I would say Final Fantasy XI because of the story line and the animations. It's totally underrated for what it is. I hope that the new FF online game will be better and get even more players. |

Well if you're a RDM/NIN you can solo better. Of course RDM75/NIN37 for utsu:ni. It just takes awhile to kill but you can solo pretty well. |

Man, I've been playing this game forever. I remember starting in July 2004 and there were so many people running around. But back then there was a huge problem with farmers and with the economy. I bough a crap load of gil and almost ruined me irl lol. That's how bad it was. Yes it's true the game is incredibly long but the storyline is amazing when you get higher level. I saw people in-game with over 6 lvl 75s... once you get 6 and beat Maat (the guy for the lvl 70 cap) you can get his hat (Maat's Cap). I could keep talking for hours on this game. But once thing is that the Japanese version came out in 2003 so they had a head start on the game. This guy named Sagaxxxx on Diabolos was the richest person (he bough his own stuff on the AH for 10mil). He's Jap obviously ;p. The crafting system was super easy in the early days when everything was cheap. So first people to level their crafting to 100 were the rich ones. But yeah... botting was a huge problem back in the day. |

I bought the game after 3-day trial and it's awesome if you have a good pc. Theres a huge patch coming out jan 25th with many changes so it will improve alot. You def need to try this game. |

Crafting in FFXI is very fun and rewaring but the only problem is the time it takes to skillup. It also takes alot of money. There are many types of crafts: Leathercraft Goldsmithing Smithing Alchemy Bonecraft Cooking Clothcraft Woodworking Fishing It would take forever to write all the details about every craft, where to go., etc... Hmm, the only option that I know of would be if someone gave you a Buddy Pass. And welcome to FFXI! It's a great game. Good community, good people, fun, good storyline. |

Well I've played WoW since beta and I recently left because of the expansion and guild/server drama. WoW is fast paced, FFXI is slow paced. In WoW I was in a hardcore raiding guild which we were doing dungeons all week from 5 pm to 1 am. Yes, I had good gear but it was the only thing I was doing after I hit 60.... getting supplies and getting Add-ons for bosses. I remember it took us hours to get the positioning right and explain the fight. And yet, the worst thing was we gave people godly items and they left weeks after. The other thing.... UI.... in WoW the UI can be a big disadvantage to people. In PvP, the guy you're fighting knows what spells you use from an Add-on, they can check your HP, MP, and other things . In FFXI you can't do that so I think it's great. Everyone has fair play. I quit because of BC, the level cap and the capped 25 man dungeons killed every good raiding guild. I was used to seeing a mage with 2-3k HP and now at lvl 70 they have over 8k or more. The FFXI community is great compared to the WoW community. People would spam your server boards saying stuff like: OMG I JUST OWNED YOU NOOB. And then all the drama.... When you messed up in a raid, you'd get owned on vent by your guild leader. FFXI is a long-term based game, and its way better than WoW.. As for WoW it's not really. Getting to 75 in FFXI is an achievement, in WoW it isin't. People were getting from 1-60 in a week/month easily. You don't find that alot in FFXI (1-75). |
