sign of a sandbox is crafting-based gear.  Often in themeparks, the loot is what keeps the ride on its tracks.

Goldeneye

I'm going to play the absolutely dirtiest hobo criminal possible.

Hopefully it'll be a proper port so it'll be worth purchasing.

I don't know... that video wasn't too impressive.

Just sticking my head in and finding it amazing that the OP and others are ridiculing an environment where ships have roles and are alternately better or designed for some roles over others.

Amazing if in real-life that military ships or vehicles were specifically designed to be more appropriate for various functions -- ohh, wait.

You should actually read some of the thread.  I don't have a problem with ships having roles.  I have a problem with the ridiculous roles they picked.  Magic Healing Ships and such are silly and not right for Star Trek.

I read the comments...again, the fact remains that I find it ridiculous that you find it ridiculous that a non-ridiculous role for a ship is ridiculous.  Good thing those ridiculous roles are nothing akin to what a role might be in combat. . . .ohhh, wait again.

Yeah, a ship that magically heals other ships isn't ridiculous.  Whatever. :P

So what you're saying is that there is absolutely no technology in Star Trek that would allow for the repair of a ship?

That can be said about any game.

I hate gear grinds.

I could choose a themepark over a sandbox because the themepark could be more entertaining, and vice versa.

I saw this title, and knew I had to get in on this... It reminds me of Michael Bay in South Park.

I don't know what to expect from this game, so I'm not genuinely anticipating it, just watching.

Well said.

I'm a guy, now excuse me as I stop, drop, and roll.

Who's the person?

Digital copy's still $49.99 lol.  I'm glad I didn't pick this up during beta like I considered doing.

In normal naval combat, there is electromic warfare, or science ships, and fast attack ships, like subs, that cannot take a hit, etc, this can go on for ever...

And so in ST there are the same, Logistics in large fights.

So by that logic, I guess Voyager was only capable of "electronic warfare" since its a science ship? I guess someone should tell CBS to go back and erase all those episodes of Voyager where they were fighting toe-to-toe with larger ships.

Not to mention all those episodes where the Defiant got damaged, since they are just like a sub and "cannot take a hit" according to the rules of naval combat.

Star Trek isn't like naval combat!

You're right, it's sort of like naval combat.
