MW3 is a map pack.  I just watched an amazing video of BF3 today where a guy in a jet is being followed by another jet, he heads straight up in the air, jumps out, hits the pursuing jet with a rocket launcher and then falls back into the jet and keeps on flying.  He loaded it on youtube to the theme of the A Team.  You dont have awesome moments like that in MW3.  BF3 didnt outsell MW3 but it is gaining and more people are getting tired of paying $60 for a map pack so I dont see them breaking any records on the next one.

I told you so.  While it did not have a princess, it certainly was not the event it was hyped to be.  I am a bit sad that the original post was deleted so I can not go to the place where I and some unnamed GM bookmarked to comment on the event afterwards.  It would have been nice to paste some of the quotes that he and other players of the game have on the event.  While I applaud the SV team for trying, it really shows a lack of managerial practice.  You can not just let a few GMs get together in a room sharing a pizza and expect them to come up with "The biggest event in MO history" (to quote from the initial post that was deleted). 

This is the whole issue with SV, unprofessional actions and a severe lack of preparation.  They try and do something good but only screw it up and make matters worse.  It really shows the desperation in the company when you have to send GM's to other forums and force poorly planned events in an effort to keep the doors open and keep players from leaving.

You mean it is not going to be like STO where you pay $15 a month AND an extra $3 to play a Federation Klingon?  You mean they wont charge for each new item going into the game like Cryptic?

Cant or wont?  Is it because you lack the information or because you are not allowed to share it?  My guess is that one or two people are working part-time on AI between other duties but you try to hide this fact behind words like "The Team".  This is one of the many issues people dislike SV, the lack of transparency.  If you actually approached the community humbly instead of trying to fake it like you were a big time dev house, the reception would be much different.

Can you qualify that statement?  What does a "big commentor" refer to?  What percentage of posts in a 5 page thread do I have to make to be a BIG commentor?  The truth is, I was genuinely curious about the initials and wondered if it had something to do with Henriks country of origin.  I have a masters in international business and am generally curious about business practices in other countries.   I did not read the entire thread but I may have commented on several posts where you tried to spin things but that comes from my distaste of all marketing coverups and half-truths.

 

Once again I ask you to stop the hiding behind things and just be honest with the community.  The stuff where you come to the board and just post how the population is rising and there are so many things to do in the game is not going to work.  What would work is an apology from Henrik and for you to focus on the now.  Stop trying to answer questions about the past with marketing speak, we can see through it.  Post a frickin video and SHOW people in the game having fun.  Comment on events happening in the game right now.  Give us an update on what territory has been captured and who is doing well and who is failing miserably in the game.  Thats the stuff that draws people in, not the half-truths about "the whole team is working on AI" when really it is one guy who is doing it between 8 other assignments.  Be honest, it will help you more than you know.

You guys are getting a bit silly with all the colors and poor formatting.  I can not tell who is posting or what is being commented on anymore.

Why does it take so long for you to produce a fraps of the "many players" having these great fights?  My personal opinion is that you need time to get together with other GM's to gather enough people to make it seem like it is true.  Surely you guys have done enough favors for a certain guild or two to get them to help you?

If you need permission to post a fraps that you already have, do you also need permission to post here each time?  Is Henrik reviewing each of your posts before you are allowed to post them?

Why is "flying" by a GM so secret that it would need permission?  Do you believe that SV is the only company that has the technology to allow GM's to fly in games?

It has been days since you made the claim of catching this 90 person fight on fraps.  Why does it take so long to get permission?  Is your boss not available to you?

Why are other videos of the game on youtube made by flying GM's but you need permission to show yours?

Dont hate me but...  Since I was stupid enough to buy the lifetime sub to STO, I have been playing it to get into my Sci-Fi groove.  On the bright side, after 8 more days of STO, I will be easily impressed with TOR.

You are very vague in your statement, would you mind clearing it up a bit for us?  I made two claims, SV has continued to cut costs and SV has continued to lose money.  Based on those facts that are easily found in the financial statements it only figures that over the last quarter the sub numbers have fallen. 

Are you saying SV has not cut costs OR are you saying they have not lost money continually on the financial reports?  If you are saying they have not lost money, I think we might need to speak to the financial reporting agency in their country because it is a fact they have reported losing money and if this is not true, they are violating several legal standards.  If you are saying SV has not been cutting costs then I refer you to this line in the financial report under the title CEO Henrik Nystrom comments: “Program to reduce our costs are developing well”.  I would link more but honestly, I don’t think it matters how many cost-cutting links I post, you will continue to deny anything negative about SV.

Can you please explain to me how you can cut costs, report losing more money each quarter and at the same time increase revenue (more subs)?  How does a company take in more money (increase its subs), spend less (by reducing staff and cutting costs) and then report a loss in money?  This is why you will not have much of an effect on these boards, because you come here under false pretenses.  

SV could get a lot of subs back if you just came here and said, “Guys, we know we made some mistakes but we would like to make it up to you.  We want your feedback to help us build a master list of things you would like fixed or added to the game and then we are going to focus on it, report every two weeks on the progress and we are going to try and earn your business back.  We are sorry for how things have transpired so far and we are going to change things.”

Instead you come here with “Subs are increasing and we are having the biggest events ever and the game is all rainbows and butterflies and the few haters don’t know what they are talking about and I don’t know why you guys hate SV so much when they are such a great company who really care about the world and have never lied or spoken a half truth.”

So, back to my original question…  Are you denying the loss of money in each financial statement, the words of Henrik in each statement talking about cost cutting measures or have you developed a new business model where costs can go down, revenue can go up but you continue to lose money quarter after quarter? 

Honestly, do you really expect this guy to come here and say anything that could be taken negatively about the game?  He is not going to admit they are losing money even though the financial statements prove it.  He is not going to admit they have continued to lose subscribers each month even though we know SV has continued to cut staff and costs and still they continue to lose money.  You might get the occasional "we have some issues but they are being fixed" or "we had some issues in the past" line now and again but dont look for any unbiased opinion from a person whose job it is to promote the game.

I pre-ordered the CE on day one.  I have the 15th, 16th and 17th off and plan to sit there, eat hot pockets, and watch the full story of the agent unfold...

The same guy who complained about having to read mission text and wanting to skip the cutscenes later complains he did not feel like he was a part of the story.  No crap buddy, you cant just run around and level, skipping all the story and then wonder why you dont feel a part of the story.

With the many, many items that can be handed in for PP he is asking for feedback/suggestions - he of course gets this from the Dev Team, Support Team and the Focus Group - it's nice he's asking the wider community.

I'm confused, are you saying you did NOT have a way to track items before?  You specifically said "tools we have now" and even Henrik makes it seem these tools are all new to SV.

For CE pre-orders though, not only should you be guaranteed the full 5 days,{mod edit} because that shyt is outrageously overpriced.

So you feel that pre-ordering 2 weeks before launch is enough to get you more than one day of extra game time but the people who ordered months ago only get 5 days? 

Here is what I recommend you do to get a "real" grasp on what you deserve... 

1. Take the total amount of time the game has been available for preorder before the launch date. 

2. Divide that into 5 equal parts

3. See where you end up which pre-ordering just two weeks before launch.

I think pre-order started July 21st but I could be wrong.  Based on that I get the following breakdown:

July21-Aug20 = 5 day early access

Aug21-Sept20 = 4 day early access

Sept21-Oct21 = 3 day early access

Oct22-Nov21 = 2 day early access

Nov22-Dec19 = 1 day early access

To be honest, this is not what they will do, they will probably take the total number of preorders and divide it that way but also give some extra effort to CE and DD editions over the basic edition. 

Honestly, no matter how you look at it from a FAIR point of view, someone who pre-ordered in Dec should not get more than a days worth of early access.  Sorry mate, I think you are asking for more than you deserve.

Working for Cryptic is like being in GoonFleet in Eve, once you are in it, you get all freaky and then when you try to leave for a normal corp you find you dont fit in to the regular world anymore...  :)

It is a big list of improvements.  While I hate the dilitium thing, there are some nice additions in this season.

What are your thoughts on the widespread GM corruption in the game?

Do you honestly feel an ex-underwear model is qualified to design an online game and compete with real developers who have had years of training?

Why does it take years for gigantic bugs to be removed from the game such as the FAIL bug?

Why do you feel this game with its revolutionary concepts has managed to maintain less than 5000 subscribers?

How do you explain successful indie games like Terrerria and minecraft that have over a million sales and yet MO is pretty much in the basement?  Do you feel it has anything to do with the quality of the content in the game?

What are your thoughts on the many items that were advertised to be in the game and yet, years later are not?

Do you feel it is wrong for the community to think that Henrik is a liar after everything that has gone on?

Why do horses still float in the air in the game?

Why is there always a major dupe bug after each patch or update?
