I had a lot of fun with EQOA on the ps2 back in its prime. The only reason I guess I wouldn't care for a console exclusive mmo would be because I don't want to put out the money to buy an xbox/ps3. Multiplatform releases like FFXI would be great though. |

It probably won't happen. And if it does it'll only be because their parent company wanted to. Doesn't look like Todd/Bethesda want to do it otherwise.
I would personally hate to see them make a ES MMO as well, for many of the reasons already listed in this thread: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/4646451#4646451 They would have to remove almost everything that makes the Elder Scrolls games fun and unique in the first place. |

This is why I love complex and hard games!

That was pretty cool/funny towards the end. |

It's only a matter of time before the anime/waifu mods start showing up. |

Stuns/Knockdowns for extra mitigation/interrupting.

What is your favorite MMO that is currently out?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/30/11 2:33:14 PM
I've been spending alot of time in City of Heroes since it went f2p. I agree with the above posters though, Vanguard was a lot of fun. |

If the f2p goes in effect for NA users, then absolutely I will. |

It would likely mean removing all the stuff that makes the Elder Scroll series good, and replacing it with generic MMO questing/grinding/raiding/tiered equipment/etc. Interaction with objects in the world would be gone, stealing/thievery in general would be gone, modding would be gone, the economy would likely be simplified to remove mercantile and speechcraft related features. The games atmosphere would likely be ruined. The list goes on with numerous little things that would have to be changed, simplified, balanced, or removed. It wouldn't be a recognizably Elder Scrolls game. Same thing if a Fallout 3/NV based MMO was made. So no, unfortunately I would not want Bethesda to try and make an MMO. |

Battlegrounds should not be on PvP Servers
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/19/11 5:10:58 PM
/signed Instanced PvP almost always make any open world PvP content irrelevant and ignored. I think this would be a good fix to allow players to choose their prefered method of PvP. |

What are you playing now and WHY?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/18/11 10:28:30 PM
Lineage 2 - It's free, and i'm having fun with it so far. City of Heroes - Probably what most of my time goes into as far as MMO's go, main reason I play it is it's a very group-friendly game. PUGS are common and abundant, which I like very much. Also it's free. World of Tanks - Play it when I want to get my PvP fix. Free. Skyrim - What i've spent most of my time playing since it came out.

I enjoyed it, needs more group content though. Solid sandbox otherwise. |

Most Complete List of Sandbox MMO's?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/17/11 4:28:59 PM
I would add Ryzom, Fallen Earth, and Mabinogi to the list, along with the others already posted. |

Ryzom and Fallen Earth are 2 good f2p sandboxes already mentioned. Mabinogi is pretty good as well. |

How Soon We Forget SWTOR First Offering
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/11/11 1:57:50 PM
A shame TOR isn't using the KotoR ruleset, I might have been a bit more interested in trying it out if it did. It's why I don't think TOR is all the similar/good as the KotoR series, they play entirely differently, except for the conversation system. |

Lineage 2? Now is a good time to jump in the game with everyone starting fresh on the new servers and while populations are heavy. |

Whats the appeal of oversized weapons in MMO's lately?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/10/11 6:12:27 PM
Giant sword syndrome. But really I guess it's just the idea/concept beyond giant weapons that people like. If we can like the idea of an old man with a pointy hat conjuring up fireballs, I don't see the problem with a strong warrior wielding a sword the average person wouldn't be able to lift.
I think the people in this thread are looking into the whole thing way to deeply, when the appeal to those who like it is very simple. |

Group play mainly. |

What Game would you want to have remade?
General Gaming « General Discussion 12/02/11 12:30:43 PM
Arx Fatalis, or maybe a sequel for it. Gothic 3 had a lot of potential, properly polished it would have been great. Freelancer Hellgate London, another that had a lot of potential. With proper polishing and a more open ended world I think it would be great. |

I enjoyed Lineage 2 and Aions soundtracks. Vanguard also had some good songs in certain areas. Though not on the list, i've always felt DAoC had some great ambient tracks, it's a shame they never really made a soundtrack with the ingame music bits. The one they did make is mostly songs inspired by the game I believe. |
