I played aion from beta to 2.7 and quit. Well I just decided with a couple friends to come back yesterday and it was a good choice. Tons more to do and it was always all of our favorite games. Will I play forever? Probably not but there is nothing really else out there coming out anytime soon. 4.0 with new classes looks amazing. Def going bard. I have always loved dredge and missed it. Overall I am excited to be back. GW2 was utter garbage. The War Z has too many hackers.

Sometimes it is good to leave an MMO and just go back to it when more stuff is added. For me personally this has been one of my favorite MMO's in a long time out of everything I have played with the exception of EQ1. Just gotta get use to my chanter again and start pvping!

The video stats on youtube of people checking out the bard were like 300k. The other classes not so much but 300k maybe 4.0 will bring back some population especially with it being free to play. Who knows. The game is not what it use to be. I remember pre 1.6 owning on my sin til the crit nerf. That was fun. I really really miss rifting. Aion is just pure fun I met a lot of friends I still game with from there so it is like we are going home.

I can only hope that Archeage will be epic and replace Aion for me. I seem to have a thing for korean MMO's I do like them. TERA was fun too just for the combat but it didn't have longevity. Aion has what I like, sieges, pvp, open world pvp, instanced pvp (dredge) the rifts but thats gone. Too bad it didn't do better here. It is a damn shame.

dont get spread confused with recoil. recoil in the game is fine. the spread (random deviation from the crosshairs) is insane. even with bolt action sniper there is huge deviation with makes it difficult to do anything and you need to keep shooting till you get lucky.

i think they have done this to cater to noobs. noobs dont like getting pwned everytime because other players can aim/control recoil better...

this is a fps game and shooting is fking huge thing in fps games. get your shit fixed up SOE.  shooting in this game feels like im playing a regular tab target mmo where stats and RNG decides who wins... have a look bf3s or bfbc2s gunplay and try to model off that. 

Doesn't surprise me in the least. This is going to be another cash grab attempt by SOE. The game is going to go downhill fast. SOE just cares about making money and not putting out a stellar product for people to enjoy.

Look at how good The Repopulation is going and they are indie. That game is going to be awesome! Cannot wait! Sometimes imo Indie is better because they do not have a publisher breathing down thier throat to release an unfinished game.

You can't really judge it yet. The game is not out and we do not know much about the changes/gameplay.  Time will tell when the game is released and we can see for ourselves how it should need improvement. But until then this question doesn't hold much merit.

Sorry to hear all of that Badspock. That game did not hold my attention very long. I will probably check it out down the road maybe. I understand you wanting to quit the genre of MMO's altogether. I myself have felt this but there are some great games coming down the horizon that do seem promising. Mainly Archeage. Hang in there. I was going to quit the genre a few MMO's back but I have hope it has just been in a crappy slump the last few years and they are going to get out of it. The Repopulation has my interest as I like Day Z and The War Z. Everquest Next with Smedley saying it is going to be the biggest sandbox from an MMO ever.

Blade and Soul looks decent too. Really for years I have been waiting for Archeage because it seems promising. Maybe it is overhyped maybe not but from everything I read about it from people who have tried it they love it. I have hope for it. After that who knows. Every other game I have been playing I just call them "filler games" In the end gaming is my hobby so if I game hop so be it I have accepted that is how it goes with todays games. Don't give up it is just going to be like another year before we start seeing some decent titles.
