Use some offensive nuke spells with a little bit of one handed melee and after the mob goes down the XP is split and put into casting and one handed melee.

Wholeheartedly agree. Most definitely Ryzom.

When you do get to the website make sure you download the client patch if you haven't already, as without the tiny little thing you won't be able to log in even when you get an account!

I've had exactly the same experience. People have ran to help me and showered me with gifts because "that's how things work in this game."

You can pretty much solo anything with henchmen on normal mode to be honest, so no need to worry.

I don't mind not being able to jump. In real life you don't see people jumping around all over the place, they walk around objects.

Anyway, you have my vote OP.

I've gotten that feeling back by playing Ryzom. It's exactly what I've been looking for all this time.

Don't make the mistake of playing the game the way people tell you to play it. Do what you consider fun.

I'm glad to see that so many are having their eyes opened to Ryzom. It really does slap you in the face like a wet fish screaming "You idiot! I've been here all along."

I agree, the previous companies did fail at it, but the current company are still in the testing phase. Let's hope they do things right this time.

My favourite is Prophecies and my worst is Factions, though the latter isn't really bad per se', just didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoy the others. Alliance Battles are very fun though which wouldn't be there had it not been for Factions.

The highest resolution I can select is 1280 x 1024.

It's an awesome game. My only advice to new players is PLAY PAST THE STARTER ISLAND. Whatever you do.

The setting is one of the things about Ryzom I love the most. It's original.

I think they're waiting until they're done with testing etc. That's why they're limiting account creations etc. They haven't completed what they want to do yet.
