Actually, I live in a wormhole, and while its 0.0 space I'd have to call it the "light" version since access to it is limited and it is much safer than traditional 0.0.

Once the expansion comes out my corp might relocate to actual 0.0 if we can find a good alliance to hook up with and run wormhole ops from there.

sort of the same boat. We are part of an alliance we formed, and are a greatcrew of casual members. No due or restrictions, and we live in a wormhole at the moment, but we really want to make the move to true null sec

might have to check this out when it launches...sounds intriguing

Well I used to RP in AOL chats way back in the day during middle school and high school. We used the term Mun (short for mundane) to symbolize the person behind the character, the player that's controlling their character.

This term was also used by many early UO players, EQ players and AC players.  It is a carry over from AOL freeform chat room role playing, Gemstone III, NWN, The Realm and many other old online games.   You the player are the Mun..short for mundane.     ^_^    Characters are avatars, toons and since you are human and come from the mundane world = we're all Mun's!

Valador gets a cookie!

And what do the rest of us that answered get? I want a bigger cookie.

val gets the biggest cookie cause they had the cohones to answer publicly

First, Mun means nothing, you made that up but nice try I give you that.

The correct question should of been 'Do you know what a MuD is?' Which I do which tells my age, heh.

Wrong. Keep trying

Then tell us, or you gonna do the whole "nah i'll wait till she reveals it shtick so i sound smart"

STO is not going to touch eve's playerbase as its aimed at a completely different audience. i dont think many eve players are looking for a lootless quest based level heavy mmo.

this

i <3 noobs

cant wait for this to hit to watch all the real estate free up then we can get a peice of the pie as well

I think you have it backwards, Eve is the perfect noob MMO. It requires no actual skills what so ever. just know the math and you'll win most fights. No twitch based combat or direct controls = no skills.

i'm pretty shitty at math and i do pretty well for flying with noobs for half my eve career. Also if you even watched videos on eve combat, you would notice there is little or no math involved. Quit trollin.

There's also no skill involved. Turn your weapons, shields and regenerators on and watch someone get blown away.

lol sure there isnt

/pats on head

Try being in an actual fleet next time......

Double-up your RAM and you will see a massive improvement in every application.

I run the same card with 4 gig RAM and it runs flawlessly for me on max settings.

i'll look into it for a future upgrade :)

i can run every other game flawlessly, but FE is so uber i need more?

i just finished batman arkham asylum and that wasnt an issue (max graphics)

picked up borderlands, maxed out with aa and af, no problem

Fallout 3...again no issues with everything maxed

oblivion...yup...maxed out with hi texture mods.

hell eq2 i can run on high (not extreme), aoc max, eve maxed, i could go on and on....

and if FE requires more than 2gbs of ram for recommended, then the bloody devs are idiots and should have written the right specs.

and its lag, cause if i walk into an area, npcs will suddenly warp in front of me, or it takes a few seconds for the loot function to work, or if i kill a wolf of another npc, it will still run around a few seconds with no health and suddenly die. I am playing from NYC area, and my connection is pretty darn fast, this is the ONLY game which lags, and i have tried graphical settings from high to low.

If you are not trying to set everything to MAX, then yes, you can run FE flawlessly with 2 GB of RAM.

Go fire up LOTRO, AOC or EQ2. Set their ingame settings all to MAX and see how those games are holding up for you. As all these three clients use over 1 to 1,5 GB of RAM easily. LOTRO and EQ2 client even pushed the 2GB RAM usage barrier from time to time on my PC. Especially when running at Max Quaility Textures. Add to the fact, that even WindowsXP SP3 eats up almost 1GB of RAM alone already and you already see you getting short on RAM.

Single player games you can NEVER EVER compare to MMO's! So get a grip!

Recommended specs still doesn't mean you can run everything at MAX!  Except WoW with it's craptastic cartoon graphics, no other MMO you can run at full MAX settings with recommended specs on the box.

So please. Get a clue. About what Minimum and Recommended specs actually mean!

Cheers

ummm.....yeah......

and i run lotro on max, granted i am not using dx10 cause i am using xp, but lotro runs flawlessly on my system. on maxed out everything

Most important.  If you really only got to level 3, there's no point for you to come to these forums and share your opinion, we won't care.

On a lesser note, if you joined these forums and created two threads before you had about 100 posts under your belt (or at least a few months reading the forums) you are again wasting our time, you look like a newly created troll account.

There's dues to be paid both in MMO's and on forums to garner even limited respect for what you write.

so when you first started posting noone should have taken you seriously nor responded to your first posts....

this is just stupid to think new accounts should be totally ignored. Some are trollish or here to produce some hype, but you cannot dismiss all first time posters, cause some really are just new.

Statements of posting amound and longevity is just ignorant
