Enjoy!

Not everyone wants to play noob MMOs out there you know.

So take your ass to the board of a game you support, nobody is asking or wanting you to stop by and post.

You and every other sniveling vet seems to think you're of importance when you're nothing more then a speck in the MMO world. You have a few games listed under your avatar, so why are you not on one of those respected forums or actually playing your non "noob MMOs". My only guess is they're so bad you felt the need to stop by here and grief us with your presence.

And to be clear, I'm not talking about every SWG Vet. If you felt insulted, I did my job and found my mark(s).

FINALLY someone else tells these people that. I always felt like the only one.

Honestly, if you don't like a game, and just want to bash it, then why post on the games forum unless you're trolling?

Look, both Star Wars and Star Trek are good. I don't see why either has to beat each other. I love both even if I like Star Wars grittiness more than Star Trek shinyness.

Yet more complaining about nothing. You don't know the facts of anything you stated but you decided to upset people by posting it anyway. There's a word for that... troll. You aren't a troll, are you?

See, most of us have gotten sick to death of hearing the doom and gloom from people. It just never stops on here. No other game has ever attracted so much "its going to fail", "it sucks", "we're all going to hate it" as this one has.

At some point its got to stop.

If you think you are going to hate it, then there is no reason to post on this forum about it other than to upset people. I don't go to the Eve forum and rant in a big long post about how much the game sucks, and I don't go to the WoW forum and make a big long post about how much this game is going to suck. Why? Because I just don't care that much. If I don't like a game, I'm perfectly capable of letting it go.

And yet, for some unknown reason, the doomsayers have gathered on this particular game to just constantly do nothing but claim how horrible it will be based on unsubstantiated rumor.

Its gotten old and incredibly annoying.

Here's an idea... do the healthy thing and move on to the next game that you will actually like.

and to be devil's advocate.. I'm sick to death of all the HYPE of praise and success when the game isn't even out..

I will agree with one thing tho.. "It's gotten old and incredible annoying"... :)

There's very little "Hype pf praise and success" about this game. Some people say they like it, but mostly they speculate on what they'd like to see. Most of it is just game bashing. Didn't your mother ever tell you not to tell lies?

It feels like the world is moving around me instead of me moving around the world, like the Planet Express ship. Also when you attack enemies from afar they sprint towards you at sonic speed. Is it impossible to kite in this game?

Honey, you don't want to play a game where it takes real life time to travel anywhere. You'd be insanely bored.

The game is also supported by Live Gamer, which allows gold, items and characters to be sold for real money. And much of that is hardly a "microtransaction". :P On the plus side, it is players selling them, not the company.

Which most people don't even know exists so it isn't game breaking.

People need to stop making it into more than it is.

It does and it doesn't. Nothing on the cash shop is useful other than some potions to increase xp gain. They are also selling station transfer buttons on there. Everything else that they sell is all stupid stuff like items for your house that don't give status but look nice, pretty "armor" for your "armor looks" slots, and worthless pets that don't do anything but look pretty.

And what djnexus has decided to ignore is that there is ONE item that does that in the two years since it was released so he's way overreacting over nothing. Its an extremely rare item and I have never known anyone who got one in the over 4 years that I've been playing.

Honey, I hate to disappoint but thats obviously a placeholder date and means nothing at all. Until you hear something from the devs, just dismiss it as rumor and nothing more.

Here is a few ways to make the game fail.

1. All is forced guesting.

Questing is good. Deal with it. In fact, you were told outright that this game is storyline based. That means alot of questing.

2. If the armor is the big thing in the game, and if armor only comes from guesting, crafting, and are left out from normal drops, ( and looting from players - that is if there is any form for FvsF pvp).

See answer to number one.

3. Chars building are boring. Players needs to have more the 2 - maby 3 way to make them unik as in anyother game.

The word is "unique", NOT unik. You invalidated any argument you might have had with that crap. You need to have respect for your readers and actually use the English language. As for character builds.. we'll so. I'm not like you. I don't believe every rumor out there.

4. If there is no FvsF / RvsR pvp in the game, but this part allso need a concept, not a free for all - killing. It needs a system, as DAOC - AION - WH but fare better, so its new.

PvP is not for everyone and I hope to hell they don't turn this into a PvP game. This game is supposed to be based on story. That means questing. Again, deal with it.

5. There have to be ways for tactical war, that means no readers, no stealth and no easy binding skills.

What a load of crap. Look kid, this game obviously isn't for you. Please go elsewhere. You'll be alot happier.

6. Allso in a univers as SWTOR there needs to be free flight, and other transports.

I hope to hell that flying isn't only a side part of this game. You seem to want Eve, not SWTOR, so go play Eve.

7. And alot more.....

Only by your mindset. The word "twink" comes to mind when it comes to you. Go play a game you'll be happier in.

The majority of the rest of us are not like you. If you just want a place to kill things, then go elsewhere. This isn't the game you are looking for.

I've had no problems getting or playing Dragon Age so I have no idea what you're talking about. My husband had a glitch once where it froze but thats all. We've been playing since the day after it was released (LOVE this game. We're switching off. I get the xbox today since he had it all yesterday. :D).

Frankly, Dragon Age is the most fun I've had in a game since Mass Effect and KOTOR 1 and 2 before that. Its an excellent game.

As for nail a single player, what the hell are you talking about? This game is turning into almost exactly what I want in an MMO.

I think you're trolling.

When is this lightsabershow launching?

I can't wait to be like everyone else! But the sabers come in all colors of the rainbow yes? To allow just a little bit of customization?

Oh oh I thought of a great guildname! Brotherhood of the lightsaber!! -> WHO IS WITH ME?!

*sighs* No one knows when its going to be launching. And I wish people would quit asking just because they're too lazy to look it up themselves. Even if MMORPG didn't say the launch date, the main game web site would.

Yes, I can't wait for a lightsaber. We don't know what colors will be available. They haven't said. We don't know how customizable they will be, but I do hope they are very customizable. At the least, it would be wonderful if they were as customizable as KOTOR  2. It would be great if they'd let us have a monthly contest where people get to design lightsaber handles and send them in to the devs. The winner has their lightsaber handle added to the game as a possibility for us to choose.

Here are the problems with EQ2:

It is so solo friendly that it is a joke, which is an understatement.

The quests are pointless.  They feel like a chore, just to get AA's.  People who say they hate grinding and then say they love the questing are beyond hypocritical.  The quests are a grind themselves.

The class set piece gear makes all other gear worthless in comparison and just vendor trash, so there is really 0 item diverstiy when everyone will just get the samethings.

There is 0 immersion with how choppy the zones are and that you can teleport anywhere from your guild houses, which brings me to my next point.

With each new expansion, with TSO being the most extreme, instances totally destroy immersion.  With the contested zones just being a place to do the pathectically easy solo quests, all the rest of the "challenging" mobs are in instanced zones.  If people want their own private zones so bad, why are they playing an MMO?  TSO was 1 open zone and like 20 instanced zones.  This required 0 creativity.

All of the no drop/attuneable gear limits the game's economy.

0 death penalty.  I have actually killed myself so i could respawn somewhere else, because it was faster to do so.  Corpse runs back in EQ1 gave you a reason to actually be careful when playing and fear dieing.  (remember running to the zone border for your life?)

PVP at level 80 is just a cluster-zerg to do pvp writs to get elite gear.  There is no actual point besides getting tokens for gear to pvp, which has made it pointless and actually not even fun.  I used to enjoy killing a player in EQ1 and sending them all the way back to their bind point.  It gave PVP more of an effect on the game.

Also, all of the other little things you used to be able to do in EQ1, like charm mobs, give weapons to mobs, put loot you dont want on the floor, kill the banker, wear whatever gear on any toon because no gear had level reqs, and so on.  EQ2 is full of restrictions and a lot of the carebears on EQ1 back in the day got all of the cool stuff that made the game feel immersive, nerfed.

All that EQ2 is, is getting 24 people in a private(instanced) zone, to see if they can learn the strats good enough to beat a script.  If raiding is all you want to do, then maybe its an awesome game.  But if you want a real open, free feeling, and unrestricted immersive game, then EQ2 is garbage.

I wrote this thread because I saw people writing about how deep this game is and that there are so many things to do, which is such crap.  You can just keep hitting the "I win" button to level 80 just going from one zone doing the exact same thing over and over again in this game.  And if you think doing things like running around the map collecting shinies is fun, then you rode the short bus and there is no point trying to reason with you.  SOE put stupid crap like that in the game to keep retards busy and it works.

Then leave instead of posting to annoy people.

See... if you weren't just trying to cause trouble, you'd just leave the game. At the most, you'd send a nasty email to the devs who can actually do something about your complaints. Instead, you're on here complaining. You'd do more damage to them by taking your money away than you will by going to a web site that doesn't even belong to them to list your complaints.

I loath WoW too but I don't go to THEIR forum just to complain and list my grievances. I will never give them my money again. Thats enough.

I guarantee that nobody here cares that you've decided you hate this game.

I as many others was not too impressed to see that after bying the game...there was 'premium content' which would force me to couph up another 20-40 bucks. I can understand this content being added later for players to buy...as a mini-expansion. But to seriously have it available to buy on the first day of release is a pathetic money grab. Saying they essencially held back some content of the the game, while developing it to add this extra content. This tells the customer...$60 isn't enouph for the full game, $100 is more worth it.

I find it pathetic when posters flat out lie to try and justify their position. The total cost of  premium content is $7.00 US, and that is for the Warden's Keep. The Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armor are included with every new retail purchase, no additional charge.

Also, the reason that 'The Stone Prisoner' and 'The Warden's Keep' are available at launch is because EA delayed the PC release to that of the consoles. If the PC version was released earlier this year as intended by Bioware, then everyone would be paying for $15 US for the 'The Stone Prisoner' instead of having it included in the retail price of the  game.

Downright lie?

The stone prisoner costs 1200 points

the Wardens Keep costs 560 points.

That is 1760 points = $7.00 for 560 points and $20.00 for 1600 points. So that equals $27.00. I bought retail purchase and did NOT get 'Stone prisoner'. But I did get a code for the dragon armor...which I used and never recieved the armor or quest on how to get the armor.

I am not lying to justify anything...no more than I feel you are lying to justify your position.

Also if you are gonna tell me they are charging  for extra content because it was delayed...that is total crap. There is no reason at all why PC users should be charged. If these two quests are included in the console versions, then they should be free to download f or the PC version.

So what about that cost. All expansions cost money and they always have. You need to learn to deal with it.

BioWare makes good single player story driven RPGs. Although I personally don't like their games as much as Bethesdas games I will say they are the best at telling a story in an RPG. This will not transition well online. There will be too many chiefs and not enough indians. MMOs cannot put a select few people on a pedistal and label them as the chosen one. You are not a unique snowflake. Look at every other successful MMO: you are just another soldier or citizen of your race/faction fighting for the good of the kingdom. STO is also going to suffer from the same issue. Every player will be a captain of their own ship with an NPC controlled crew. SWG did an excellent job by making sure each player was a lowly grunt, and once they stood out by unlocking Jedi they had a hefty bounty placed on their head. This typee mechanic works well, and its a shame Crypic isn't doing something similar to allow for multiple player run ships. Soon we are going to have more popular IPs becoming MMOs just to capitalize on the power of the IP, going for the instant gratification appeal (like with SWG NGE) and allowing any newb who just subscribed to be a class that takes years of training to reach (LotRO NOT letting players become mages for this very reason) or wouldn't fit the lore at all (SWG making Jedi a selectable class).

Ahh, I see. Fear mongering. How nice.

Honey, you don't have proof of any of that. Your basic excuse is that "it isn't going to be exactly like WoW so its going to suck".

Simple, this game is infinitely better than LOTRO. I've played both. In fact, I've beta'd LOTRO and my husband recently had an account (which he cancelled out of boredom).

Dragon Age is an excellent game. I haven't had this much fun since Mass Effect. If SW: TOR is as good as Dragon Age, they have a hell of a good game on their hands.

ALL MMO's are meant for 12 year olds. The fact that most of us that play them are in our 20's just shows how immature most of us are. WoW is the worst of the bunch. So what. Incidentally, I'm 33.

Its called "having fun".

1. We don't know that there is heavy instancing only that there is instancing so stop blowing things out of proportion.

2. Many games open without certain things in them. Housing and crafting are two of the things that tend to be added later. Stop overreacting. If you haven't realized this yet, there's something wrong with you.

3. Your short levelling curve is total speculation on your part which is utterly childish. Beta hasn't even opened yet which means you don't bloody know how its going to level.

Now how about you chill out and wait until the damned devs start to release information before you go making it up to suit your own fears.

I honestly have no idea. I've never heard of that before. Post this on the official forums.
