If CCP had $$$ signs in their eyes then how come they allow my rl friend to support 4 accounts without paying a dime due to PLEX cards? Seems counterproductive to allow established players the ability to easily garner the resources to buy game time with ingame funds to support four accounts to run simultaneously. Cheers! |

Woman dies after fall, apparently due to a 'play fight'
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 5/29/11 12:50:47 AM
http://www.11alive.com/rss/article/192600/3/MIDTOWN-Woman-dies-after-falling-from-hotel-window I love how the word 'accident' gets thrown around. Accident sets the presumption that no one was at fault. A play fight that leads to two people crashing out of a 10th story window. Tragic end, but the world accident just doesn't come to my mind. Cheers! |

MMO's have gone to crap since WoW came out.
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/29/11 12:43:59 AM
Originally posted by Orious I would be interested in knowing how innovation and depth have any relation? WoW offers more to do than most mmo's, especially the ones you mentioned. I currently subscribe to none, but have at one time or another played most. WoW offers tons of content, intuitive controls, casual play, tons of events, side games, crafting, etc... not to mention it runs well and has been relatively bug free compared to its contemporaries. This site is long known to have a large supply of posters who hate anything beyond nastolgic memories of old games that are on life support. I played them and they were good due to the fact it was a new concept and there were few options at the time. WoW had a magnificent affect on the industry by proving the potential income to investors. There are so many big projects in the works with many more in planning stages. All of them want a piece of the pie, thanks to WoW. Hating any industry or business that suceeds seems more like jealousy if you ask me. Blizzard has produced a product that millions agree is worth playing and paying for. Just because some people do not like it, does not mean it is the world's evil. Some people did not like Barney the dinosaur. Did that mean the end or ruination of the kids programming. No, it sparked an upsurge in kids programming. Same thing here. I think too many posters just hate for the sake of hating. Eventually (hopefully) people grow up and realize not everyone shares their opinions and/or the world does not revolve around them. Cheers! |

Obama given Witcher 2 CE during visit to Poland

I wonder if Obama's version of Geralt will sleep with all the women? Pretty good game so far. Cheers! |

I run the game maxxed on a i-5 2500k with a nvidia 560ti overclocked. I don't think your issue is with the cpu. I would check their forums for issues with your ati card and possible fixes. The recent patch increased fps for most users with the removal of the DRM feature on most copies of the game. Good luck mate. Cheers! |

MMORPG.com giving us clues to Bungie's and Blizzard's new mmos ?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/22/11 9:01:07 AM
Originally posted by k11keeper I suppose all those rpgs (da2, me2, etc...) that sold really well on the PC don't count eh? To the OP, I think this is all just coincidence in regards to your correlation. I just think they are trying to establish a network to improve hits and revenue. Cheers! |

Originally posted by Entropy14 I have to disagree and say likely E3 will be the next big set(s) of announcements with mmo's. Cheers! |

Originally posted by Arquiteto Im sorry that doesn't make much sense. They are still F2P games regardless of how they began. I agree Allods is a good f2p game, but has and still is ruined by Gpotato and their ever changing cash shop. Cheers! |

SWTOR EA on the team might ruin it.
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 4/08/11 9:07:36 PM
Originally posted by AKASlaphappy Lets also mention that Mythic promised EA a fully functioning AAA mmo in 3 years development with WAR. EA gave them an additional 6 months and more cash yet Mythic still failed. Funny how EA ended up the bad guys for supporting a group of developers who failed them, even after a second chance. Star Wars: The Old Republic: For Better or Worse
News Discussion « General Discussion 4/05/11 9:00:03 PM
You do realize there are eight classes. You forgot the inquisitor, both jedi classes, and the imperial agent. Back on topic, I do agree with Jon in his assessment and have felt the same way for some time. This game will make the market take pause to see how it fares... at least until blizzard releases Titan, then it will happen again. We will all wonder if that game will change the market again. Hopefully this will continue to happen and each will meet success in order to increase budgets and polish for future projects. Cheers! |

Originally posted by Garvon3 To say WoW is the simplest MMO on the market is a bit foolish imo. Free Realms, Toon town online, Pirates of the Carribean Online, Fusion fall, Clone wars, etc... are by far more simplier games. WoW is one of the most accessible games on the market I would say. Too many hate WoW for what I do not know. I have yet to see any evidence of how WoW has harmed anyone to this day to deserve the amount of bashing it gets. Teenagers are so funny how they want to be unique by following the crowd. Cheers! |

I play on Estrael and it is usually medium, going to high for primetime. I am noticing that players have spread out. The "Get to max level mentality" has left my bracket of pvp from instant queues to 5 to 30+ minute queues. This is really killing my enjoyment. I know it seems rather petty, but I enjoy exploring, crafting, and pvping. All of which is a much slower way of leveling than just quest grinding. This has also made finding dungeon groups much harder unless I devote to playing during primetime which life has a funny way of making that difficult. Just my 2 cents. Cheers! |

In one sentence, why the change in mood towards this game?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 3/23/11 7:16:44 PM
I would say the endless hyping of this game since October 2008 and still a general lack of knowledge about the majority of the games systems and content. Having to rely on beta leaks to watch as the game progresses due to overzealous marketing moderation. We keep getting told how awesome this game is with practically no evidence. I have to cite an old tv add:
WHERE'S THE BEEF?

ON Estrael server defiant is 1-10 mins, guardian 0-4 mins. Varies by server group. Cheers! |

If you've never experienced launch day of a major MMO

Originally posted by donkeys WoW had insane queues on launch as well. Its only a few servers like that on RIFT and those are servers that were targeted by a large number of guilds from other games. They have been adding new servers since they started this morning. Cheers! |
