SWTOR will defeat STO - here's why

Originally posted by greed0104 So take your ass to the board of a game you support, nobody is asking or wanting you to stop by and post. You and every other sniveling vet seems to think you're of importance when you're nothing more then a speck in the MMO world. You have a few games listed under your avatar, so why are you not on one of those respected forums or actually playing your non "noob MMOs". My only guess is they're so bad you felt the need to stop by here and grief us with your presence. And to be clear, I'm not talking about every SWG Vet. If you felt insulted, I did my job and found my mark(s). FINALLY someone else tells these people that. I always felt like the only one.
Honestly, if you don't like a game, and just want to bash it, then why post on the games forum unless you're trolling? |

Look, both Star Wars and Star Trek are good. I don't see why either has to beat each other. I love both even if I like Star Wars grittiness more than Star Trek shinyness. |

There's very little "Hype pf praise and success" about this game. Some people say they like it, but mostly they speculate on what they'd like to see. Most of it is just game bashing. Didn't your mother ever tell you not to tell lies? |

It may be a weird thing to complain about but...

Yet more complaining about nothing. You don't know the facts of anything you stated but you decided to upset people by posting it anyway. There's a word for that... troll. You aren't a troll, are you? See, most of us have gotten sick to death of hearing the doom and gloom from people. It just never stops on here. No other game has ever attracted so much "its going to fail", "it sucks", "we're all going to hate it" as this one has. At some point its got to stop. If you think you are going to hate it, then there is no reason to post on this forum about it other than to upset people. I don't go to the Eve forum and rant in a big long post about how much the game sucks, and I don't go to the WoW forum and make a big long post about how much this game is going to suck. Why? Because I just don't care that much. If I don't like a game, I'm perfectly capable of letting it go. And yet, for some unknown reason, the doomsayers have gathered on this particular game to just constantly do nothing but claim how horrible it will be based on unsubstantiated rumor. Its gotten old and incredibly annoying. Here's an idea... do the healthy thing and move on to the next game that you will actually like. |

It does and it doesn't. Nothing on the cash shop is useful other than some potions to increase xp gain. They are also selling station transfer buttons on there. Everything else that they sell is all stupid stuff like items for your house that don't give status but look nice, pretty "armor" for your "armor looks" slots, and worthless pets that don't do anything but look pretty.
And what djnexus has decided to ignore is that there is ONE item that does that in the two years since it was released so he's way overreacting over nothing. Its an extremely rare item and I have never known anyone who got one in the over 4 years that I've been playing. |

Honey, I hate to disappoint but thats obviously a placeholder date and means nothing at all. Until you hear something from the devs, just dismiss it as rumor and nothing more. |

lol @ Bioware launching a hassle free MMO when they can't even nail a single player...
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 11/15/09 10:56:22 AM
I've had no problems getting or playing Dragon Age so I have no idea what you're talking about. My husband had a glitch once where it froze but thats all. We've been playing since the day after it was released (LOVE this game. We're switching off. I get the xbox today since he had it all yesterday. :D).
Frankly, Dragon Age is the most fun I've had in a game since Mass Effect and KOTOR 1 and 2 before that. Its an excellent game.
As for nail a single player, what the hell are you talking about? This game is turning into almost exactly what I want in an MMO.
I think you're trolling. |

Yes, I can't wait for a lightsaber. We don't know what colors will be available. They haven't said. We don't know how customizable they will be, but I do hope they are very customizable. At the least, it would be wonderful if they were as customizable as KOTOR 2. It would be great if they'd let us have a monthly contest where people get to design lightsaber handles and send them in to the devs. The winner has their lightsaber handle added to the game as a possibility for us to choose. |

Then leave instead of posting to annoy people. See... if you weren't just trying to cause trouble, you'd just leave the game. At the most, you'd send a nasty email to the devs who can actually do something about your complaints. Instead, you're on here complaining. You'd do more damage to them by taking your money away than you will by going to a web site that doesn't even belong to them to list your complaints. I loath WoW too but I don't go to THEIR forum just to complain and list my grievances. I will never give them my money again. Thats enough. I guarantee that nobody here cares that you've decided you hate this game. |

I bought retail purchase and did NOT get 'Stone prisoner'. But I did get a code for the dragon armor...which I used and never recieved the armor or quest on how to get the armor. I am not lying to justify anything...no more than I feel you are lying to justify your position. Also if you are gonna tell me they are charging for extra content because it was delayed...that is total crap. There is no reason at all why PC users should be charged. If these two quests are included in the console versions, then they should be free to download f or the PC version.
So what about that cost. All expansions cost money and they always have. You need to learn to deal with it. |

Honey, you don't have proof of any of that. Your basic excuse is that "it isn't going to be exactly like WoW so its going to suck". |

Simple, this game is infinitely better than LOTRO. I've played both. In fact, I've beta'd LOTRO and my husband recently had an account (which he cancelled out of boredom). |

Dragon Age is an excellent game. I haven't had this much fun since Mass Effect. If SW: TOR is as good as Dragon Age, they have a hell of a good game on their hands. |

ALL MMO's are meant for 12 year olds. The fact that most of us that play them are in our 20's just shows how immature most of us are. WoW is the worst of the bunch. So what. Incidentally, I'm 33. Its called "having fun".
1. We don't know that there is heavy instancing only that there is instancing so stop blowing things out of proportion. 2. Many games open without certain things in them. Housing and crafting are two of the things that tend to be added later. Stop overreacting. If you haven't realized this yet, there's something wrong with you. 3. Your short levelling curve is total speculation on your part which is utterly childish. Beta hasn't even opened yet which means you don't bloody know how its going to level.
Now how about you chill out and wait until the damned devs start to release information before you go making it up to suit your own fears. |

I honestly have no idea. I've never heard of that before. Post this on the official forums. |
