Looking for a good guild on Brandywine!
General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 3/13/08 7:18:14 AM
Well, since Brandywine is the (unofficial) RP server, it be easier if you'd tell us whether or not you'd like an RP guild. p.s.: if you do decide to drop the WAR beta, I'd give anything for your account. Every game for me right now is a time waster until WAR. If you're feeling generous, my email is kataal@gmail.com |

A Month After Entering Vanguard
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 1/14/08 10:29:12 PM
Most people who don't like Vanguard don't have doubts, but have played before and were appalled by the performance and bugs. I played at launch, and the game was...well, in short, it was a complete mess. I quit within a week. I came back just before the server merge(with a new computer) because I had heard the game's performance had increased dramatically. It really hadn't, and I quit again. Now, I'm hearing again that performacne has been greatly increased, and was thinking of coming back, and after seeing that I had seven free days on my account, decided to try it again. This time, I was not disappointed. The game has indeed improved a LOT in the way of performance. I can actually enjoy the beauty of the world without lagging constantly. While the game still needs work, it has improved greatly, and is really fun now, and with the changes and improvements outlined in the Producer's Letter, the future looks bright for Vanguard. I think I might be staying for a while. |

While this does sound neat, I'd rather they focus on Ambulation and the other things they're working on for EVE Online, rather than spending time making this. |

The PS2 and PC versions will work this way, but not the xbox 360 version. The 360 servers work somehow differently. It's the same thing with Phantasy Star Universe. |

The large battle between NPCs and mobs you mentioned is called Mellinium Battle, and is definitely the point in the game (it's in Act 2) where I knew I was completely, and utterly hooked. To answer the OP's question, I'm not too sure if this game gives the SAME magic feeling that D2 did. It's a different game. But it DOES definitely give a magic feeling. It's easily the most fun i've had since D2. |

I have what I would consider a high end system ( i can run LotRO on ultra high with no problems ). I played Vanguard at launch, and the only thing that prevented me from sticking with the game was the aweful lag and crashes. I know this has improved, but has it improved enough to warrant coming back to the game? If it has I'd come back in an instant. |

it went p2p, i preordered. It was great fun. It's sad it died. The idea that the main villain was going to be played by a real person was a great concept.
